I will be at X this evening at 11pm to meet a few of the Boys if anybody else wants to show up the more the merrier.

If you don't know me I will be wearing Khaki walking shorts and I have a Buzz cut. Just trying to see if any girls have started to roost there yet.

After that we are probably going to go to Hook and Catto's in search of new "Meat!"

There are some Chicas at Excedra at night, last night there were maybe 5 but all of them were well over 45. The waiter said that they will be allowed but maybe a bit lower keyed this time. The 4 or 5 girls last night were working the tables going from client to client and then back to their headquarters or base station table. HAGS!

Since I keep an apartment pretty close by, I used to frequent Excedra, if for nothing more than the shock value of a gringo sipping coffee whilst surrounded by professionals. I used to get a kick out of it. And sometimes even a bit more. I was sad when they boarded the place up, so when I got back here this week (after a 3 month hiatus) I was delighted to see it had re-opened.

Well, it certainly is more upscale than before and it has a different feel to it for sure. I sat down outside to sip a coffee and get a lay of the land. No pun intended.

There were a couple of women working. One who caught my eye from a distance but up close was not more than a 7. What surprised me was the number of cars that were pulling up on the street in front of the place and honking their horns so the women would come out and talk to them through their car window. Since I was sitting outside, I had a birds eye view of this. It was like something you see on HBO when they do a documentary like "Hookers on the Point". Women in micro mini skirts leaning into the window of some John's car. Oh well.

A lot of street walkers were hovering around nearby, not actually sitting in Excedra (perhaps to save the cost of a cup of coffee) and trying to work the street as well. It didn't have the same vibe as the old Excedra at all. What's that expression? You can never go home again...

Not a rousing success, nor a total waste. One of the guys from the house and I went down at 2130. It was far too early. There were however a few chicas there, so not a total loss.

The cigar guy showed up at 11:00 and after a brief discussion we concluded that future meetings will start at 2300. Cigar guy had already eaten but we had not so we left to grab chow. In the future SAMA meetings will start with an optional dinner downtown followed by coffee (or drinks) at E.

In any event it was a nice evening, cool but not cold, there was an interesting discussion of electronic publishing and how that benefits authors.
