Money is something one works all the life for, discovering later than one either has too much or too little. Never, never ever, just enough. In either case, the result is not gratifying. Alas, there is no clear alternative to this pursuit. Not to me at least. Suggestions welcome.
American lifestyle has been described as buying things that you don't need, with money that you don't have, to impressed people that you don't like. With new models and styles coming into the market every day, our rooms and garages are full of past excessive behavior. Everytime you start the car, and go out for 2 hours, what is the minimum you will spent? You don't even spent one second justifying your trip. Not quite the same as the days when you saddle your horse, and ride out to the creek, take a swim and nap a little. You forgot your credit cards? No problem.

Is it just me when I feel like I am walking around inside of an ashtray when I am walking around in BA?
Everybody smoking and leaving a trail full of stench that even this windy city can't blow away!

You know what they say,"the only thing worse than a smoker is someone who quit smoking" LOL I know as I quit smoking in 2003. Now I find the smell sickening and always try to avoid it, ask for a non-smoking room, eat inside if they allow smoking outside etc.
