Puertomaderohot location and price.
Hi Captian.
Or any one who has been here.
Whats the nearest cross street to tell taxi?
Muchas Gracias.
I like to pay a visit here while I am still here.
El Alamo is probably right. So the address must be 786, 25 de Majo, Apt 58, piso 9. 786 means its just right near where 25 de Majo crosses Cordoba (or a couple of blocks away from Cafe Orleans.
If you are staying anywhere in Microcentre its close enough to walk.
In the email received by Eddinger it says "El precio es de $170 la media hora y $250 la hora", so be worth checking whether the 250 half hour and 300 the hour quoted by Captain is just for foreigners. It seems a nice place so would be a pity to establish a precedent for over-paying.
Is Argentina all that bad?
So Lysander, if my posts offend you, don't read them. If you find fault with them, point it out and give some objective criticism. I am a big boy and I won't cry. You may recall from your youth in Australia, the saying, "Play the ball, not the man." If my facts are wrong, "Have a go ya mug".
Argento
Don't worry Argento. I am not easily offended. In fact I'll be only too happy to share a few beers and exchange a few insults in person when I come down here later this month. Where I went to school we played Aussi rules football where its more a case of tackle the man and worry about the ball later.
Obviously my perspective on Argentina is very different to yours. In the past five years I've been to Argentina six times and must have spent almost two years there in total. I now have a working grasp of Argentinian Spanish and have made some good friends there. Some of my closest friends in Europe are also from Argentina. I'll be there again for two months in a couple of weeks time. However, I don't live there and don't claim to be an expert on all things Argentinian. Gracias a Dios, I am not trying to run a small business there. My hat goes off to any foreigner who tries to do so. Sadly, the many difficulties you experience in running your business seem to have soured your view of every aspect of Argentinian life and all Argentinians. The thing is that most readers of this forum are not trying to run a business. They go to Argentina to have a good time for a few days or weeks. All the evidence suggests that most of them have a generally very positive experience. Sure, they may notice the garbage in the streets, the broken pavements, the noisy buses, the crowded subtes, the uncontrolled building of high rise apartment blocks and other irritating aspects of daily life, but these are vastly outweighed by the other positive things - the night life, the restaurants, the cheap taxis, the scenery, and the generally friendly and helpful people. Most tourists don't have to deal with the corruption and bureaucracy, but then again most don't know about the great chica scene in BA either.
If everything about Argentina was as bad as your relentlessly negative posts suggest, why do people like me like it there, and why do we keep on coming back. Are we all stupid, masochistic, or just plain naive? Just because you live there does not make you the sole arbiter of the absolute truth about the country. Come on Argento, surprise us one day. You must have the occasional positive experience you'd like to share with us.
Have a good day.
Lysander
Nothing to make a fuss over.
I introduced another AP member to this privado a week ago.
I had a hot tall blond that time around.
They charge $ 250 pesos an hour. Another $ 50 pesos if you want cola.
Nothing all that exciting. Out of all the girls on their site, I would say 2-3 are good looking in person, the rest were just average or below average.
Regards,
