As Australia starts tomorrow (Qualifying) who will be the winner this year when all is said and done this year.

I say that the way it will end is:

1. Kimi.

2. Lewis.

3. Robert Kubica.

What do you say World Traveller?

Best Regards.

I think that nobody can give a serious predicton other then that there will be the 3 big teams up front.

I need to get into the F1 again, it's a brilliant sport

As an offshoot to this topic. Do you know the Paris to Dakar rally has been switched to Argentina. Due to terrorism concerns?

Race will be January 2-19, 2009

The race tonight could be very different. But Hamilton and his car look strong.

It was bad luck for Kimi, not getting back the pit area, missing it only by a few feet.

What a race. 22 cars started, only 6 finished. Accidents and engine failure and one disqualification, knocked out the rest. The seventh (Sebastien Bourdais) and eighth (Kimi Räikkönen) place drivers were given points for the overall race, even though they did not finish.

1 22 Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes.

2 3 Nick Heidfeld BMW.

3 7 Nico Rosberg Williams-Toyota.

4 5 Fernando Alonso Renault.

5 23 Heikki Kovalainen McLaren-Mercedes.

6 8 Kazuki Nakajima Williams-Toyota.

Next weekend Malaysia.

Quite a race. Too bad accidents and attrition led to me not being able to see some newbies, and. Sebastian Vettel in STR. Jenson in the Honda.

Too bad for Sebastisn Bourdais. Even tough I am not a champ car fan) I would like to see one succeed in F1

Too many failures in transition over the years- Michael Andretti, Jacques Villeneuve, Alex Zanardi. Etc.

Good for Nick Heidfeld and Nico Rosberg.

Best Reagards.

Montreal. Due to the horrible USD vs CDN, I have bailed on my trip today to MTL, and will watch the race with my bong at home.

Between driving, expenses (hotel and Escorts) it would have cost me around 3000-4000 pesos.

Quite a street party for days though!

I will save it for Amsterdam, FKK Germany, or BA in October.

Will McLaren come back WT?

Montreal also was not as hot / humid as the weather pros had predicted.

Not a spot of rain all during the race.

I am slipping. I forgot to post the results.

Hamilton kept screwing up, but managed to finish in 10th with no points.

Hey WT.

A side question.

What do think about the preliminary information stating that there will be no USGP next year?

Again, a total failure on the F1 community to understand that for the series to flourish, we must have a race in the USA.

I have never been to the Indy venue (nor would I ever go) and the Phoenix venue in the early 90's was a joke.

The US venue needs to meet logistical needs (hotel rooms, mass transit) that's why Indy worked. All those rooms for the Indy 500.

Thank God Montreal is close enough.

Best Regards.

Hey WT. I seemed to have dropped the ball on F1 lately.

What a great last 3 laps, with the rain shaking everything up.

Nick made quite the move, changing to intermediate tires.

They said he was 25 seconds quicker on the last lap alone.

Imagine if it had gone 1 more lap?

Best Regards.
