A thought..Monica kicks ass.

I was being bothered by 3 Dominicans who were trying to split me from the girl I was speaking with. They in Spanish were basically telling her that I was theirs for reasons I can't figure out even now. The girl I was "talking" with was discussing it and holding her own but trying to be civil; not something the others seemed to care about. I simply looked at Monica, pointed at the three girls, and waived my hand like shoo fly. She instantly walked over, filled 4 oz of whiskey and in literally one sentence to the Dominicans sent them scattering like roaches when the light is turned on. I don't know the arrangement at Hook but it is clear that Monica falls in the chain somewhere below the manager (a nice guy to me) but far above the bouncer, the door dude, and certainly far above the dancers and other women. I think she should get her own blog on here.

TL is right when he says the clubs are absolutely dead on Saturday nights but I think there is a an advantage in going to one. I walked into Hook last night at 12:30 AM and there was one other guy that I saw. So basically just about everyone of the hottest girls in the club was unoccupied. If you walked in then you had your absolute pick. It was true that several of hottest girls were not there.

I think I need a definition here to explain what I am talking about. For me, a "hot" girl at Hook is any girl where I would have no qualms taking out within 5 minutes paying the 400 pesos in drinks (150 + 250 pesos) and 1000 pesos for the hour without knowing anything personality. As Bob Dylan might sing, "I just want to see if it really is the expensive kind." Probably about 10 Hook girls fit into the "hot" category for me. I would take any Hook girl out at a 500 peso privado price. So that is my measuring stick.

So my advice is to go solo on a slow night like a Saturday night. It was really how I met my current favorite.

Another caveat is that rookies should be careful. I have been solo to clubs all over the globe so I do have experience. I have gotten rolled a couple of times including one night when I lost about $800 in 20 minutes in Shanghai. Rookies should carefully read Jackson's boards. I do not recall any negative scams at Hook.

Alexia is a dancer with long brunette hair down to her butt. She dances a kind of salsa move and I like the way she moves her hips. 27 years old but no children. I have been to BA a few times and done most of the clubs in the area. In my opinion Hook has the best looking girls. Prices seem to be 1,000 peso per hour + drink yours and hers another 400. Last night I found out they have new policy chica can not talk price with you until you buy her a drink. I refused to do this with one chica, she got angry with me. Was that some kind of special cocktail? I was just there in May and it was 250 P.

Hook is closed on Sunday. All day and night.

It's open Monday thru Saturday from about 10 pm until 5 am but most of the girls don't arrive until 12:30 am.

1 am being an excellent time to arrive and Wed or Thursday being the best nights.

IMO a visit to BA will not be complete without them. And even if you have other plans in the evening, they are usually a reliable back-up if your original plans go south.

I think Hook is closed on Sundays but Cattos is open. While they both open earlier, the best chica selection will always be after 11 pm.

You can hang out at Exedra while waiting for 11 pm to come around. It is two blocks away. You might spot a backup chica here just in case the clubs don't work out (but usually these clubs have something good).

I took Esten's advice below and went to Hook every night.

This is my third time visiting BA. I am an avid monger but rarely get to Argentina. (sad). When I do, it is a pleasurable solo week.

Hook did not disappoint. This is a small club so even though there are only 15 girls, it feels like the place is packed. The quality is more than good. Much better than Black. I went there every night and pulled a girl every night.

Drinks are 200 peso and chic drinks are 250. You need to buy one chica drink per hour of exit time. For example, if you want to take the girl out for two hours, you buy two drinks. That is like the house fee. Details on the girls are coming up but I would like one thing clarified. I understood the bartender to say that one chic drink is good enough for any chic but I think I misunderstood him with the loud background. I bought a drink for a girl but I decided not to take her. I invited another girl to discuss take out fees and she insisted that I need to buy her another drink if I wanted to take her.

If you buy a chica a drink and she does not go out she gets 50% of the drink revenue. Her drink not yours. If she does go out, the bar keeps the entire chica drink revenue. Therefore yes you will have to buy a drink for any chica you exit with.
