I'm off to BA as well, leaving the 27th through the 8th of Oct. Hopefully staying at the ArtSuites. Hey Jackson -- can you provide details of how you got American Airlines to match Delta's fares? Do you know if it's upgradeable so that I can use my mileage to sit in a fat seat?
Anybody want to connect while we're all down south? If so, let me know at sf_******@yahoo.com

Oops. My em address was partially replaced with **. It should have read SF_******

I must be ignorant about something having to do with posting email addresses. The missing word in my email address is ******

OK. Last try. The missing word in my email address is a 6 letter spanish word for man.
Why did the board substitute asterisks??

Wow. Great fares! I wish I had the time to go again sooner. Unfortunately November is my next trip. Also, anyone booking on Delta Airlines, don't forget to go to their website and register for the Bonus miles offer. They are offering 25,000 bonus miles if you complete travel before November 30th. I get back one day earlier and won't be able to get the bonus miles but I might fly down in early November just to get the extra 25,000 miles.
(It's hard to find the special offer. Go to their website: http://www.delta.com; click on specials on the right; click on "skymiles special offers"; click on "Fly to select destinations in Latin America and earn up to 50,000 miles " .For the special offer you MUST register your frequent flyer #. This isn't a heavily advertised offer but well worth the time to register. 25,000 bonus miles is nothing to sneeze at. With the regular miles you'd already have over 35,000 miles.
DonJuan, there are certain words that are automatically blocked automatically by the system. Yours happens to be one of them.

That's great but if you are planning to fly to BA on a regular basis what's the point if Delta discontinues service to BA, as rumor has it.
Are these points transferable to other airlines. Perhaps this is a question more for a travel agent than hobbyist:-)

Hey 25,000 miles is 25,000 miles. Delta will still fly to Sao Paulo. Plus, as much as I love Buenos Aires I'm sure I'll hit other cities.... EVENTUALLY...ha, ha.
P.S. It's NO rumor. It's a fact. Delta will not be flying to Buenos Aires or Rio after December 1st.
-
saint....thanks. let's see...the trip is 10,000 (app) miles...I have Medalion status, so I get 25% extra...or an additional 2,500 miles plus 25000 bonus miles...that's 37,500 miles for a trip to the promised land....almost enough for a trip to Sao Paolo...and more than enough to go to Costa Rica or Columbia or Souix City, Iowa (if you are of a mind to go to Iowa)...how could a person not go one more time????

aa has a web special! now, i checked from miami, so don't know about other cities.

Hey guys, I'm a long time business traveler to Argentina, but unfortunately not recently. Anyway, I love this forum, so please get back to the details of your sexual experiences and spare us the travel agent talk!!!

Hello, I am travelling to buenos aires from Oct 16-22nd. Anyone else going to be there and want to hang out? Let me know if you are. rbcolo_1@yahoo.com. I speak spanish fluently as well.

ua has the $375 fare. aa has it also (actually cheaper), but aa requires travel mon-thu.
looks like i'll be doing a b.a. trip on oct17-20!

Keith,
Nothing for nothing, it's this "travel agent talk" that allows guys like you to live vicariously through guys like us via the board so please quit your complaining and be thankful that this board is the high quality it is.
Ok. More "travel agent talk". Ha! Leo just emailed me cause he mistakenly figured out that trips from EZE to MIA are about 4 times cheaper than going from MIA to EZE around the holidays. Example. You can fly a chica in from BA to MIA (providing she has a passport AND visa) for $359.50. The flight would leave BA on December 19th and she would go back January 4th. $359!!!!!! That same flight from MIA to EZE is over $1500.
I don't know about you but I'm thinking if you know any chicas down there that have a visa...definitely try to fly her in. Just the difference in price is $1140. Something to think about.
