Jackson-

Instead of effectively banning Sidney entirely through "retirement", why don't you just curtail his posting, ala Nibu Raphael, to his actual mongering-related experiences that take place in Buenos Aires? This could include travel information, information about living in Buenos Aires, and experiences with actual chicas in Argentina. All other irrelevant drivel that he produces about politics, economics, taxi drivers, the demise of GM, reports from other countries that Argentina mongers have no interest in, etc could be eliminated.

Suerte,

I'll be sad to see the old bird go. He was definitely a "personaje."

Speaking of, whatever happened to Dickhead?

I may start reading and posting more.

Sid's posts were mostly worthless, and yes his girls are skanks.

Thanks Jackson.

Probably half the members of this board should be retired if we're using the same criteria. However, if he asked to be removed, so be it.

Thanks Jackson.Sorry Boys, but ¨El Sid ¨ is one HELL of a nice man and someone that we should ALL look up to to and only WISH that we could be like him when we are OLDERR!

And wiser!

¨EL SID¨ has the ability to be able to FUCK 3 girls per day!

You may not be able to appreciate the ¨DOMS¨but that has nothing to do with the price of pussy in China!

I doubt that any of you boys will be able to keep up with him when your his age!

Get real!

¨El Sid¨is a Monger's God and we should ALL be unhappy to see him go!

I for one will truly miss him!

I will not lose touch with my old friend!

The other night I tried my First ¨Dom¨, and although it, or she was NOT memorable, ¨El Sid ¨ is STILL one HELL of a great guy!

So try to be civil about this whole deal my old friends!

Thanks,

TL

Mongering at Sids age I just want to live that long. So Sid wrote some articles and people didn't like them, just block him, I thought this board was free speech.

In my humble opinion Sid is an ok guy, the type of guy back in England I would go out of my way to have a beer with every now and then.

I'm one of those blokes who doesn't like his taste in women but that doesn't make him a bad guy in my book.

Sid come back under a new name, by your style of posting we will all know it's you, I'll miss your postings Sid

Hopefully both El Jefie and Sidney will both "Eat Crow"

And Sidney will return as "Pappa Benito", his real name, and we can call him "Bennie"

I immediately liked sid when I met him. He has a great sense of humor and a kind heart.

It is obvious that he is vocal about his opinions but it doesn't bother me. I don't keep up with the political threads much but I do appreciate when he posts in the "jokes" thread.

"Some like it raw some like it tender I like my meat with color not mixed up in a blender! " Artisttyp 2010

Can't go wrong with dark meat. I'm down with the brown myself!

You can't knock a guy for what he gets off on (pro buttlicker here)

I wouldn't want to deny anybody the freedom to express themselves.

Sid is one of those unique guys. You either like the type or you don't. I like the type. It would be a shame to see him go.

We all dance to a different drummer on this forum and probably cannot agree on much of anything. Shall miss you Sid. Hope all can be resolved. Take care.

Damman,

Sidney was not banned, he resigned in a publicly-posted announcement, and thus there is nothing to "be resolved".

Thanks,

Jackson

I personally like Sid. I have had dinner with him a few times, when I was in BA, and he was a very nice guy. It's amazing he can have 3 girls a day six days a week at his age. Of course he pops Viagra like it was candy, and buy 100 pills at a time. I don't think I can do what he does, when I get to his age or even now, for more then a week or 2 before I burn out.

I hope Jackson and Sid let this dispute blow over.

I'm not sure how this drama will play out but Sidney was unanimously voted a "Lifetime Achievment Award" from the Monger's Guide at La Madelene's last night!

Sidney is a douche.

He gets off on fucking black girls on 200+mg of viagra until they beg him to stop cause he can't finish.

Most of them are imports.

I just spent a week in Sosua and a lot of time hanging out with Sydney. In fact, he was the person who convinced me to go to Sosua in the first place last year. I had a yearning for a little darker skinned pussy and was checking out Ghana possibilities with some other forum members while on a visit to BsAs. He told me that there was no reason to go that far, and proceeded to tell me about the action in Sosua.

He is well liked by many of the ex-pats who live there, and is a wealth of knowledge about the town and the chicas. He gave me some good tips and actually dropped me off at the airport. This was the same day that Jackson banned him. He was very, very upset. I had the feeling that posting was one of his pleasures in life and quite important to him. I hope that Jackson reconsiders. As others have said, if some didn't like his posts, they could just hit the ignore button.

There's nothing to reconsider on my part, as there was no decision on my part.

I have the strangest feeling that if mr syd sent a simple note to the admin requesting reinstatement, this would all be past history if and only if syd is willing to sent the pm.

Syd I love you, but you are an ornery stubborn man who is not right 100% of the time. Jackson is actually moderating most of three major websites himself--he is not perfect nor is he fighting with syd.

Let's all move foward--syd write a simple note and end thios now. I also wish that you would stop cut and pasting long reprints rather than linking a desription.

I consider both Jackson and Sidney to be friends. I also understand why Jackson pressured Sidney to post some information about Buenos Aires on the forum. I feel bad that Sidney didn't want to post more on the forum, but I also don't believe Jackson did anything wrong.

Sidney kept posting information about the DR and DR chicas, pushing the subjects often, how much better was the DR than here in many ways, etc. But I don't think I've ever seen him post a chica review on AP. Or information about what he does in general in BA - which is more than going to the Casa bar and maybe La Madelaine. Or getting screwed by taxi drivers in just about every encounter he's ever had with a taxi. Aside from very brief and usually cryptic posts or copy-and-paste pass-ons related to politics and economics here and in the US.

Some of that was interesting (and some, as we used to call him on many times, was absolute bunk) but he wasn't doing much to help users of the forum with information about living in and chasing chicas in Buenos Aires.

If Sidney chose to "retire" from the forum, Jackson is just complying with Sidney's wishes. Maybe he got squeezed out, in reality, but he wasn't innocent and didn't seem willing to change - particularly considering that Jackson had to keep formatting Sidney's posts when he didn't quote them correctly and such. Jackson chose not to continue to let Sidney get away with what he'd asked him to change and tolerated for quite awhile.

He was just putting his foot down, and why not? I'd want to guard my investment in time and pain too. The forums that Jackson runs are actually worth something and Jackson knows it and wants to keep it that way.

Publicly posted, but taken down quickly. I certainly never saw it. Why not just leave his original post up, so it's easier for the members to decide why he decided to retire.

=================================================

Jaimito,

I never give soon-to-be ex-members the satisfaction of posting their final "kiss-off" messages as they are invariably nothing more than a big middle index finger directed towards me and/or the forum membership in general.

In addition, given that the forum has a long-standing policy regarding handling "protest resignations" that is automatically invoked in these situations, there is nothing for the "members to decide".

Thanks,

Jackson

I met "Sidney" the first day of my first trip to Argentina at the ISG / AP 2007 Thanksgiving Party in Buenos Aires. That evening and during my stay in Buenos Aires, I had wonderful time swapping stories with him and learning about the city. Although, Sidney is a bit nuts, he's a special guy and I was very lucky to have met him.

Cheers!

JacksonI understand a lot of this, but it would certainly make for interesting reading, and those who say you just axed him because you wanted to, could see the real message. It's your board, and you can certainly do what you want, but sometimes actions like these just turn the departed into a Martyr or spur the conspiracy theorists.

Jaimito, I recall the two responses Sidney posted in the DR thread that everyone is referring to and honestly, they aren't worth reprinting, and contain nothing incendiary. Sid was being asked to put up photos or shut up to which he said after 3 thousand and some posts, over and out. Something tells me this will all play out with a little down time culminating with Sid's return but for now this remains much ado about very little.
