Your drink at Hook is now 60p. Non-dancer gato-80p (alot of the chicas dance, so beware). Dancer drink-140p. The owner remodeled the place a few months back, so I guess he's recouping his outlay and following inflation as well. I haven't priced Cattos lately but it seems maybe Hook is the priciest destination in the Triangle now. Still, however, with alot of younger chicas, spinners and very few obese, or near obese, house pigs. The Madahos of the Triangle. Ahem.

I went there last night with another monger. They have done some renovations to the place and it looks nicer than before. The place was packed, probably about 20 chicas in there.

After the renovations the place has become the "go to" place in the Triangle, loads of fetching chicas, and hefty price increases for drinks, and the chicas. With the new found prosperity and acclaim, a lot of the girls there have the big head now. Similar to Black in that it's becoming more of a common thing for a bought drink not leading to a rented pussy. A shame.
Stopped off here about three weeks ago on the way back to Recoleta from centro around midnight.
Used to come here occasionally when I stayed in hotels in the centro. Best period was around 2002-3, lots of chicas although the quality was always variable. Best memory was an outing with two sisters from Mar del Plata who were new in town. We ended up in the telo with themed rooms down a block from the Café Orleans. Repeated with each of them separately on other nights – fun times. But the choice and numbers seemed to drop off over the years and in the end I stopped coming.

Not a bad place to start the evening – decent sound system, plenty of space to sit and have a beer and window shop. But I didn't see anything I liked and I soon left when I'd finished my drink.

This place is actually one of the best clubs at the moment, for the quality of girls.

I stopped in at Hook last night to have a drink and soak up atmosphere. I have a hard time getting into the rhythm of BA since I am in bed at 9 wake up at 4:30 guy in the States. The tactic of being liberal in buying drinks for the chicas is a good one if you are going to spend anytime in Hook. A chica who I did not talk to previously but knew Stranger said she remembered me from the other night. If we were hunting, I would call it chumming. Plus you will just have a better time talking to the chicas no matter how bad your Spanish is compared to sitting alone at the bar.
Maybe I learned a lesson in not passing up opportunity when it is presented. My favorite dancer Lucia was already taken when I arrived at the club and she went out never to return. I had it all set up on Monday. If you think a chica is attractive chances are other guys agree with you and that chica will be popular. So my top two are Lucia and this other one (actually who I think is the hottest) that Stranger and Gatohunter warned me against. I had problems in the past so I am following advice.

In negotiating a price for retrieval from Hook it would be beneficial to have a baseline for the more attractive providers of services, especially for extended periods of time. With the spread between the Blue rate and official rate, what adjustments have been made for services by the providers, at least in your situation. This information would be extremely helpful to others in negotiating with the ladies from Hook.

Arrived late, around 2:30 am, after hanging out at NP for an hour or so.
First impression was great. A few very hot 'pendejas', which is to say, college girls with very tight bodies and great asses.
Seems to me that prices have gone up though? Absolut Vodka 120 p. Chica drink (a tiny beer) 180 p. Talked to a few girls and all said the same thing, 800 p to go out. I imagine you could negotiate a fair bit with most of them.

I visited this venerable destination last night, Thursday, around 1 am And found it packed with equal numbers of both genders. Most of the talent was young and pretty and seemed to take turns dancing on the stage and bar. The music was loud and the joint was jumping. After perusing for an hour I settled on Gisela, a good dancer with a smoking body who claims to be in nursing school. Damages were $700 pesos out the door, plus my drink for $100 pesos, and the chica drink for $200 pesos. I enjoyed my session although I think in this case everyone's mileage will vary based on individual chemistry and preferences. For the club scene, this was the best selection I've seen so far, but then I don't go to super-high-end puterias. In fact, I'll soon connect with TL to arrange a visit to his Paraguayan bar in no-man's land...

The Dancers were happy to pick-up about 3 k a month in pesos and whatever drink commissions they fucked guys out of at the club. I thought that 100 p a night was too much when you have 50 dancers but I guess not. Manager told me it still paid off.
Anyway, that was then and this is now; there is no work as a "Dancer" so now a lot of them have to actually fuck to make a peso but do not allow them to fool you into thinking that you are the first and that you should feel honored to over pay her.

I've been coming to BsAs for years, and Hook reminds me of the early years at Madahos, but much smaller of course. If you went Saturday night it could well be a bust, as most clubs are that night. Also think things are changing fast as girls hop around from club to club to see what works best for them.
I consider myself very picky (I wouldn't go near most of the chicas whose pics have been posted here), and my last visit to Hook had me torn between about 5 that were just my type. Guess that's not really a big number, and the rest I wouldn't even consider, but I only need 1, so I have been happy with the place last few visits.
My tastes does seem to differ from many here though. I like all natural, fresh, healthy, good attitude chicas. Can't stand the hard pros with gross fake tits and asses who fake everything. 'ohhh papi, tan grande'. The less experienced the better, imo.

As for general price levels, I've had amazing meals (not just steak) for 150 to 250 pesos (the latter a 6 course meal in a closed door place, first class) wine included. I don't know where else you can get that?
Of course, if you pull out your CC and pay 24 pesos for a coffee, it's expensive. But bring cash, do a little homework, and I think it's as cheap now in every regard as it was 2 years ago.
P.S. Don't mean to criticise anyone for their tastes in women. To each their own I say. I understand (sort of) why some guys pick the super experienced older chicas, it's just not for me. As for general price levels, I've had amazing meals (not just steak) for 150 to 250 pesos (the latter a 6 course meal in a closed door place, first class) wine included. I don't know where else you can get that?
Of course, if you pull out your CC and pay 24 pesos for a coffee, it's expensive. But bring cash, do a little homework, and I think it's as cheap now in every regard as it was 2 years ago.
P.S. Don't mean to criticise anyone for their tastes in women. To each their own I say. I understand (sort of) why some guys pick the super experienced older chicas, it's just not for me. Besides, it'd be pretty easy for almost anyone to pick up a 40 yr old MILF here, just go to any place in las canitas on weekends, they are everywhere and they are agressive in my experience, totally opposite the stand offish 20 somethings.

Was in Hook last night after a very long time and basis the good reports, I had been reading.
Nothing spectacular.
Saw Kamikaze with a nice looking girl. I am not sure how it went.
And saw one more nice looking girl, who as per Stranger gives the best BJ in town.

Maybe it's a negative sell strategy, i.e. act disinterested and make the customer grovel for their attention to jack up the price, or maybe they just don't care. It's a very different experience compared to the service and attention one gets in a good privado at less than half the price.

On my first visit to Hook this trip, I sat at one of the tables at the end of the bar because all the dancers have to walk past that table to change back into their club-clothes so it's easier to make contact. But none of them would make eye contact or smile as they passed my table except one, so I asked her to sit and chat with me. At that moment, 4 young asians entered the club, bought a bottle of champagne and sat on the couch by the dance poles. The girl I asked to sit and chat with me said that management had ordered her to go sit with the 4 asians, and that I should come back another time. So, I let that slide, and went to the "Point" which was also pointless.

Decided to give Hook another try tonight, but without success. So far I've easily pulled from Cattos, Excedra, and the Point for under $1,000 pesos, but for some reason the girls at Hook don't make eye contact and only talk amongst themselves and their cell phones. I had another chat about it with the doorman on my way out and he said, "It's not that kind of club." Whatever...

The sticker shock for me is the chica drinks which are now up to 250 P. Since I have been taking out a regular recently I always take two hours so currently you are at 650 P plus taxi fees (75 P?) before you pay the girl.

I walked into Hook last night at 12:30 AM and there was one other guy that I saw. So basically just about everyone of the hottest girls in the club was unoccupied. Hook is closed on Sunday. All day and night.
It's open Monday thru Saturday from about 10 pm until 5 am but most of the girls don't arrive until 12:30 am.
1 am being an excellent time to arrive and Wed or Thursday being the best nights.

IMO a visit to BA will not be complete without them. And even if you have other plans in the evening, they are usually a reliable back-up if your original plans go south.
I think Hook is closed on Sundays but Cattos is open. While they both open earlier, the best chica selection will always be after 11 pm.
You can hang out at Exedra while waiting for 11 pm to come around. It is two blocks away. You might spot a backup chica here just in case the clubs don't work out (but usually these clubs have something good).
I took Esten's advice below and went to Hook every night.
This is my third time visiting BA. I am an avid monger but rarely get to Argentina. (sad). When I do, it is a pleasurable solo week.
Hook did not disappoint. This is a small club so even though there are only 15 girls, it feels like the place is packed. The quality is more than good. Much better than Black. I went there every night and pulled a girl every night.

TL, I think you would be surprised that people are very curious about what people make. I work for a public entity and the local newspaper (the Republican one of course) publishes my salary and other reimbursement every year.
I am not sure how in-depth should the reports be about a specific girl....? Looks is very personal. My 9 could be your 7 and even if we all agree on the number, we may not agree on the vibe and needs in bed. Re Price negotiations: I ask for the price before I order a drink and but I only negotiate the price before the drink order only if she quotes a ridiculous price. Lets say she says 2000 peso for 1 hr, I will offer what I am willing to pay and the services I need and confirm that it is 1 hr in your hotel and 1 hr does not include transport. I do all this before I order the drink. But lets say she says 1500 and I want to offer 1300, I do not negotiate the price too much but I work out other details before the 250 peso drink. She is more willing to agree to 1300 at the end of 20 minutes because by then hopefully you have demonstrated that you are a gentleman and you know how to treat women. I hope it makes sense.

Tres3.Some save and some don't, just like anyone else although it's not easy for anyone to save in Argentina with 30- 40 inflation a year. I don't find them any dumber or smarter then anyone else, except they found a way to make allot more money than they normally might.
I know one girl at Hook who owns a kiosk that she bought with her earnings and has several employees. Another is making and selling bikini. Most of them are very good with sales, so maybe something will come out of it after they lose their looks.

They go to work 5-6 nights a week and blank half the nights. For the money they do make, they are paying their baby sitters, boyfriends, and usually supporting their extended families as well. They never have any credit on their phones and after 3-5 years the still only own the clothes on their backs. After they can't compete at Hook they slide to Ness or clubs like the one on Marcello T. Then it's Exedra then after that the street or they are answering a phone in a remiseria. I just had one of them desperately asking for work, any kind of work at all last week.
I'm not going to fight with you about this hoss, I mean no disrespect at all. The chick I was talking about turned down 4-8000 pesos a month in a steady gig. She knows I have the money, she knows it would be steady work, and she passed it up because it wasn't 60% more which is what she charges each individual guy for a first date. No volume discount on a non marginal product is really bad business.

As far as whether Hook is in service or retail it is a retail store that sells drinks, it's only source of income. The girls keep ALL the income they receive from their clients.
From the chica perspective it is a service industry and the terms used - clients and service providers - are strictly service industry terms.
I guess you would say its a mix: service for the chicas, retail for the bar..

I think the viewpoint of at least one of the girls I know is that she does not want to be high volume and would prefer to have regulars. She is very concerned about her health so it is a strange business to be in. There is some wear and tear that goes with being high volume versus trying to be a luxury item.
The case where the girl turned down Daddy Rulz's offer of a steady gig is more perplexing. Maybe she did not want to get emotionally involved. Once you start seeing someone that often I would think some sort of connection would develop.
