The Basics
The quotations you see in some reports are created by the use of text known as "Tags" embedded in the report.
These Tags are not visible in the final text, their only purpose is to instruct the Forum how to format the report.
The "Quote Tags" tell the Forum to display the quoted text in the format you've seen in the Forum before.
FYI, when you use the Quote Button to quote another post, the Forum software automatically inserts these Quote Tags for you.
What to Quote
Please Quote anything that you didn't write yourself, including...
• Copies of Escort Ads.
• Copies of News Articles.
• Content written by other members.
• Content copied from other websites.
• Copies of Emails you wish to post in the Forum.
• Transcripts of Chat Room communications.
• QUOTE ANYTHING YOU DID NOT WRITE YOURSELF.
Copied material should always be accredited to the original author.
How to Quote
The Quote tags are easy to use. All you have to do is surround the text to be quoted with the quote tags.
As Written in the Report |
[quote]Text to be quoted here.[/quote]
|
As Displayed in Forum |
|
|
• The beginning tag is [quote], and the ending quote tag is [/quote]
• Please note that the quote tags are written with the brackets as shown here.
• Please note that the ending quote tag has a "/" forward slash.
• You will only see the quote tags when you are writing the report. They are not displayed in the forum.
Adding the Author's Name
It's very easy to add the Author's name to the quote. All you have to do is edit the beginning tag.
As Written in the Report |
[quote=Author Name Here]Text to be quoted here.[/quote]
|
As Displayed in Forum |

• The beginning tag is changed to [quote=Author Name Here].
• Please note that the beginning tag has an "=" equal sign.
Text Following the Quotation
You DO NOT need to add any returns AFTER the ending Quote Tag.
The forum will automatically add a blank line after the ending Quote Tag.
