I did this recently and paid $100 US per night. This was a girl who normally charges $150 pesos per hour.
I've done this a number of times and I'll offer the following advice off the top of my head. Make sure you are specific about the rate being per day or, and better in my opinion, per night. If you leave on Monday and return on Thursday that is clearly three nights. But it could be argued that it is four days. (Twice I met a girl from Argentina in Mexico. I spent a week in BA and tried to explore one angle or another every day. I kept going back to Area-VIP because the site has a manageable number of women and they tend to look pretty good. Shia told me that the owner of the site is a professional photographer, that he takes the photos, and that he is somewhat discriminating in who he will take as an advertiser. If I remember correctly, she said he was charging her AR$1,500 a month.

I went to her place with the idea that if it was really top, top shelf then I would go for it. But neither her place nor her own appearance would justify such a high premium. Her apartment smelled of smoke and she had some soap opera on the tv when I showed up. The setup was not any sort of high class deal that would justify the big number. So, not liking anything about the situation, I left immediately.

The one thing I did not try was direct marketing at Exedra or Orleans. I never went to Exedra late enough so I didn't see anyone there who looked like a working girl. But the place is small, packed with tables and was for me a little claustrophobic. Plus, I was not completely comfortable with shopping in the open. If I come back, I will probably give it a try.

If you are coming in for a short time and don't speak Spanish, I would definitely recommend that you use an intermediary. Even if you know some Spanish, the local pronunciation can be hard to understand and navigating the whole process of calling or showing up at the buzzer of a privado would be a pain in the ass.
I don't think it is practical to bargain hunt the way the full-time residents who post on this board do. But in my observation, AR$200 was sufficient to get a hot body in a reasonably clean joint. I think the US$200 prices are ridiculous and no one should pay them. The absolute outside maximum you could justify would be $AR300. And, when you think about it, that is a huge bargain in relation to what you would have to pay in New York or London. I also would not go below AR$150. The one place I checked out that was lower than that, was way too shabby.
I definitely recommend the city and its working girls. I am really grateful for this board which was also useful for things other than just finding women. And I hope to be back before too long.

As a photographer I must tell you that what you see in Area Vip pictures, which are taken and retouched by the site's owner, are great work of art (and retouching) In other words, the pictures on the site are a great deal prettier and sexier (in the vast majority of the cases) than the lady itself.
2. Are-Vip charges the ladies a bunch more than Platynum and the other sites, so it is used by ladies that charge a premium. Some time the same lady will have her pictures on other sites (at the same time but under a different name) and will charge you less if you call from the cheaper site.

Then comes the problem of the neighbors and the doorman, single lady might not have any idea how to deal with them. As a result, not too many chicas have the spirit, or the know how to do it alone.
