I want to be able to use my Iphone in a wifi hotspot outside of my apartment for making calls with Skype. How popular are the hotspots around Recoleta Cemetery? Are there a couple of convenient popular spots I can use?

Thanks

ThanksThere's couple I see but pretty slow so don't use them. Not far from the cemetery though is patio Bullrich mall and they have free wifi that is pretty decent speed. I camp out for an afternoon coffee there because of the convenient wifi and comfy sofa chairs all around (2nd floor of PB mall near the food area end of wing)

Was surprised to get a super strong, very fast signal at Hook. No password needed.

Also, La Lorenzo next door to New Port has fairly reliable signal that most nights reaches the bar area in New Port.

Taco Box, had 12 mbps down and 1. 5 up today at 1600, not that isn't a typo nor a missing period. 12 mbps down. Good, not great, but good mexican food and fast, fast wifi.

Also very good coverage at Starbucks on Pueyrredon between Juncal and French, but seat opposite the counter, not by the windows

I will be in the Recoleta area soon and I wonder if there is convenient public WiFi available to use my Skype when I am out of my apt.

Thanks.

Wi-fi, even internet connection in general, has been pretty crappy ever since I've been here (6 years). But.....I've noticed a real ramp-up in performance and wi-fi access over the last 6 months or so. I don't know specific locations in Recoleta, but more and more cafes and restaurants have wi-fi that actually works these days.

This is widely available in many cafes and restaurants, and it works well even in case of video downloading.

In Recoleta just try inside the Recoleta Shopping Mall, I think that's the name of the shopping center at the side of the cemetery.

Now it is also available free in the new Ezeiza terminal C.

Really?

Ha, ha! That's actually quite amusing! It's not the only thing blocked there. While I certainly don't think there is anything wrong with "the hobby" by no stretch of the imagination does it qualify as wholesome family entertainment.

I stayed at a hotel here that had a computer in the dining room and this one guy used to sit at it every morning looking at porn. He angled the screen so that it was a bit obscured but everybody knew what he was doing. If they didn't block adult sites there would be a bunch of assholes doing the same at the table next to you and your kid while he was having his happy meal.
