So I decided to stop by Sinclair the other day since I hadn't been in a while. To my Surprise, it now has a new owner and a new name: Fracesco.

At first, I thought about leaving, but the set up was the same. I arrive at the front door with my car, a valet asks for the key and hands me a ticket. There is a doorman who welcomes me in and opens the door. The host quickly ushers me to a great window side table, ahhh refreshing.

The place looks pretty much the same, though they have added some color accents that make it look a little nicer. It was pretty full on a Friday night. The service was excellent. The waiters were very knowledgeable and attentive and the food was very well done.

We had appetizers, drinks, a very nice and sweet bottle of Trapiche (Cosecha Tardia) a couple main courses and dessert. Total damage was about $ 260 ARS, add in the waiter and valet tip and it came to about $ 310 ARS, or about $ 85 USD. Well worth it IMHO.

The food is Peruvian. The restaurant is part of a chain called Francesco. They have two other restaurants in Miraflores Lima and one in Coral Gables Florida. They really tout their Zagat Guide awards, ratings and ranking.

They have been awarded the " Miami Dade Top Food Award " by Zagat Guide every year since 2004 - 2009.

I would recommend this place for those that like Peruvian food and especially Seafood. If you are on a budget, I would look elsewhere. I myself will be going back shortly.

BM.

I eat at the Coral Gables location a few times per year and had a large xmas type party there. If the same group is running the BA branch you should be in for a real treat. Great fish at reasonable prices.

Another GREAT Peruvian restaurant at Paraguay 624 (corner Florida) Pisco bar and restaurant. Best ceviche in town but also has a host of other dishes including Japanese / Peruvian fusion.

There are many good Peruvian restaurants in the city.

This thread just happens to be about Francesco.
