Hi guys, I will be in BA for my first time next week.
I've booked true Mayra in Murano Hotel.
Suggestion and new report about activities are welcome, if you wanna join me please PM.
Plaza San Martin is chica friendly. The german gal at the desk might frown a bit. I was with a chica there last year and at 4AM the front desk calls up that there is another girl here, should I send her up? I said no thanks. The other one called 15 min later and sure enough it was the one I thought. Just nice that they did not send her up. An example of good hotel managment.
Also, I suggest the exec suite so you have a seperate bedroom.

I am here at the Marbella and have discovered that the departmento or apartment is NOT an apartment with a kitchen or anything but just a big two bedroom hotel room with four beds. So, forget what I said about that. Sorry!
I have a question about Apart Hotel Recoleta. I've stayed there in the past and just booked it again for next week. But looking at a post from December, it seems that they have a no guest policy now. Is that still the case? If so, I need to cancel my reservation.
Hey, Guys:
For HOTEL RESERVATIONS, you know you can count on Mayra. Actually she has a big selection of hotels in different price ranges and in different areas of the city.
HER NEW EMAIL ADDRESS IS: MAYRABRILL@ARGENTINA.COM
HER NEW CELL. PHONE IS: 155 307 3300. In service since March,23rd.
Kisses, Roxana.
So I talked to the front desk at Apart Recoleta. They said that they still do allow guests. The only change now is that the guest has to register. I can live with it. They've always been great to me. They even allow me to check out 10 hours late on my last day without charging any extra. Good for those flights leaving at night.
Based on the recommendations of other mongers, I decided to spend my first visit to BA at the Dazzler Hotel and had Mayra make the arrangements. The rate has recently been increased to $42 Am plus tax but it still appeared to be a good rate for my 2 week stay.
All I can say is that it has exceeded my expectations. The only minor complaint I have is that there is only one computer so it is hard to get on at times. However, there are 2 cyber cafes within the block where access is never a problem.
I have a nice clean room on the 11th floor overlooking the park. The bed is perfect, and the staff are great. They even forceably removed a beligerent chica at 4:00 a.m. (more about this in the 2004 reports section)
Their complementary buffet style breakfast is also tasty.
The Hotel Dazzler is good value.
I guys,
I just checked yesterday in Murano. Nice place, very friendly staff, I should really recomend the place!
Just to confirm. Having a guest at Apart Recoleta is not a problem. The doorman just holds onto her ID until she leaves. Itīs not the fanciest place in the world, but for $41 if you pay cash or $45 by credit card you canīt beat the value considering the location.
Chica Seeker, the computer is nice, but you have to be insistant if someone won't get off after their 15 minutes. I had some teenagers who were on for 30 minutes each, and just didn't want to leave.
I found that 3am-5am was the easiest time. This only works if you come home alone, though.
Some other pics from Murano.
Just an info from yesterday, the hotel it's been incorporated in a new hotel chain so it will be call Pestana Buenos Aires.
Another from Murano.
One reason to been in Murano.
The Jacuzzi!
The Murano is also but a few steps from Cafe Exedra. Also, when you walk to Cafe Exedra you'll pass this hole-in-the-wall bar called Imagine. I took a peek inside Imagine on a Thursday night last week and there was maybe one doable chica.
