Used to be my favorite waterhole and hunting ground in BA.
I have serious issues with a lot of girls there and do not go much anymore, but if I came to BA for the first time, did not speak Spanish this is the first place I would go.
No entrance fee or chicka drinks, decadent music and sometime live bands.
The quality of girls is mixed, there are some really horrible ugly old bags there, carful to go here if you are drunk, the light is bad and makeup can do wonders in the shade, hehe.
Among all the garbage there normally are a few jewels. Loots of half pros and regular girls that need money drop by. I have had some amazingly beautiful girls from here, among others a coupe of out of work models.
Many of the girls speak English and going prize is about 400-600 pesos, I know guys have got it for 300 and other have been asked for 800, but 500 should get you most of the girls.
Best time is to get there before 01, Wednesday-Friday, I always come early, and as soon as I see a girl I like I ask the barman to get them a drink and they will come over. If you wait they will be taken and you are stuck with the old bags. (Once girls leave they rarely come back for round two).
Has been my stop on my way to Madahos the last two years and 80% of the time I never make it to Madahos because I meet something good here.
The things that works for me is; come early / stay late, come often and tip the barman. That works at any club I have ever been any place on the planet except on Black.
Anyway, I have not been much to NP lately, got to many issues with to many girls there to really make it what it used to be, for me.
After an awesome start of the night at Nuevo in la pampa I dropped in for a drink on my way to Madahos. It was 02ish, a little early for my wallet to go to Madahos, and a bit late in my experience for NP.
After one drink I did not see anybody I liked, so I decided to bite the bullet and spend a few 1000 on Madahos. I called over the bartender and asked for the bill.
The Bartender, Robert, likes me. I most likely have put his kids thru collage and he is probably planning to upgrade his house when he heard I was in town, hehe. He was disappointed that I was leaving and asked why, I told him I did not see anything I liked.
Here is where the tipping comes in; the barman knows anything that happens in the place, if he likes you he will tell you the truth and guide you. He started to point our all the different girls, but I told him that he knows what I like; pretty, sparkling, early 20ish slim and fit girls with great attitude and not a 'hardcore prostituted mindset'.
Robert pointed me to a girl he said just come to town, bla-bla-bla, and that this one I would like. I looked at her and liked what I could see and I told him to get her a drink.
Barman calls girl over and girl walks up and wants a big draft beer, always a good sign! Turns out girl is serious fun and cool, I decided that I have saved 400 pesos in chica drink at Madahos since I do not plan to leave without this girl. We talk, drink and I tell her it is time to go.
Arriving at the lobby at the house I tell her that we should get the money issues out of the way. She wants 200 USD. I tell her that I know she is new here and that I normally always pay the girls from NP 500 pesos. But that since she was just arriving in town and I liked her I would give here 800 pesos. (I know some of you think this is overpaying, but I already had expected to spend 1000+drinks on a girl from Madahos).
AND I told her that the 800 were on condition she was a naughty, naughty girl! (She was!)
Got her to the strip pole, found out that somebody had disconnected the music. (hehe, I wonder who and why.). So I had to get my laptop for the music.
Strip pole, stairs, my room everywhere! Holy Moses! It was good!
Girl left at 8 this morning since she had to go to her sister, was another excellent and memorable experiences in BA, all thanks to me tipping the barman.

I have no idea what brought me in here last night. Exhausted with hanging out with the 2 beautiful sisters the last 3 days I couldn't get it up if my life depended on it.
So, like a fool, I got up from bed and walked in on in.
Ran into Brisa, a gal I had tagged from Cafe Orleans earlier this week. Wasn't willing to repeat since the experience was not inspiring.

Music was ok at first, but then some karaoke type male singer screwed up what was left of the dismal atmosphere.
I left at 2:30am and then slumbered my way down to Blacks....

the drastic decrease of the tourist number due to AR inflation. Tt's not a good deal
to visit Argentina anymore, everything is more expensive than that of the States.

AS TL says there are some not first rate ladies there. I have likely found more gems in this place than any other club in BA. I don't live in BA and my last visit to new port was December. 2011. Maybe the place has changed? I have a few friends that are part of groups of girls and they introduced to their friends. That way I have a reference. I am really looking at newport to meet new girls. I have enough cell numbers that I am in a bar to meet someone new-some will be duds, but I have done pretty good with new port girls over the years and will continue. Of course you need to use common sense and say no thank you when you get a bozo price or the woman really doesn't want to see you.
If there are 50 ladies in the bar, you only need one or two. If the first five don't work for you, go to number 6. Who cares if there are 20 you wouldn't do if they paid you-there are 30 others. I have met some real gems in this place and also had a number of experiences I would rather not remember. If fist time encounters, generally if you are batting 400, you'll be in the hall of fame[40%}
If you are lost or lazy call TL and he'll make so easy that a caveman can do it. For a first visit without spanish, part of your buget might be well spent under TL's guidance to help you get your barrings.

After a few months of self-imposed exile from this place where I only came once in a while, (normally short trip a couple of times a week) , I decided to include NP back in my program. For me this means all night. 7 days a week, hehe.
I realized quick how much I missed this place in my daily mongering / party routine. It is nothing else like it in BA. The last few months I have gone much to many other places, Hook, Nuevo, Madahos, Black and a few other. New port is simply for me the best mongering place in BA.
It is the combination of a regular bar with a great bartender; good music and you can fuck all the girls' inn there! Hehe And there is a lot of them, and they are pretty.
The place in it self is also nice, it is a good bar even without the chicas. Even if people smoke there the air is good. As a non-smoker many of the other clubs nearly get me sick after a while.
They have two bands that play on regular basic, one of them are actually very good.
Here is no chica-drinks, requirement to buy girls' drinks or entrance fee, neither for you or the girls. They come and go as they please. This makes the girls there a lot friendlier and less pushy than other clubs.
Some girl's come all the time other shows up when they need money. Best time is about half past twelve in the evening. The place does not really get started before 01+ but if there is one really pretty girl you fancy it is a bummer to see her drinking all night with some dude that beat you by five minutes!
For some reason the last few weeks even Sundays have been good, and now at the end of the month lots of girls need theyr rent and many local guys can't afford to go out.
Me when I see a girl I like I buy her a drink, and talk and see if we hit it off. Most of the girls there are not clock-watchers; I do not think I have had one that is it yet. Some of them have kids and need to get home to their babysitter at some stage, other live far from Recoletta (some of them literally hours away) and has arranged for somebody to drive them home at a certain time. There were a few decent looking women in there. The fucking nasty ass horse face is still there, she has to be 50 by now. There was no exit drink strategy, you just don't have to. I did buy the chica a beer though while we talked. I have been in there the past three nights in a row and I have seen different faces every night. A beer is 60 pesos, what I drink is 90.
I pulled a Brazilian that looks like Uma Thurman in pulp fiction (one of my favorite movies). I could eat my breakfast off her body everyday, outmotherfuckingstanding! I try to do new clubs, see what is there and I do find other clubs that are good. I do enjoy Hook Nuevo and even Brut. Madehos I like, but the prices there start to get ridicules, they are pricing themselves to ruin in my humble opinion.
Lots of pretty girls in all the mentioned places but for me New Port always works out best.
The reason are simply because the girls there are not working there like in a factory where they have to show up at specific days and times, like all the clubs.
I find the girls there a lot more accommodating, fun and frankly have much better sex with them.
I had several that I have had out for dinner, gone to regular bars with and even spent lazy days and evening at their place eating homemade dinner. I have not managed to get that connection with girls on any of the other clubs.

I never had any issue with taking chicas to places other than telos. Though often I would take them to the one on the other side of the cemetery. As far as sub standard performance I was always explicit before leaving AND I expressly told them they would be paid after. If they balked at any of my requirements I never left with them. I also found that waiting until I saw someone I like waste a shitload of time talking with some boludo without making a deal could be turned to my advantage. I would ask them if they wanted to talk for another hour or get the hell out and make some money because I respected her time and didn't want to waste it. When they said they did, then I would graphically and clearly state my desires and ask if they were ok with it. If so out we went. Never talk exact time as in just 1 hour unless they specifically ask. Have them over at 10 pm and most likely they won't be that motivated to leave your place till close to midnight so you'll get a nice relaxed session. If they want to treat you like taxi (exact to the minute timing) then pass. A smart Chica will jump at 500 pesos for a couple of hours before she would head to Newport anyway. At the club some are concerned about holding to gringo pricing. Off the clock a good Newport Chica will end up being quite reasonable. I hesitate to post my thoughts on newport, as I am still in BsAs, but I'll be leaving soon, and maybe if this place gets a bit more business it'll attract more of the right kind of chicas.
I've been coming to BsAs since 2004. Used to stick my head in the door at newport every once in a while before heading to Madahos, which was fabulous (in those days, not now).
At Newport I could never quite get over the shock of the horse faced, fat, ugly chicas waiting to jump on any poor schmuck who walked in. I never stayed more than 2 minutes. Turned tail and ran out the door every time to the sanctuary of Madahos, where the entrance was about 10 bucks, iirc, and where I once had an astonishingly hot and friendly paraguayan dancer for $100, TLN. It was a stroke of luck and timing, but I had lots of other good experiences there as well.
Since the attitude at the door at madahos now pisses me off, I tried Hippo a few times, and I have to say, the dancers are awesome (well, 5 or 6 of them are). I'll post a bit more about Hippo in the proper place.
So one night I was boycotting Hippo and Madahos, but Newport was the usual hell hole of ugly hags, so I stood outside deciding whether to just cut my losses and head home when I saw a hot young chica in a tight mini skirt head into newport. Confirms my opinion the best nights at NP (and other clubs?) are Sunday to Thursday. Forget weekends. Lots of chicas at NP Tuesday. About 5 or 6 acceptable. The hottest one, paraguaya named Barbie asked me to buy her a drink within 10 seconds of me saying Hello,. I said it was nice meeting you, chao. Went to NP to see if it was benefitting from the Madahos and Blacks closures, but last night it looked worse than before.
Fair number of chicas, and a couple of new faces, but nothing remarkable. I was about to settle on just a nice looking, quiet chica, but she refused to go to my place, and so I left her sitting alone not talking to anyone as she had been for the entire hour I was there.

Eventually I suggested we go and sit down away from the crowd, near where I'd seen a couple of human looking chicas just having a quiet drink and not hassling anyone. I Sat. With my back to the crowd, trying to avoid any sort of eye-contact with the vultures, not that it stopped them coming over!
So, I eventually made eye-contact with the humans and invited one of them over. She was as pleasant to speak to as she was to look at. Mariana, 24, tiny, looked every inch the college girl. Some of the ladies were very pushy and intrusive not waiting for any eye contact or other non- verbal communication. I was shocked at the price for the draft beer at 65 or 70 pesos.
DavieW has a good eye and did scope out the best in the house on Saturday. I did see about 5 or 6 reasonably attractive women but nothing extraordinary. On the way out of the bar I did meet briefly DavieW's girl's partner. She was young and attractive as well. But, I passed and went home albeit alone. For once I exercised some good judgment. My opinion about Newport has always been that it is a place of opportunity. You never know what you will find on any given evening. Sometimes you can find a gem, especially towards the end of the month when the rent is due.
You may have done them a favor, but in doing so, you screwed your fellow mongers. If you had convinced them to work at NP, you would have been hailed as a hero by all sides. No entrance fee, no special price for girls' drink or requirement to buy drinks to take girls out.
Still my favorite in town but after Madahos closed many of the girls that used to work there (and a few from Black) have made Newport their home base.

So I made it into Newport last night and had mixed feelings about the place. From a quick glance outside it appeared it was going to be a fancy looking bar but that quickly changed when I went inside.
Agree with earlier post about the beer. It's like a watered down beer. Price was 75/85 for a 285 ml. Can get a 1 ltr jug for 285 which was the better value and the girls can share (I assume) with you. And champaign for 100. I believe bar takes $USD.

Many successful ventures here if selective and never more than 800/ h 1200 tln (my usual). I have had a few want to become Novia and clean apartment, bring groceries, and one cooked gourmet meal and ironed clothes while I sleeping. She didn't ask for anything but was very surprised by the tip she got; which I guess is the only time "cost" was well over 1200 pesos. There are some gems here but far and few between. Some have been at Newport for years.

Curious.Those of us who live here get to interact a bit more with the locals and at least for me just find locals who need a little extra money. My favorite boliche was closed by the Prefectura about four years ago and since then most of the others near by have been closed or become outrageously expensive (at least for this area). I have two steadys, non pro who take very good care of me. Including hotels I spend around 5.000 p a month for "unlimited access" and both are up to anything I have been able to dream up so far. Granted the thrill of a night out on the prowl is gone. But at the same time I have what I want, when I want it, no hassles. Every year or two I change one or both of the girls. My experience s at Newport, prices have gone up from my last trip six months ago. Girls are asking for 1500 an hour. It is almost like they have become unionized, any girl who will take less the other girls will attack. That being said, you can get at least an 8 for 1000. If you go for multiple hours you can get a lower price. I like 2-3 hours minimum. Took a great looking girl and dynamo in bed for 3 hours 2000. Dropped by New Port with one of my regulars after dinner and I have to admit I have never seen so many chicas in that place at one time. But if you stick to your guns and wait them out. You can get them for 2000 probably.
You just have to be willing to go home empty handed. The couple girls I spoke with that quoted me 2000, I just gave them a look like " boluda anda ". And they usually laugh and say ok 1500. Within 1 minute.

They weren't all over me like at Centaurus in Rio, for example, where you can't get a moment of peace. So, the vibe was right to just kind of kick back and get a lay of the land.
Most girls started off (as noted in other posts) at $300 USD, which was a non-starter for me. In all of these cases, I smiled and told them I never pay above $100 (which is BS, of course, as I used to pay Mia Johnson $200 without blinking an eye. On the other hand, I was guaranteed a kick-ass experience). In some cases, before I came back with the $100, they asked what I was willing to pay. I was there last night.
Between 0030 ~ 0130.
The place was quite dead . Quite typical of a Saturday night.

Walked around and ended up at the Silver Bullet about 12:30 and found there were several chicas hanging out there and discretely trying to do business. Also saw chicas from New Port slowly walking up and down the street toward Madaho and around the corner then back. Hung out from about 11:30 to 12:30 at the Library Bar and found contrary to rumors I heard there are no high end hookers there. Went in twice Friday Night at about 11:30 pm and again at 12:30 am. Lots of girls, maybe 25, some cute. Most were dolled up to the max. All I saw looked like hardened pros. Lots of silicone. Just returned to BA after a year, and went by New Port. It was definitely open. I spoke to one of the waiters and he said it had been closed for two weeks (as indicated in the previous posts), and re-opened two nights ago.

Alas, it was something else. FWIW, the last thing I want is something to put me to sleep. Even when I was on ADHD meds (getting a solid 3-4 hours of sleep a night), the last thing I wanted was sleep. I can sleep standing up. So, sleep isn't my problem.

Yes Newport is Open....I have visited Newport for 3 or the last 4 nights.....Firstly I should say that I visit this Bar before most others as it is only 7 blocks away from where I stay not becuse it is my favorite place. The new formatt seems to be have fewer girls in the place to make it look less like a hooker bar. Also now the girls are expected to buy 1 drink per night as a sort of seat rental arangement.
