Your right. Purchasing a calling card would have been the easiest thing to do. I think I had the same problem my first time I rented an apartment in BA. The ability to call cell phones was somehow disabled. I still had a hard time figuring out how to use those calling cards. I found the locutorios are the easiest way to call the cell phones. Sometimes, the girls will not come to your place if the number you called from is different from the number of your actual phone at the apartment. It's really hard to get a hold of the independent escorts.
