I monger in Amsterdam 7-12 times a year. After thinking about it. I can smoke hash, eat dinner, enjoy the company of a girl just as hot as anything in there for the same price maybe just a touch more depending on the hash prices.

These clubs are ridiculous. I can understand going there a few times to have the club experience. There are just too many other options after you have experienced an upper-end gentleman's club with all the girls to go. After a few times, unless you only have a day or two in town-silly.

Newbies, check-out the tread on well priced chicas, independent chicas. For the newbies the girls there don't respect guys who ridiculously over pay and you will likely not see there best game. This opinion is based on having outside the club regular client with a few high end club ladies. Comments like: see me before work, the clubs is only for idiots. There are just too many gorgerous, highly skilled 400 peso girls.

If you have never seen the insides of these places, go, have your one over priced drink. Hang-out and chat up a few ladies and leave with or without a girl. These clubs are part of the baries experience-but otherwise they are really silly.

Well, if anybody feels better the girls in Madahos yesterday were screaming bloody murder since number of copas went down significantly. In a sense it was more fun since everybody was there at 2:30.

Until now I've found it entertaining to visit the scene in particular since in the past these visits produced some enjoyable and long lasting connections but what is too much is too much. Price to quality ratio just went through the roof.

BTW, if relevant, in my experience from the last week it's still relatively simple to bring the chica's price down to 600 pesos both in Madahos and Hippo.

But I'm a newbie to BsAs and I hardly speak any Spanish but I've had two great experiences so far going the independent chica route and the most I've paid so far is $400. Well, it's always the question of preferences. If the idea is one hour sex, there is no discussion. With good preparation, one can always find better deals on the web. Although (and this is now for non-spanish speakers) this may no be easy. For me, the reason for visiting the places like Madahos is the `game' itself (some people may not like the game though) and also that one may find non-professional girls which may be more open to communication on a different level. This in my limited experience is different from independent girls who go through 4-5 men on daily basis. If I were living here, I would probably have a different point of view.

Otherwise, to respond to the other question regarding who really goes to these places. I am going to go one night anyways. I can probably get in free, but I haven't been there in over a year. Last year I went only 3 times due to the poor quality of the chicas.

I continue to believe that those who deride boliches like Madahos simply "don't get it." You can't compare them to privados. I've been to manyl privados and hate them all. I far prefer to get to know the chica over a few drinks, to look around a bunch before making my selection, and the whole "club scene." I understand that it's more expensive. But, that's what I'm paying for. I've never found a privado that comes even close.

That said, I was in Madaho's two nights about three weeks back. It was a bit depressing compared to years past. There were many new chicas, some good and some not so good. There were a fair number from the last time I was there a few years before that. I still knew most of the wait staff and bouncers. If you're trying to get laid for the cheapest price, then you're definitely wasting your time at any boliche. But, if you're comparing those two experiences on that basis, then I submit that you're missing the point. There's a reason why places like Madahos and Hippo are still in business, and still appear to be thriving, even if they are a bit down from past years. It's not because everyone in there is stupid, as some would have you believe. That's just sour grapes, in my opinion. It's because there are folks who want that experience.

To put it slightly different: If my only mongering choices were outcalls and privados, then I probably wouldn't monger. I understand that many people don't feel that way. That's fine. But, have a modicum of respect for those who don't appreciate all the finer points of outcalls and privados. Maybe, just maybe, there are different venues for different tastes. If you can direct me to a Madahos experience with just as many quality gals for sale, and just as convenient a location, at a cheaper price, then please do. But, if you send me to an apartment on Santa Fe or Junin, then you've missed the point. Just my two cents.

I ended up at Madahos at the end of the night last night. When I arrived I dropped my guys name so I could get in free and get a table down front. The door men looked at me like I was nuts. After some explanation they told me that he fell over dead from a heart attack about two months ago. This was the old guy with the pony tail. I still got in free, but there were no tables down in front. Next time I can get a table no problem one of the other guys remembered me as did two waiters.

The place was full, the recent prices increases have not slowed this place down one bit. The quality of the chicas was a little disappointing, there were a few hot ones but they were few and far between. The dancers however have kicked it up a notch or two and there were some real stunners up on the poles.

I talked to a few girls, some that I knew for 6 years even. One of my favoritas from la lopez was trying really heard to get me to take her out, but I was not paying for a chica drink for her quality. The problem with Madahos is the value is not there. In the Termas my entire nights drinks, one session with the girl (which includes outstanding GFE service) and all the kissing, dancing, and making out would come to 200 USD. 200 USD is what it cost me for just the Madahos hooker girl to come home with me. For the money I spent in Madahos + all the cab fare I could have paid my entry and been laid 3 times in a German Fkk. I love the party scene and I am willing to pay more fo the party scene but what is reasonable? These people obviously did not want my repeat business. Fuck them. I will say that the woman are hot there.

Below I have posted my review of Madahos. I posted this in another thread but I thought it would fit here. If you haven't already read this, feel free.

The bad – I walk in Madahos with a bottle of water. The bouncer is making a 'drink up' signal and whistling and saying in broken English 'drink up. ' He repeats himself 4 times (jackass). I ignore him and put my water her down. They want a 180 Peso cover. I pay the Gringo tax. 180 Pesos gets you a free drink and entrance to the club. This is not bad because a beer cost 120 Pesos or 30$ USD! There are hookers and dancers. The hookers want 300 USD$ to go home with you and you have to buy them a drink for 250$ Pesos. I am told that you can negotiate down to 150 USD. I talk to a nice looking Paraguan hooker with sexy jet black hair. If it weren't for her crooked teeth she would be a stunner. She can speak English and she offers me 200$ USD. I decline. I want to shop some more. I interview just about everyone I am interested in and make a few offers. I see a dancer who is flawless. As she is spinning on a pole I ask her 'Quanto custa? ' She answers 500$USD. No way!

Damn! I should have taken he Paraguan with black hair. Someone else scoops her up and she is led out the door. I went there last week and it cost me 210P for a black label. I just wanted to see if it was as bad as I already thought it would be reading the reports. I didn't even bother talking to any of the girls, except one started talking to me, a big huge monster chica, I almost puked. Boy has this place come down. Ugly women, I mean yeah some great bodies with horse faces, but lots of oversized women. At least at Blacks, for 150P I got my black label, filled up to the top of the glass, the girls won't harass you. But this place, and what a trashy bartender. Sorry, no, that was my last time in there. At the most, I would pay 80 Pesos entry, including a drink, may be 80 Pesos for a chica drink, and may be 600 Pesos for an all nighter. Anything above that is a waste, the average income in Argentina is still not more than 1, 000 Pesos a month. And from what it looks, another crisis is down the road, just like in 2001.

ALL of the clubs have opted for the "Argentine Economics 101" standard.

Hotter garotas, g-strings, better music, better setting, better atmosphere, better fee model, etc, etc. And, in terms of prices, you don't have the crazy chica drink rules, and the booze is far more reasonably priced. There are some quirks. Places like Centaurus will charge you a high entrance fee, but the fee goes toward your first garota. Basically, you pay for a 40-minute session before you set foot in the place. But, once they get to know you and see that you regularly spend money there, they waive the fees.

My favorite place, Lomo, charges no up-front fee and the place has a great atmosphere and great girls. An up and comer is Solarium. It's a bit further from Copacabana or Ipanema, but it's well worth the trip. It's a medium sized place with great looking garotas. On the final Tuesday of every month, they have "school girl night." No, they don't bring in little school girls. But, all the regular garotas dress up in school girl outfits. It's quite a sight to behold. And, you step out onto the back porch and you've got a great view of the Christ statue, which is useful if you spend a fair amount of time there.

Like Madahos, I would suggest that anyone with the means give Rio a try. It is definitely different and, for my money, a much better experience.

Hotter garotas, g-strings, better music, better setting, better atmosphere, better fee model, etc, etc. And, in terms of prices, you don't have the crazy chica drink rules, and the booze is far more reasonably priced. There are some quirks. Places like Centaurus will charge you a high entrance fee, but the fee goes toward your first garota. Basically, you pay for a 40-minute session before you set foot in the place. But, once they get to know you and see that you regularly spend money there, they waive the fees.

My favorite place, Lomo, charges no up-front fee and the place has a great atmosphere and great girls. An up and comer is Solarium. It's a bit further from Copacabana or Ipanema, but it's well worth the trip. It's a medium sized place with great looking garotas. On the final Tuesday of every month, they have "school girl night." No, they don't bring in little school girls. But, all the regular garotas dress up in school girl outfits. It's quite a sight to behold. And, you step out onto the back porch and you've got a great view of the Christ statue, which is useful if you spend a fair amount of time there.

I was planning on a trip back to BA but looks like its just not worth it despite the great exchange rate.

Stan you forgot 4X4 and 65 in centro, during the week they are a great place to visit even if you are staying in Copacobana and they open at 2.

I've been to Cafe Foto a few times. It's more upscale than Madaho's, the garotas are sexier by a long shot, but it's also much, much more expensive. A number of years ago, I was in Bomboa, which was good back then. But, I've heard the whole scene in Sao Paulo is drying up. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

Doppel, I didn't really forget Quatro por Quatro. It's just not one of my favorites. But, I agree with you that it's unfair not to mention it. It's easily the largest terma in Rio. It's not really fair to compare Madaho's to the termas. But, I do think the comparison to the boites in Sao Paulo is fair. It's the same basic setup. I also find the regional differences interesting. Why haven't the Rio termas caught on to any great degree in Sao Paulo or Argentina? Why hasn't the upscale boite caught on in Rio? Both places have a smattering of what the other has, but nothing serious.

They are more expensive in SP but the quality is great and the first programa with a girl is expensive when including entrance and motel. But once they know you are cool and safe to be with they will see you outside for less and youavoid the entrance or motel fees. Many times garotas have told me they rather spend a day with me someone they know than to go with 2-3 guys they don't know per day.

Prices are insane, the chica's onda (level of service) is rarely acceptable and never great.

Places like Madaho's exist for those who like to be seen at a scene, show their friends or talk and tell about chicas.
