I think business is slow and competition will make the house directive difficult to enforce.

I've really tried to give this place every benefit of the doubt. It has such a lofty reputation. But, I've gone back three separate times on three different trips over the past year. On the first occasion, I found a decent (not stunning) chica but never got past the initial phase of negotiation. I said: 'You get paid at the end.' She insisted on getting paid up front. That wasn't going to happen, so I moved on and eventually left.

The second trip, I also got the fresh meat feeling. Normally, I would think this would be a dream come true but it's somehow uncomfortable. In my experience, it is very much like the boliche's in Brazil, where they can't sit and talk to you until you invite them over. As a consequence, they stare at you intently to try to get that invite. Until you get used to this, it's disconcerting. I spent an hour at Black like this and then left.

This last trip, I simply didn't see anything worth taking out. I would agree with another post earlier that stated that the chicas at Black tend to dress better than at most of the other boliches. But, if you look closely at most of the chicas (past the war paint and the tribal garb) they're not of the caliber you'd expect if you're going to have to part with $200 - $300. On my last trip, there were probably 100 girls and a 5-1 ratio, but there was nothing that sparked much interest. I'm a little picky, but not overly so.

As a consequence, I won't patronize the place again -- not because of prices but because the place lacks quality. Other mongers surely will disagree but, in terms of quality chicas, I've had much better luck at Madaho's and even La Lopez this past trip (August) I know these aren't the most popular places on this board, but if you're looking for a wide array of top caliber girls and don't mind the prices, I think they're both better than Black.

I have yet to step foot in Black. After all this discussion, I want to see it for myself next week. It will probably be my first and last visit. What would be a good day of the week to visit this place?

I concur with BM that Tuesday through Thursday are the best mongering nights at Black (and essentially all Buenos Aires hooker bars) as there are the most chicas available and all the top talent are always on duty those days. However, at Black there should be talent on Friday and Saturday nights as well, because per house rules the chicas must work at least 5 nights per week. As for pricing, you will now have to pay $180 AR in chicas drinks plus the $70 AR mandatory monger's drink in order to get one of the chicas out the door (although the chicas do not have to return, so TLN a possibility) So you are looking at at least $250 AR in fees before the agreed upon chica compensation. A solid stategy to keep pricing from reaching the stratosphere is to open negotiations with the price you are willing to pay. The chica will always try to push for at least $200 USD (more if you let her throw her price out first) but with insisting you can get her down to $150 USD ($450 AR) Market conditions in Black are always in favor of the Mongers and believe me there are plenty of chicas who will go for even less than that, but NEVER for anything less than $100 USD or $300 AR. I was in here with Erkinator recently and he is no prince charming, and he was able to get the girl to go for $450 AR.

Talent can be spotty, my best AND worst experiance came from this place.

As far as the staring though, I wish more clubs adopted this policy. Have a drink at Black then go to Solid Gold then tell me which you prefer. Cattos is ok as it's usually the odd request but some of the other clubs with their steady stream of "buy me a drinks" or in the case of Solid Gold the non stop assault go far beyond nuisance. We have hit most clubs and find Black to be the best. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Yes, depending on what you are looking for. I have pulled at least thirty chicas out of here in the last decade and none have disappointed. I never measured any of these experiences based on what I paid and frankly can't remember anyway after the flight home. Storing memories for the Spank Bank is essentially a bonus.

Daniel appears to have complete control over the club and it seems everyone there knows what is expected. We have tried Madahos, Shampoo and some others, but we always return to Black because it is more comfortable and friendly. Daniel caters to a customer base that enjoys a certain experience and he knows exactly what he is doing. That is why we return every year and will continue.

If Walt Disney was a monger and were to open an Adult Themed Club, it would be like Black. While some like the tea cup ride at the fair, I prefer the Matterhorn and will pay for it.

I was at Black last month, with a friend, and when we left, the door man asked if we wanted a taxi. I said "Sure" thinking he was just going to hail a regular taxi for us. He claps his hand and this old man from down the street ran to a marked taxi and pulled up to pick us up. I had him take us to Rio Cabana. Half way on the trip I noticed the meter was not running. When I pointed it out to him he tried to reassure me it was ok and I would only have to pay a flat fee. When I asked what the flat fee was he said it was $30 AR. I knew this shouldn't be more than $14 to $17 AR for this journey and I began to make a scene in the cab. Even my buddy, who doesn't speak Spanish, understood what was going on and started interjecting. I told the taxi driver this was bullshit and this was way too much. I told him I did not like this game and he should've made this clear when we left Black. I told him to just drop us off on the street and he did. He left without trying to collect a dime. I wouldn't have given him a dime and had he pushed the issue I would have told him to call the police. I knew I was right and he knew he was wrong which was why I think he left so quickly. If you know you're right, stand your ground. Whether it's with a taxi driver or a *****. STAND YOUR GROUND!

Stopped in here Friday night. Intention was just a warm up visit before heading to another club, unless I found a good deal.

Entry fee was 80 pesos which included one drink. When I walked in around 12:30am I was impressed, the selection and quality was as high as I've ever seen it. Over the years I've seen it go up and down, moreso trending down. This night it was way up. About 100 chicas, a few 7s, most 8s and several 9s. And about 25 guys or a 4:1 ratio. I had no problem spotting a couple dozen I was interested in within the first 2 minutes.

The layout has changed just slightly, the long bar is not as long now, providing a little more floor room.

Tons of eye contact, at times too much. A few times early on, there were 5-10 girls standing nearby, all swaying a little to the music and flashing me a big smile while staring at me. They would just keep looking at you, especially if they got even a hint of a return glance of interest. Made me uncomfortable a little. Tried to tell some of them to look at the dancers, they're more interesting! Eventually they will look away and move away, but only to be replaced by different girls. After 30-45 minutes things got more normal.

Every 10 minutes or so a dancer would come over, but I quickly said no gracias before they could start dancing to avoid having to tip them. They all left with no issue, although one told me a bit coldly in english that I didn't have to say that, she was going to give me a free dance. Somehow I doubt that.

I talked with several girls. The first girl I asked about drinks seemed to indicate one drink might be possible to salir, but she can't promise because she is not authorized to give the official drink prices. I must speak with the "camarera" or whatever the hostess is called. So I did. The hostess said the cheapest chica drink was 120 pesos and you need to buy two of these to take the girl out. Holy cow batman! 240 pesos? I also confirmed there was not an intermediate option, like one 160 peso drink. Minimum was 240 pesos. A few girls I talked with later confirmed this. One asked me how much I would be willing to pay for her. I said I don't like to pay more than 500 pesos and she laughed and said oh no and went away.

Chica prices aside, on the basis of the chica drinks alone (to salir) Black has priced itself way above the competition. I mean Madahos is "only" 140 pesos. I had thought that Madahos was catching up with Black to be "the" premier upscale place to go. Looks like Black is now making a move in terms of the chica quality but also the prices to re-instate its lead in that title.

On my way out near 2am I noticed the crowd had thinned somewhat, especially the girls. I'd say there were maybe 20-30 girls less. I assume they were taken out. If they can get paying customers at those prices, good for them. Not me! The 240 pesos drink rule makes my decision here quite easy.

I'm alway's amazed that readers of this forum even go to these place's, Madaho's, Black and the like.

Expensive, shitty service, and just not worth it.

But if you must go here's what to do.

Pay the $80 peso's, thats about $24 USD Dollars for a drink, and make it last.

Then interview as many "Targets" as possible asking for their phone numbers or give out yours and quote no more than $300 peso's for daytime or early evening service.

Hello all, I am a newbie and I went to see Newports and Black with a friend a wingman.

DAY / HOUR: 200am Saturday Morning.

PURPOSE: to show my friend the famous Black see some women and to test my negotiating skills. I have been to Black on my own when I first arrived I just did recon and walked out. However tonight I wanted to see what the girls fee were and what the would do.

The "mongy" for best negotiated deal at Black goes to Jimsorts. Though why their chica drinks were 1/2 the price of any other reported here for 5 years eludes me.

Maybe they had a special that night.

Jimsorts didn't close the deal, and I find his info hard to believe. Based on his account it was likely past 3am when the deal was struck, and the chicas may have been willing to go for a lower price at this late hour, but STILL... 300 pesos is seriously low for Black. And BOTH chicas agreed to it, and both offering bbbj and completo. You know the saying "if it sounds too good to be true...". One chica at Black offering this would be remarkable, let alone two. I'd say odds are good they were simply fishing for (their cut of) a second drink, and would have magically switched to "we meant 600 pesos each" when the time to leave came (or in the hotel).

The chica drink prices are the hardest part to believe.

While this is another case of no deal closed, I do know that in April, there was a quote for 350p (yes, it was pesos) at roughly 1am. Only one drink was required for exit, although I do not remember the cost.

We had gone to Black simply to try to push the lowest cost we could, and this was it. Now, in full disclosure, there were many girls who were less than amused by the chuckles their initial offers received (I believe they all started at 600p) and many simply got up and walked away.

That night we pondered what would make the cost vary so much, and believe that either a. Age and looks affect the prices that are settled upon, or be. Our aggressive low balling had set us up to be ripped off later by switching to dollars or something else.

So for what it is worth, I am convinced that it is always possible to go lower than the current norm, and sometimes it isnt enough haggling them down to what everyone else is paying. - Prices still generally lower than many other places.
- Relatively inexpensive and safe city. And for some charming as well.
