Mongers,
Tonight, starting at midnight, El Alamo will be showing the return of Miguel Cotto (returning from a horrific beating at the hands of Antonio Margarito) against Michael Jennings and Middleweight Champion Kelly Pavlik (returning from a beatdown against Bernard Hopkins at light heavyweight) against Marco Rubio. There will be smoking and non-smoking areas available.
Suerte,
Rock Harders
I think I might join you guys if you are really going as coming from out of town and would like to know some friendly fFaces might will be there as it would be my first time going to el alamo.
Are you guys showing the Evans Vs Machida fight tonight?
Regards,
BM
Is the USA - Brasil game on?
Mongers,
El Alamo will be showing the UFC 100 event tonight beginning at 11pm.
Suerte,
Rock Harders
Glad to see you've finally " peeped game " RH.
I've been asking for this for months.
If you're showing the Affliction 3 event (Fedor Emilianenko vs Josh Barnett) on August 1st I will most definitely be there.
MMA, it's the future.

Hi Sid,
I watched it at home. If I would have known sooner, I would have made plans to watch it with you guys. I've been training in martial arts since I was a child, so I know MMA quite well. It's nice to know we have a sports bar in town that's up on the current fight scene. I will be joining you guys for the next one. You can count on it.
Main event results:
Lesnar KO Mir (not what I expected but that disgraceful brute wouldn't be denied. His days are numbered though. Fedor is coming to the UFC)
Hendo KO Bisping (I know all the Brits in the bar shed a tear over that one, but big mouth had it coming " Falcon Punch " lol)
GSP Decision Alves (fought a safe and boring fight, too bad)
Next great cards for the year are:
Affliction 3 August 1st (Fedor Emilianenko Vs Josh Barnett for the WAMMA HW title)
UFC 104 October 24 (Machida Vs Shogun for the UFC LHW title + Carwin Vs Velasquez for a UFC HW title shot against Lesnar)
Regards,
BM.
Thanks again Rock, for this event! It was even better because a friend, Abel, a fighter himself, explained to us, all about the fighters and the sport!
What are the opening hours at El Alamo? In August I saw a notice saying open from 4 pm but their website indicates open for breakfast.
Mongers,
El Alamo's opening hours are currently:
4pm-4am Monday to Thursday.
12pm-4am Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Speaking of El Alamo:
Anyone know how to get in touch with Ricardo? I told him I'd hit him up for a beer at El Alamo the next time I'm in town. Turns out I'm going to be there in a few weeks. Now that he's persona non grata aqui, does anyone have an e-mail address for him? Send me a PM if you do, and thanks in advance.

Ricardo is not "persona non grata aqui". He just needs to post about something besides politics, which I suspect he can't actually do because he's actually a professional political propagandist who is participating in a coordinated scheme in which he and others are organized and encouraged to go out into the blogosphere and influence the political thinking of otherwise unsuspecting forum and blog participants by posting professionally written "mini essays" which they are provided for just such a purpose.
These political operatives are also provided with professionally written jokes which they may post to camouflage their primary agenda.
In other words, he embodies the definition of a Political Serial Antagonist.
Thanks,
Jackson[/blue]

Jackson
I have my doubts about whether he's a "professional political operative," but I do understand that maintaining decorum on a website like this must be a difficult and, undoubtedly, thankless task. My conjecture would be that he's just a smart guy from the opposite end of the political spectrum. As I understand it, he's met up with a few of the regulars here at one or two local haunts, Sid included. That doesn't mean he's not an "operative," but it does suggest that he's not just a faceless propogandist.
At any rate, I thought he was banished because all of the PMs he sent me (some of which I hadn't read) disappeared a few weeks ago. If that's not accurate, then I apologize for the "non grata" stuff. Since I don't run the website -- and therefore don't have to spend a good chunk of my day cleaning it up -- it wasn't my intention to comment on whether or not it was the right thing to do.
