Wow, I take a few months to post my experiences and it turns out I had a great experience with the chica, Barbara, that Jackson had a bad experience with. I guess you broke her in for me Jackson! You and I both know that the difference between 100 pesos and 120 pesos is negligable to a Euro or Dollar earner. However if unchecked it will become more and more until pain is reached. If you remember El Jefe's original post about Madaho's His emplored us not to pay more than 150 pesos, now 300 has become the standard price and a lot of chicas are trying to get 400. This in a country where the minimum monthly wage is around 500 pesos per month.

I really don't mean to start off the "He paid way too much money" debate because I don't think you did, and if I did it's none of my damn business how you spend your money. A year or so ago, Dickhead and Saint got into all of this. My feeling then and my felling now is you are a grown man and are free to spend what you wish on whatever you wish to spend it on.

Back then it was about $500 dollars a day to have a good time. One peso was equal to one dollar. So when you bought the $12 peso steak at El Parrillion in Recoleta you were really paying $12 US dollars.

After the devaluation I returned and it was hard to spend $150. dollars a day and have the time of your life. The $12 peso steak at El Parrillion was now costing a little over $4 US dollars

Having just returned two weeks ago I find that I was struggling to keep my budget under $200 dollars a day. The $12 peso steak was now costing $28 peso's. The exchange rate was about the same so I was now paying about $10 US dollars for the same steak I was buying for $4 dollars two years earlier.

In reading the Buenos Aires Harold last month I found that the Argentine government was admitting to a rate of inflation of 1.2% per month for January & Febuary or something like 15% a yearly basis. In fact I believe the rate of inflation is much higher, maybe something in the order of 20% to 25%.

My point too all of this brother Mongers is I don't believe we have much more time until Buenos Aires has priced it self out of the market. Our girls are working for a living and they have to raise their prices accordingly to the economy they live in. This inflation is all accross the board, Hotels, Taxi's, Food, Beer everything is substantially up in price.

Buenos Aires won't be there as we have come to know it in two years.
