Share the tears!
Yeah Artisttyp I know the feeling! My body has betrayed my primitive innerself to those who see me in the swimming pool, lounging in the sun, etc! Heh.
I looked into this a little bit, but haven't gotten deep into it yet.
There are a number of factors that could make a treatment not work. The frequency or color of the laser needs to be set right for skin color and hair color. There are certain types of lasers that should be used for certain types of skin. The treatment does have to be repeated, because apparently the treatment only works on folicles that are actively growing hair and all of your folicles don't grow hair all of the time.
I just can't imagine getting my hairy back waxed. But it's not just for looks either - I can't stand someone massaging me because it PULLS THE DAMNED HAIR! Even with lotion. I'd love a good backrub!
One of these days I'll try laser, I'm sure.
I use a trimmer on my body hair. It works pretty well and it doesn't look shaved. A number 2 oyster machine blade works for me. If not I get serious bush and women find it a little too much. Besides it makes my grey chest hairs go away.
I get the low back patch with a side burn trimmer called a "T bar" size000 in professional circles.
Nose hairs I combat with tweezers or else I'd be trimming bushes daily. Even those come back.
Gotta tweeze your eyebrows unless you want the frida kahlo look.
It's brutal and YES people notice.
