Santa 1707 was the very first privado I visited in BsAs. Returned few other times and had reasonable good times. IME, BBBJ always had been extra. My last visit here was back in MAR 06. Not since I have discovered other alternatives such as Maipu 359, Corrientes 1125, and Uruguay 343 providing better services with no upsell or propina. I quote from one of our famous mongers "Who needs this place? AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!" ;)
For all the obvious reasons. Sid and I may disagree on politics but are spot on about this place, avoid at all costs.

I think it is just a little bit hasty to write this place completely off and to give it an avoid rating. As far as I know, 1707 has always maintained reasonably honest, straightforward business practices and in my experience always has a nice lineup of girls with fit bodies. They must be doing something right, as they have been in business for a long time and I have sent many mongers there who mostly come back satisfied. $150 AR is not too bad especially if you consider you could get the chica to come back to your house for that and could potentially build up a nice arrangement with the chica for no-cost BBBJ and BBFS. Considering the super convenient location, convenient hours (11am-5am) and reasonable price, especially compared to the Recoleta clubs (minimum $500 AR with entrance and chica drinks included) I will continue to recommend this place to mongers.

As far as "reasonably honest business practices," I recommend you read the very beginning of this thread, or ask the guy who runs this website how honest he thinks their business practices are. I know that was all before your time.
I've only been there maybe six times (estimate) but I got dishonest business practices twice. Another time they made me wait in the stairwell. So fuck that.
Oh, and for convenient hours: Note that Santa Fe 1707 is [b]closed on Sundays[/b]; Uruguay 343 is 24/7 and 365. Pretty convenient, I would say. From El Alamo take the #102 bus. That will also get you to Corrientes 1125 which is 24/6.
RH may be right considering where he is making his recommendations from and to. Not far from his place, secure feel to the entrance, well lite busy street corner for guys that speak next to no spanish. I personally have never had a problem with their business practices but am not hung like Juan Juad as apparently is the case with the webmaster here. I also can't argue with RH point regarding chica quality, I have never once had to leave due to nothing worth fucking. I also have a strategy for excessive tip solicitation. Blow me with a rubber and I won't fuck you in the ass. So no propina needed.
Perhaps avoid is a touch strong, better value at nearby privados may be better.
Though I haven't been there in years and can't imagine the circumstance of a return.

I have been going to 1707 for about 5 years now. There has always been an additional fee or propina for bbbj of 20 to 30 pesos. The hour now is 150, half hour is 100. I think the talent level is excellent and it remains a good value. I also enjoy Uruguay 343 which is open Sundays and which has a website with the talent on duty for the day listed.
It returns to Santa after a year of not concurring.

I was there last week and I have to admit it is the best looking privado I have seen down here. Very professional but they tried to upsell me by asking more pesos for added activities. I believe it is best to pay up front for everything and call it a deal. When upselling comes into play then this a good indication that the service will be in question. Location, apartment and girls are great but not to be trusted.
