In Sheraton and already screwed by a taxi on my way from the airport, damn those guys are slick been a long time since I've been screwed like this. TL do you have any recommendations for a tall chica ? I need to get rid of this screwed feeling. I tried TL's what's app number but that didn't work.

Snafu.[/QUOTE]If you took a taxi from one of the touts hawking outside of EZE you are asking to get screwed, especially if you do not speak Spanish. I would recommend Taxi Ezezia or a higher cost limo service such as Silver Star.
Better and cheaper yet, take the Tienda Leon bus. It may take a little longer, but the bus terminal is right across the street from the Sheraton.

I thought I was getting an official taxi, there was a black and yellow stand and a guy inside so I thought it official. You are right on asking to be screwed if one does not speak spanish. Next time I would take Taxi Ezezia I didn't actually realize it was a taxi stand, they had such a long line I thought it was a currency exchange at the local rate or something else.

All the taxis are black and yellow in the city of Buenos Aires and if it isn't black and white, it is not a taxi; it is a 'remis' and will not have a meter. That still doesn't tell us how you got screwed. You think you paid too much? How do you know? He gave you counterfeit money as change? What happened?
This is a bit embarrassing but fuck it, it did happen to me.
So I come out and I had changed 200 pesos out at the ATM not wanting to change too much the guy said it's $40 or 400 pesos I thought fuck it I'll just the USD even though I know the unofficial rate is like 12 something. BTW the first ATM I used didn't dispense any money the second one did, I checked my bank this morning and saw two transactions so looks like even the ATMs are shady. Anyways I give the guy 40 and he writes something on a piece of official looking paper. We go to get a cab and he calls one over, I get in and he says ok you pay now I was jet lagged but was pretty sure I had paid so I said no way I just paid you, he says no and his buddy starts to say the same and we go back and forth and he said remember you went back inside and I did go back inside for a second I think fuck I didn't pay the guy. So I give him $40 and he says my friend you just gave me $2 and hands me $2. Like an idiot I give him $40 once the cab pulls away I realize I didn't have any $1 bills on me. I got the cabs license plate number and am thinking of going to the police to file a report, total waste of time or worth doing ? BTW the taxi didn't have any meter or any identifying marks inside, on the outside it said Radio something taxi 202.
I am sure this is old news to the guys who have been here multiple times but maybe this will help the next newbie who flies in.

You would have to go to the cops in the municipality of Ezeiza, which would cost you more than you got ripped off for. For future reference, the black and yellow taxis have a number on the door within the yellow circle. Make a big deal of writing that down as you are getting in the cab. That is the number you want if something happens, not the plate number, although I suppose it would not hurt to have both. But what you seem to have gotten was a remis, since you say there was no meter, in which case the piece of paper you got when you handed over the money is the key thing. That piece of paper should show where you are going and how much you paid.
EVERY TIME you pay a taxi driver lean front and make a show of following the money. Most taxi drivers are pretty honest, and if they know you are watching then the not most generally become honest.

There are many taxi stands coming out of baggage claim area at Ezeiza airport.
Taxi Ezeiza is a little cheaper than others but doesn't accept credit cards.

Arriving to BA the second week of Nov for a several week stay. Got a great r/t fare for $700 from Calif (1stop). Air fare prices to arg have dropped percipitously over the last several weeks. Jackson,keep me on your party list, overdue for a visit. My plan is to stayr at least a week within walking distance of Newport, anyone know of a decent place with kitchen please let me know. All the way up to the point they said they don't accept pesos. Shit even if you send some kid to exchange them right away you have to accept the money.

You may not have noticed but Buenos Aires can be a very expensive place to be lately. I think it was about $120.00 the 1st time I looked at it and then it went to $180.00.
What is it now?
And I don't think that anybody can blame the owners for not accepting toilet paper or Monopoly money. Especially if they are Americans.
It probably went into effect recently.
All I know is that it is owned by Americans, it's Chica friendly , very nice and walking distance to Newport.

Actually a few years ago they said something about not during season and I think it's season year round.
Why don't you ask them about it.
But I still send people there because it's nice and private and who cares about a few pesos.
Meaning I don't give a shit if anybody stays there or not.
But most hotels and apartment rental companies are at about the 15% level.
Restaurants and bars are at the 10% level.
Travel agencies and taxis and limos and just about every time you spend 1 of your centavos somebody gets a part of it.
Shopping centers and malls and Mom and Pop's are 10%.
Tango shows. Bus tours. Boat tours. Soccer ticket outlets.
I think that up to 65% goes to the owner of the Privado. Doesn't that hurt?
The poor little sperm banks only get to keep about 35% sometimes.
Maybe that's a good reason to go straight to the owner of the biz.

Nothing that we can do about it because the rates seem to remain exactly the same whether you slither in on your own or whether somebody helps you get fucked.

That little bullshit front for a coin shop across from Newport and McDonald's that exchanges dollars for so many of the Boys around here also buys and sells gold.
It was about $1200.00 dollars an oz. All over the world except for there I guess.
I was looking to sell and they were kind enough to explain to me that there is such a small demand for gold in Argentina that the value was only $800.00 dollars an oz.

I'm a senior member at the Mother of all Mongering sites. But this is just my first post here. Although I went to Puerto Iguazu for half a day, this will really be my first time in Argentina.
I'll arrive on 6 October. I'll probably be very tired since my flight is early. I think I'll stay about a week. BA looks like it has lot of things to do, mongering and non-mongering wise. After that I think I'll go to Rosario, and Cordoba, then off to Chile. I can stay longer, but I have a lot of places I want to see before Thanksgiving time in the US. Well, that's like an itinerant club. They do a club inside of another club, and I'm not sure if all the girls are working girls, but I can tell about Natasha at least. I think it's useful information.
One week ago I've been to the Nuevo Estilo / Pampita boliche and the police closed (temporarily) the place, so I've seen a few girls at the nearby gas station and had some little conversation with them, some of the girls said they would wait to enter to the boliche while other girls returned back home.
But this party that "trendyparty" suggested to "gagoo" is private and kind of difficult to trace/ stop.
However, I must say it's not easy to get there and "trendyparty" was not very clear to say you must register first, that makes it a little bit more complicated than just entering to a club, but I think it's due the major problems regarding inspections and heterosesual-sex-hate-wave the country experienced lately.
Natasha is a fitness girl, not very young, but she is fit and easy to be with. Girls in there are charging about ARS 2.000 to ARS 3.000 depending on how you negotiate, or the Cinderella syndrome (the later time, the less expensive rate).
