I'd like to upgrade to a fancier phone but have hesitated due to the ~100% markup here in Argentina compared to the States.

Some have suggested Paruguay is a cheaper source. I have never been to Iguazu, so I was thinking of going there and making an afternoon trip across the border.

I've gathered from the web that the electronics prices are cheaper than Argentina but still more expensive than the States. Any experiences with this?

Another post on the web said if you crossed the border bridge on foot you didn't go through customs.

I'm interested in a Blackberry Storm II, in case anyone can pick one up for me in the States.

From what I have read online Ciudad del Este is the place for electronics. Also for human trafficking.
