Bravo Admin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Wash Post article was real depressing but that is what the media sells in Amerika. Paranoia is second on their list of servups before the sports news.
Nobody thinks how great it is that a gal in need of money, for whatever reason, can go out and find a man to make happy, along with a good time for herself.
The Gross Domestic Product of ARG is getting a much needed injection (pun intended) of dollars and euros from these damsels of the night. This money actually finds its way to the common folk and it remains in the community. This is opposite of the 88 Billion that the IMF gave to the ARG politicos.
That money is now in some foreign bank account and no one got a job.
Thanks for putting this article up so we all can laugh at the self rightuous crap published to entertain (?) the American public.
Where can I make a contribution to the ARG SEX Worker's Union?
Jackpot
-
"I understand that to the media and much of the American public, it's simply inconceivable to portray commercial sex as empowering women and providing them with a method for accumulating capital that can improve their lives."
I agree Jackson, but can you imagine NBC, CBS, or ABC advocating for commercial sex over the airways? They'd lose the "moral majority" of their viewership and then the big executives couldn't afford their jaunts to Buenos Aires. Remember how many esteemed members of the U.S. Senate wanted Clinton crucified on the White House lawn?

Jamesbond,
Why not just stay the heck out of Blacks? I don't get it. Am I missing something here? When any legitimate business tells a customer they are a pest, they offer nothing productive to their business, their staff or their customers and never to come back. You would think any intelligent person wouldn't come back.
Maybe it's just me but you sound like a fool for going back after being told not to. Put yourself in their shoes if you owned a business and you asked someone to never come back. You're only making yourself look worse by going back.
Also, you are VERY naive if you think the BA police aren't on the payroll at Blacks. I happen to know for a fact that several police officers get bribes from Blacks management just like most of the other clubs. You are only bringing attention on yourself that you could probably do without.
Be careful.

I read that article from another website. I have to admit it was sad reading it. Many guys have the attitude that these girls are making a ton of money and living this glamorous lifestyle. Some might be but the majority, IMHO, are struggling to survive. There are more girls on the streets than there are in higher end clubs. I can absolve my guilt by sticking to the higher end clubs but going to places like Cuba you get a real sense of just how desperate some of these people are.
Yes, we love seeing these hot girls. We aren't hurting anyone. We are actually helping these girls support their family and extended families. The mainstream media ignores all conventional wisdom. I would guess that with the economy not so hot in the US that more girls are getting into the business here in the States too.
Like it or not, prostitution will be around forever. It has been around for hundreds of years and will be around for hundreds more. Even in non conventional terms women prostitute themselves to get ahead in companies all the time. Sleeping with superiors..doing what ever it takes, etc.
I think more people will start to realize that sex for money is not so uncommon. Happens all the time in various relationships all around the world.

Saint, I guess JamesBond is just telling us something different that happened to him, to entretrain other mongers, thing that with information sharing is a goal of the forum. Is not like he wanted trouble but just tagged along his friends in a night club where (oh big deal) he's been banned from. Then it was MadMax that wanted the fun to be confrontational, at his own risk I suppose. He is right about these people (altough it make sense that thing happened in Black, nowhere else it could) being stupid, as they don't do any better to themselves making this big pride show, just to boot a yankee or two, that came to spend money. Me in that situation, would have liked to tell the manager (not the brainless bouncers) that there was really not anything to get so hot about. BTW, I never mention police in tense discussions (OK I did it once on the door of a shitty boliche, but it was just because a cop was beside me). Now all this is cool and funny but for god sake JamesBond don't wait the 4th of july to tell us the end of the story.
Oh, I've been to the no-name place that is on Las Heras and Puerreydon. Lack of hot looks, usual drink prices at 15/25, but the girls -poor things- shares revenues with the house. And, they ask too much. But they are not aggressive and I hooked to one that have nice attitude and kissed and groped with a good vibe. A brunette spinner, as in my sanest likings.
A 5p tip here makes the resident belly-dancer and the big-boobed bartender smile graciously and thank you VM. Nice to think that she (the belly-dancer, not the bartender) may be dancing on top of you, if you want that later. Go figure, this boliche management is so cheap to not even spend money on the strippers dancing serving the recoleta boliches. That, on top of taking away chick's money. Bah.
No deal happened basically because I didn't wanted one, as I was happy with my evening date with Zara. But, she is something else.
-
I can see Saint's point that a business should be able to decide for itself, whom it wants to serve. But I found myself having little sympathy for Black when reading JamesBond69's story seeing that I too, was unfairly banned. Saint has reported consistently good treatment by Black's management but it feels a lot different when you're the one who gets the short end of the stick. We want to be fair to the clubs but how fair is it when a customer who has given a good amount of business to a club is tossed out because the management doesn't have the decency to hear his side of the story or is so eager to cover up their own shortcomings that they decide to muzzle a customer who had a bad experience with one of their girls by banning him?
However, getting into a shoving match with club personnel probably isn't the best way to seek redress. But I don't think I should judge seeing as I wasn't there at the scene. Ultimately, the best thing that we can do is to report such examples of poor treatment by the clubs. I suspect there are a lot more guys out there who have gotten the short end of the stick from Black but are too embarrassed to write about it. People should be made aware that things can go quite badly at these clubs and while reporting a bad experience won't change the fact the one got screwed, it can go a long way in getting these clubs to change their behavior.
I'm unfamiliar with Black's arrangement with the police but the fact that they have to give payoffs to the police clearly indicates that Black or any other club is semi-legitimate at best. As such, I can imagine the club management wanting to avoid any intervention by the police. Given the circumstances, that can work for or against us, mongers.
-
Sure. I can appreciate the story. It is comical. I just don't get why he chooses to go back after being asked "never to come back again". Oh well. To each his own I always say. It will be interesting to see how the clubs changed since last September. I've taken a break from Buenos Aires and traveling to new cities but I'm returning in July for a week. I'll check out Black's and other clubs. Hopefully BA hasn't changed too much. I may be moving there in January/February 2005 for a few years. Stay tuned.....

Jackson Wins Post Of The Week with the Washington Post story. That was excellent Jackson and I totally agree with your comments. But that artical and the thinking behind it is why we call America " Sex Prison ". Not mentioned in the artical, is the very exact same thing goes on in every major American city. The only difference being our girls up here charge more money and frankly are no where near as nice or beautiful as their South American counter parts. Moreover, Us Mongers bring hard money into Argentina, lots of it. That money we pay the girls finds its way threw the whole Argentine economy. The morals of America never seist to amaze me. Reminds me of the true story of the early days of Vietnam. The 1st Cavalry Division had their own Cat House at their base camp. Seams the commanding general didn't want his men all clapped up, so they built the place, so it could be regulated. Well it wasn't long till the American press found out about it and ran the story on national television. Well of course we all know the answer to what happend next. Our American mothers couldn't stand the thought of their little boys getting laid before the Gooks shot the shit out of them. ---- Exon

Was in BA for a couple of weeks and sorry it was when you were away Jackson. Hope we can meet up next time.
Saw some old faithfuls plus some new.
First day I had a great sandwich. Wendy (an old flame from Platynum) plus Alanise also from Platynum. Very similar looking and fantastic service. 150 p. each. I strongly recommend this duo.
Then had a Paraguaya from Orleans. Liliana. Seen her there before but this was first time I shagged her. Sweet but not great. 150 p.
Then another old favourite from Orleans. Brazilian Carolina. I mentioned to her your experience Jonas Fun about the Brazilian who you took for a meal and then she wanted more money for sex. Carolina was eager to stress that that was NOT Carolina but another Brazilian that's often there, also with long black hair. Apparently she's bad news and always ends up in an argument with mongers. I think her name was Rosalia. Carolina was as good as you get, already on her knees in the elevator at the Horizonte!! If you see her, say Miguel says hello!
Carolina is sometimes there with a cute blond whose name escapes me. These two were my next sandwich. HOT, HOT and super HOT. Couldn't go to Horizonte as they don't allow threesomes so we went to a nice telo at Santa Fe and Laprida. 50p for the room and again 150p each.
Short trip but the mix of old faithfuls and new talent didn't disappoint!

May I say mine on the Washington Post article. At the end of the day, it is portraing the reality of quite grim lives on streets of a poor BsAs barrio. There is no finger-pointing or referencing to sex tourism, also because obviosly these girls don't see many north-american or european customers. Neither the article is explicitely expressing a moral, as it is just a piece of journalism (as opposed to information), meant for the US readers, on the matter of low-rank prostitution in a remote country; Argentina by chance or choice. And, have to say, little or nothing of what a monger spends in Ar. goes to those that are the one that most would need it. But, the wsg charity is there to doing things with monger's donations and give (real soon now I suppose) some new ovens. But I'm digressing.
Back to info, do not really reccomend this Mia on Platynum where I'm been this afternoon. She sells well with a massage story when in fact it is crappy. In reality, she aims for 150 an hour, one shot, all covered. That is totally out of discussion in BsAs, told her to get real but she would'nt budge so I stick to 60p for 40min of massage and blowjob. She proposed as add-on another brunette not so great looking. The only good thing about her (may be worth a visit if you like the type), is that she is hot almost like the pics suggests.
-
James Bond,
I think you story is either pure BS or one of the most fun and exciting events in the history of Blacks!
Hey, did you happen to see Jovana and other hall of fame chicas?

Trixie Price Fixing
I'm back in Sex Prison after four days and three nights in Buenos Aires. :(
I didn't see any sign of trixie price fixing at Madaho's. 200 pesos seemed to be the norm for a session, but drinks are now 50 pesos, as previously reported. I've never been a really big fan of this place, but I think it still rates above its neighbors and the Suipacha clubs.
I spent a lot more time ordering room service this trip, thanks to my trusty new laptop. Rather than taking a list of girlies and phone numbers with you (or trying to discreetly sneak a peek at Platynum and other websites while in a public locutorio!), it really is better to be able to surf the websites in the privacy and comfort of one's hotel room.
While the weather has been dreary the last couple of days, Autumn is one of my favorite times to visit Buenos Aires. It certainly beats what can be the oppressive heat of summer.
I'll be happy to answer any questions that the membership may have on current conditions that I saw.

I think Otto or Jackson has mentioned that they know the owner of Platynum. Does anyone know what the business model is, i.e., how much the girls pay to be on it? Anyone know what template they use for the website, or similar good template? I have some friends in Brazil, who would like to set up a similar service for the local independent girls. THX
-
Uncle Otto,
Any specific recommendations you can make re: internet chicas as the result of all your surfing?
BTW, I trust our favorite bartender is still manning his post at the Periplo.
Guillermo

Chuponalgas,
Look on Platynum's website, or www.escorts-argentina.com. The address, phone number, and email address is there. Go pay them a visit, and find out all the info from them.

Chuponalgas,
Have your friends look at www.bairesgirls.com.ar. Beside running an escort website with real pics, and an excellent forum, these guys advertise the template they developed.

Re the Washington Post article: I don't know what the media know, or do not know, but I have a friend from the poorest province in Argentina who moved to BA and earned enough as a streetwalker to buy her own house in twelve monthly payments. If that ain't accumulating capital to better your life, I don't know what is. It takes the average American thirty years, so who's that make the dummy?
-
Regarding the success story by Dickhead below.
Yes, but she does it way better than the average American or average Argentinian.
Stormy
-
Guillermo,
Hate to admit to a senior moment here, but I don't remember all the names of the girlies I drilled earlier this week - I will look over Platynum and PM you with the names of a couple of the better ones. Part of the problem is that the names they gave me were almost always different from the names given on the website.
This was an experiment of a different sort for me, though, as I have heretofore been a club man almost exclusively. Though I have had some fun with 1707 Santa Fe girls on previous trips and recommend the place highly (for its selection, not its ambience).

*WARNING*
This is another posting exposing more dangerous rip-off places. I am always willing to help fellow mongers avoid traps.
651 Viamonte (no name) has a golden door(between Florida and Maipu)
I was taken to this place by a grease-ball tout in Avenida Florida. I walked thru the door, turned around and left when the women started to approach me aggressively, because I didn't like the looks of the place. Later, I was told that Croupier(on Carlos Pelegrini), Azul Pub(on La Valle), and this place have the same owner.
"Whiskeria" - 919 Corrientes between Carlos Pelegrini and Suipacha
This place has only the "Whiskeria" sign, with women touts in front. I was in this place once and left when the women tried to pressure me into sitting with them immediately. I was getting upset to the point of violence when they let go of me. But I think I was lucky to get away. Alboroto PM'd me that he was ripped off here some time back.
It appears the procedure is the same in all. If you yield to the pressure and sit down with the women, drinks immediately appear for all, followed by security insisting that you pay for all. You must be careful going to any strange place alone. When you go thru the door, stop. Do not let anyone hustle you anywhere. When your eyes adjust, survey the scene. If there is too much pressure, leave immediately. NEVER sit down with a woman for any reason unless you have surveyed the place at least 10 minutes. If possible, talk only with men until you understand the situation. If you don't speak decent spanish, you really shouldn't go into unknown places at all, especially alone.
When I saw the comments about the police and Black, I was amused. Imagine the ill will that these rip-off places operate against. I am told they must pay a high protection price to the police to operate this way. So you can believe the police protection at Black is going to be way better. Black's main problem is they still can't afford a problem with someone really influential from Alvear Palace. But I am sure Black is expert in knowing about and/or judging who is influential.
-
Lexton ...
That is a good "WARNING" for all the mongers of The Forum.
Be careful at this place called "WHISKERIA". I was ripped of
about US$60.00 in a matter of minutes. These ladies forced
you to sit and as soon as you sit, the drinks come ... I told
them that I did not ordered drinks and they called the
security guy and right away he told me I had to pay. Believe
me it was very scary and was afraid of my well being, and
had no choice by paying and the ladies did not wanted me
to leave; however, I forced myself and left.
Be careful ...
-
Lexton, Alboroto, et al.,
Any suggestions on what to do if you ever find youself in a situation as described in a place like "Whiskeria?"
Sounds pretty scary to me!!
DfB
-
Guys:
I guess that it would be convenient to start a new section under Argentina called "Rip-off places" or "Warning", and post there all the nasty experiences regarding wiskerias and such.
I posted a long time ago a big warning about these places located close to Corrientes Ave and Esmeralda St, in a radius of 200-300 meters. Of course, that message got buried beneath other messages along the time and many people couldn't see it (as alboroto's and Lexton's will in a few weeks, when this page be old).
Andres
-
DfB:
The best strategy is to ask for the bar and state clearly that you don't want any companionship yet, nor to sit down at any table. If they say, "sorry, no bar, just tables", say that you are leaving.
If an establishment on that venue doesn't have a bar or a place in which you can have a drink alone, chances are that they want you to start inviting drinks to ladies right from the start. "Serious" places (e.g., Madahos, Envidia, Hooks) always have a bar and give you the chance to consume and wait before calling any girl.
Hope this helps,
Andres

Black Update
Last Tuesday night I paid a visit to my favorite BsAs institution and I must say that it is as good as ever. Big selection of do-able chicks, 35 pesos for my Tanqueray and Tonic (limited myself to one, as I am becoming a lightweight in my old age), and a passable floor show. My personal favorite for floor shows there is when they have a Mexican mariachi band come in to play. Livens the place up, a lot.
With the increase in Madaho's trixie drink prices to 50, the 75-80 for the same in Blacks seems somewhat reasonable. Others may not agree but I think the overall quality of girls here is still the best in town.
I recall that a few weeks ago somebody pointed out that the most famous American expat in Buenos Aires, Robert Duvall, was bragging about the place on 60 Minutes. A little search turned up the following link:
Originally spoken by Robert Duvall
“This is Black’s. This is supposed to be the best, classiest house of ill repute in the world. You got the beautiful women from Paraguay, Peru, all over the place,” says Duvall, who doesn’t come to Argentina for the women. (Otto rolls his eyes and comments: "Yeah, right!")
CBS continues:
Duvall, who is known for playing colonels and cowboys, comes here to dance. And he spends his nights with his longtime girlfriend in Buenos Aires tango clubs – it’s his obsession.
Otto,
I can't imagine a Mariachi band playing at Black's
That was probably because of cinco de mayo.
I don't think Argentines are very fond of mexicans, but may be
I am wrong.
DWC
-
Dick for Brains,
Please, please, please
Stay away. It will never, ever happen to me again.
-
DWC,
You are correct it was Cinco de Mayo.
As for argentinos y mexicanos, you are
correct, specially now days: The mexicans
are getting on the argentinos case, because
of the economy. The are laughing at them now
days, in fact, some actors are now trying to play
in Mexico and the mexicans do not want to given
work, specially in the Soap Operas, not that like them,
but its on the news.

DFB, take off your clothes, start singing "I've got to be meeeee" and french-kiss the security guys. Works every time!

On the subject of Blacks:
Friend of mine was in BsAs 2 months ago and went to Blacks with his brother. Said he spent 300 in the joint. I said pesos, he said no, dollars. Didn't pull a chick either. And this is a spanish speaking dude from The Bronx!

I am losing my Virginity!( My first report!)
Like that other Great Virginity, I had grand plans of a spectacular entry into the "Men's Club". It would be carefully planned operation where I would show my natural skills and talents. Front-line reporting, followed by a warm round of applause from my peers. (Pulitzer anyone?)
Sadly, Not to be.
Circumstance, that ever present reminder that you don't control everything, finds me in B.A. until Tuesday morning 11th of May and wanting to get a taste of what it is like to be in the pulsating heart of the WSG world, so I turn to you my new found elders to set up some meeting point in the next 3 nights so I can be baptized.
You were all once beginners, so take heart on this young pup and show him some of the ropes.
So please advise place and time and how to recognise you.
Edonist
Ps. The forum is of course about information exchange, and I do have a few things I am burning to say about my first nights in B.A. but I will hold back until things can be put into perspective.

Firstly I must apologise for that first report.
First time nerves, just like THAT first time!
I was trying too hard and to read myself again makes me cringe.
If anyone want to meet up for a Beer.

Edonist,
Why apologize? We were all newbies once, even your Uncle Otto.
It's a pity you weren't in town the same time as I was last week, as one of the things I enjoy most is meeting newbies and showing them the "lay of the land," so to speak.
Two trips ago I had the distinct pleasure to meet Flexible Horn on his first couple of nights in town. He too was a newbie but turned out to be a fast learner (as well as a Spurs fan, and I'm not talking about the ones in San Antonio!).
Just relax, have fun, learn from your mistakes, and let us know what you are doing. There really aren't any right or wrong answers here, just opinions.
-Uncle Otto
-
Uncle Otto,
Good advise to Edonist. I am still a rookie and learning from my mistakes. Even thou I do speak Spanish, BTW, its my native language, still I got burned in BA at "Whiskeria".
Again, hope to meet you as well as FH the next time I am in BA.
-
I've just had my first 1/2 Chandon of the evening on an empty stomach so please bear with any excessive verbosity! but Wow!
Uncle Otto, to have those kind words from an Old Sage (565 reports, and counting) is most encouraging (obe one kanobi?). Thanks for welcoming me into the Club. Hopefully our paths will cross in the future.
This is my last evening in B. A. (with Sonia from Area-vip). I truly hopes she reaches the high water mark left by a sweet Columbian girl whom I met two nights ago in the most unreported of places.
My F.R. will be written up once I have had time to clear my thoughts.

Reports from the street and from Orleans tell me business is very, very slow. Where are the foreigners, they say.

Re: The Mouse in Sex Prison.
I understand the girls in Cattos declared a national day of mourning when you left.
You have a moral obligation to assist the economy of Buenos Aires so come on down!
