Hello All.

I have just by sheer chance come across this very interesting and informative forum It is Big I will need a day or two to explore I think.

I will be in Buenos Aries early in the new year as my daughter is marrying a local Sorry you will have another Aussie in Argentina My query is.

I have looked at many escort web sites and none seem to advertise a donation for service on their profile is this a common practise ?

It is a rare occurance on sites here in Western Australia.

Or am I a typical newbie and just looking in the wrong places Oh one last thing I did see one ad which stated dollars Please dont tell me the US $ is king.

Thanks for any help And I look forward to a long and enjoyable and interesting time on your forum.

H2.

H2.Q1.I have looked at many escort web sites and none seem to advertise a donation for service on their profile is this a common practise ?

A1, yes this is common practise ...it all depends on your negotiation skills and your spanish and in your case the lack of it?

Most for these girls work in the bars in the night in Recoleta ...so it is always better to negotiate in person.

But with an escort you could count on $USd100 per hour for the top shelf (9/10) and say $70/hour for the middle shelf ( 6-8/10).

Q2 Please dont tell me the US $ is king.

A2, In an economy that is devaluing at 30% per annum compared to greenback...yep dollar is king....

They will certainly take local currency but some like the old greenback.

Make use your american money is in 100s or 50s and is new or near perfect condition and you wont have a problem changing it here.

The boys on this site will let you know where to get the best rate with no counterfeits that is very common here so be carefull.

Thank you Sly one.

As to the question of the US$ I was actually wondering if the peso was signified with a Dollar symbol rather than a symbol for the peso?

As the one ad I did see with a price was $600 A rather special lady methinks if US dollars.

The $ symbol is used for both dollars and pesos. Your 600 will be pesos. Sometimes you will see "USD" and "ARS" used to denote dollars and pesos. ARS is the ticker symbol for Argentine pesos.

H2.Argies almost never post prices. If you were to look in the classified ads for cars for example, only one in ten or one in twenty will post you a price. They want you to call and then (in my opinion) feel you out and see how much they can rob you for. Or they will say, 30k down and payments of XXX monthly. Never telling you how many payments. Its all part of a game they play. Once they find out you're a foreigner the price goes up. You will also notice that a lot of stores do not put prices on items they have on display, forcing you to ask them so that they can start their sales pitch. This despite a law here that says all items must be clearly marked as to price, quantity, etc. It is very frustrating to say the least.
