There´s a new club in Recoleta, on the corner between Solid Gold and Sodoma. It´s called Madahos, and is quite nice inside, more Blacks than Solid Gold. Long, L-shaped bar, lots of mirrors, a stage and a few pole-dancing mini-stages sticking out of the walls at various heights.

I was there at midnight on Sunday, and it was v quiet. Only half a dozen girls for maybe 15 guys. The exact opposite of the norm... It didn´t feel well established... there was much more happening in PW when I went over there.

So I am just wondering what beauties are visiting these hotels with the locals everyday. I visited a half dozen places in the last 7 years. It's hit or miss: You may find a nice place an have a great session with a very good girl or you may find an ugly chick with in dirty environment.

Although it shouldn't be a hassle to get in and out of a building, some places have a 2 doors locked, so you may get caught locket in between and have to wait for a person to enter the building and open it, asking you " where did you come from?", etc. I guess that downtown apartments don;t hacve such problems, especially during business hours (many people come and go), but I can't say the same for other quarters or daytimes.

I went to at least 60 albergues transitorios. At 1500-1600 Independencia Ave. (7 blocks from the Congress) you will find 2 of them, very cheap to Recoleta standards (p25-p40) and good quality. Most of them are of good quality, and usually you can guess the quality of the rooms from the quality of the building facade (poor or good maintenance, modern or old, etc.).

Email, Getting referrals from a hotel staff can have many advantages. The staff "knows" you and your taste, and can be a good pitch for the chicas. They may also come up with the semi or non-pros. Always tip the staff well, and they may surprise you.

Like always, the best advice is to simply always be aware of your surroundings, only travel in pre-arranged or radio taxis, and read everything you can about travel "dangers" in any foreign country you are visiting. The state department has a lot of information, as well as the CIA world factbook.

I think so. I work on a cruise ship, and I've pretty much been everywhere in the world. OK, let me rephrase that. I've been to many places all over the world.

Of course crime should be a concern for you wherever you go.

But if your smart. Don't wear flashy clothes, don't where expensive or excessive jewelry. Don’t let anybody see your handling money. Don’t walk down dark alleys. Don’t put yourself in a situation that you could get mugged, robbed, ETC.

Just remember never draw attention to yourself. And on any given night, only bring what you could lose in valuables, and do try to be a hero. Also remember dress not to be seen, Don't dress to be seen.

I think you should definitely still go to BA, just be careful, stay safe.

I have an idea. Why don't all those worried about the crime stay home. Go to France, Italy and all the other places you consider safe. Nothing in life is a sure thing. Is there crime in BA? Yeah, but there is crime in any city with over 12 million people.

Why don't you really start worring about the crime in BA when guys from the board post that something happened to them. I know at least 30 guys that have been down to BA since May. (Yes, 30...and some of those dudes have been down to BA three, four and five times). In any given week I'm emailing with someone that is there. You know what? Not one of them has been "express kidnapped", mugged, or experienced crime.

I'm not saying BA has no crime. I'm not saying you will not experience crime but there is no sense worrying about it if you're not even there. The reality is that many that read the board will never go to Buenos Aires.

Also, don't get so wrapped up on any individual girls. Girls come and girls go. There are good odds that the girl you want the most won't even be available when you're down there. I know it sucks but that's the god's honest truth. Good luck all.

I would add that it is much more like an Irish Pub *on many occasions I would laugh because regular couples would enter, hang out, listen to the band and then after ten minutes finally grasp what kind of place it is.

The girls are usually several grades below Playwoman, Blacks, Ness, Cutty Stark. Mainly 5s, and 6s.

Sometimes alone, but mostly with friends. I've never hooked up with anyone from Newports. Some nights I've seen some hotties in there just as hot as Playwoman or Black's....other nights it's been dead.

Hit or miss would definitely describe the place. Definitely stop in though. Doesn't hurt. We usually hit it after Playwoman while walking to Black's or Affaire. It's on the way on Junin Street wedged in between tons of restaurants. The internet cafe I use the most is also a few doors down.

Couldn't agree more with Saint on crime (BA). Is there crime in BA? Sure. When I was there in June, the restaurant across from Art Suites was robbed at gun point. Can we get mugged or kidnapped ? Possibly! I am not trying to scare anyone. But if you take good precautions (I do not want to repeat them - read previosu posts), the probability is very small. Try to hook up with fellow brothers from the board when you go to the bars. If you are alone, take a cab (radio taxi only!).

I talked to my good friend today that is in BA. He told me he is having a blast. He has noticed no increase in crime. I think this is the 4th trip this year to BA for him. He is going back late October and again in November. Said prices are great now. He is paying less now than at the beginning of the month when I was in town with him. He said he hasn't paid more than 200 pesos for any short time visit with chicas and said many were 150 pesos. The rate of exchange today was 3.7 to the US Dollar so it's GREAT!

I think he is going out with that dude from this board that I hooked him up with. If so, have fun! Also, he is in Buenos Aires so much that he decided to get a cellphone of his own. Cost is $30 US per month. I think he said he gets 100 free minutes outgoing and free incoming calls.

Hi, I have been following this board recently, as I will be going to BA early next year. I really appreciate all of the free flowing info that is shared here. Being from Southern Ca, one problem is the added air fare cost to BA from the West coast. Right now, you can book a RT fare from LA to BA for UNDER $600 for Turkey Day week. This is on Lan Chile, with no stops going down, and 1 stop on the return. You can also get FF miles on American on Lan. Hope this helps someone make the call to go to BA. These fares probably won't last long, so you'll need to pull the trigger! thor

I have to agree with the issue of crime. I've visited some dodgy places in my time, Sao Paulo/Havana/Panama/Guatemala/Caracas/New York(!) etc and been to some dodgy areas, however I find that if you don't paint 'VICTIM' across your forehead before you go out then you are generally left alone.

hotels....First time visitors will want to stay in one of two areas: downtown (business/commercial center) or Recoleta (close in residential neighborhood with vibrant night life). There are innumerable hotels, depending upon you price range. The Etoile in Recoleta has been named most often as the headquarters of choice....good security, friendly staff, and location, location, location. Formerly 5 star, now about a 3 as it needs to be refurbished. Expect to pay between 150-200pesos per night, plus tax. Others are listed in the links section.

If you are a first time visitor, I would not recommend an apartment.....there are fewer hassles overall with a hotel.....once you are familiar with the area, an apartment is a great option. Meanwhile, an aparthotel might work for you.....the best of both worlds. Again, see the links for some options...

cost: on average, expect to pay 150-200 pesos for 1-2 hours, plus drinks if she works in one of the chica bars. o/night(TLN) will probably double the cost, depending upon the chica and your relationship with her....some chicas prefer TLN dates with guys they like, others want to do a date or two and go home....generally, I much prefer to wait until I have established a relationship before asking a girl for an overnight date....the cost will be lower if she likes you, and you will know in advance if you want to stay longer with her...

Ok, although I agree strongly with jak about dkell70's post regarding doing the basic research, I must confess that I find myself in what I assume to be dkell70's position.

I have been listening silently now for the past few weeks as I plan my trip to BA, only to be confronted by a barrage of sales pitches about flight costs... What are we now, a group of air-fare mongers? Yes, I know we all need to get the best deals, but there is a place for everything…..We have a specific area for ARG. hotels, links, cities, General information, what about something for the flight hunter? If I knew how to go about creating the space for this topic I would do it. Snr. Jackson, your comments?

I say all the above, not from malice, but from frustration. I now only read posts from "well posted" travellers. All this is due to the fact that it's only now that I am in a position to put together a good working plan for my December BA visit. Hey guess what? it's all thanks to Ezy's reply to dkell70's good questions.

You won't go wrong with either location. I have been to both locales this year and loved both. While your two choices will be vastly different experiences they both offer great bang for your buck on lodging, food, and of course women. I personally prefer the passion of latin women but if asians are your weakness, head east. If you truly love superstar quality asians you may want to consider Macau, although like nearby Hong Kong, there is not much else to do. However I must admit that I have never seen such an absolutely gorgeous collection of women for hire. For about 100us you will be massaged, bathed.blown and banged by some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. Club Black in BA. while having a beautiful collection did not even rise to the looks quality level I saw in Macau. But, and this is a big but, BsAs is a helluva lot better place to be for vacation. As well, with the latina women it is much more of a 2 person, jointly passionate experience. I do plan on returning to Thailand to explore some more, but nothing pulled harder on my heart than Bs As. to which I return in Nov.. Big decision royal but either way you win.

I have been reading for some time now the current thoughts on the internet girls. It seems about 99% of the reviews are that it is hit and miss any many ads are outright misleading.

I've only been once, this past labor day wknd w/ a few days tacked on before. Even though it was cold (40's) and rainy a couple days I still had a great time. Late Oct / early Nov. should be well into beautiful spring weather. I may be wrong but I would equate BsAs seasons roughly with a city like Atlanta. Pretty temperate but during the winter you can catch that week or two of nasty weather, like I did. I'm returning this Nov. and fully expect to hit sunny skies and temps in upper 70's, low 80's. To my eyes it did appear like many of the gorgeous restaurant hostesses trying to lure patrons into their restaurant were in fact college girls, but as for the club girls I didn't have any rushing off to class the next day. Well, my plan is for BA later this year, although I've not been to either destination:

1)BA appears to be a world class city and cultural center - At this time I think of it as NYC at 70% off with from what I can tell lots of lovely and sweet women, who'll it appears will be much better and interesting companions. Pattaya seems to be a dumpy place, but in paradise. I'm not so hot on dirty beaches and polluted water.
