This is a upscale buffet restaurant located next to the Cinemark in Puerto Madero.

I have been on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. There are linen table clothes and the service is very good. They have a respectable wine list as well.

The meats are cooked on a pararilla if you wish and you can try a number of different items. The have a sushi chef and I have always found it to be fresh and well prepared.

The usually have a couple of "prepared as you wait" specialy items, which include a fish dish or something a little more exotic than your average pararilla.

There is a pizza and pasta bar also.

The salads are fresh and numerous varities as they have a well stocked cheese and meat bar as well.

If after all of that you still have room for more (and I suggest you save a bit) the desert bar is extraordinary, with many great items and helado flavors as well.

This may not be the most romantic place (but my novia enjoys it) but it is a great place to eat a variety of quality food well prepared at a reasonable price, about $25 ARP per person excluding drinks!

Plus they have a few cute waitresses as well!

I don't know if they take reservations for small groups, but on the weekends it is pretty crowded. They do serve lunch until 4:00 as well.

Enjoy!

I went on Monday on a recommendation of Seismo. Address is 1942, and is the same building as the Cinemark cinema (fairly near the casino) Dinner weekend pricing is 32 or 36p.

Quality was quite nice, service was fairly attentive. They do have a non-smoking section, which was lightly filled.

Nice selection of items, and their cook to order stations were nice. No drinks included, which added $4p per soft drink or water. Nice setting, with a river view from the back if you want it.

Meat was decent, but not outstanding. Not as flavorful as I'm used to getting in BA, but since it's a buffet, I can't expect too much, eh?

I took some pictures and will post them when I can upload them and edit them on my laptop.

Here are some pics of the different stations of this restaurant. It's the second best buffet I've eaten at in BA. (Marini's is #1)

Again, it's a nice location on the river. The lunch price at $21p is very good, and the service, quality and presentation is excellent.

One thing that was very nice here (I ate here again this week) was they have a well defined and large non smoking section. Nothing worse than having a great meal, and having to put up with cigar or cigarette smoke.

Exellent high end buffet churasco in madero. Whatever it is that you eat they got it. A true 5 star buffet to international standards.50p for dinner? Exellent value. After 2 weeks in ba if I'm gonna have a salad +entre in any decent rest you pay that much. The bbq assortment and meat quality is ultra high.

Funny I'm looking at the prices posted 2 years ago. Looks like every thing is been up 50%+ in pesos and theyre keeping the peso artificialy sitting at 3.

Fuckin argentina. I tell you boys every one inthis world gets what he deserves. What happened here in 01(history tends to repeat itself)

Sorry Charlie, but the ONLY all you can eat in BA that is really good is the Sunday Brunch at La Maison (Mansion?) attached to the Four Season's Hotel!

Awesome! Mimosas, Bellinis and filet mignon! Etc, etc, etc.

Very nice place but not 52 pesos!

Great place to take a date.

Best I've had. Call for reservations and pricing if you'd like.

Take Care,

Ramiro

As part of my package tour we were brought to this restaurant to have lunch. Variety of food was good enough as they have meat, pastas, pizza, salad bar to satisfy everyone's cravings. But what impressed me was the presence of shrimps. My friends told me that you won't find them in Buenos Aires but to my surprise they have them at this restaurant. The size is not as big as we're used to in the bay area but they were adequate.

One drawback is the queue. If you can eat here before 1PM the better for you because the groups come in at 2PM thus congesting the whole place.

Gourmet Porteno / A. M. De Justo 1942

Now 44pesos for weekday lunch.

This buffet equals or surpasses both the Mirage and Wynn in Las Vegas.

I got my moneys worth!

Just had lunch at Gourmet Porteno.

44 pesos and the food was outstanding. The service left a lot to be desired starting with the hostess who made a french pfffft sound as I walked in, to the servers and chefs who looked put out when they dealt with me.

In their defense I was not in a business suit as most of the clientele was, but had on nice jeans and a collared long sleeve dress shirt.

I'm used to Rio de Janerio where tips are minimal, is it the same over here?

Does anybody know how much dinner is? We went to La Bisteca which is right next to the theatres so it must be near Gourmet Porteno. La Bisteca was very crowded when we got there and the line didn't disappear until 1130pm that night. Quality and choices were very good for about 60 pesos.

When I went, the dinner was always at least 50% more than the lunch. I haven't been since last year. I usually tended to go early, but stay for a couple of hours. I never saw horrible crowds or anything.

It was quite good, but I still think I enjoyed the Wynn's buffet more.

I didn't see any prices listed, but here is the website:
