First let me say what a pleasure it is to read your long posts after you'd gone such a long time without any major posts. Is this area you refer to where your apartment is near Palermo? I had a very good DENTAL experience in BA. I am planning upon having implants done next. The dentist was 100 pesos for one filing, cleaning and x-rays. Everything was done by the dentist, who is single, not bad looking and about 40.

The oral surgeon for the implants is the chief of oral surgery at a large BA hospital and teaches implantology. US$700 per implant.

He was a little loco suggesting doing both sides of my mouth at the same time. My american dentist consulted with him by email and telephone. The BA dentist arranged with my family doctor to have my USA health insurance pay for a CT scan of my mouth to check the bones for the implants.

I purchased a blazer for about one third of what it costs in the usa. I went to the Chistian Dior shop in Patio Bulrich because it carrys larger sizes. The Christan Dior store on Vincente Lopez is cheaper.

The manager was quick to apologize to me and said to forget about it.

But it turned out that they were just trying to get rid of me without causing a scene. I recently returned from a 1 week stay in Buenos Aires and wanted to provide the group with the recent information. I stayed at the Loisuites and had no problems bringing in several chicas. In 8 days I had 13 different girls and abo ut 5 repeats. While I was convinced the day time employees were trying their best not to laugh at me the nighttime staff was very friendly.

As to the boliches I spent the vast majority of my time at Madahos and Black. Economically Madaho is a much better deal. I know that others pay less but I was forcded to pay $100 US per girl. This always gave me an hour and a half and on multiple nights the girl slept over without asking for anymore money (aside from the cab money that they all ask for). I think one of the reasons I was forced to pay $100 to every girl was that I could not speak very good spanish and everyone knew I was American. While the overall quality of girls at Black is in my opinion a definite notch above Madahos the top ten percent from Madaho can compete with anywhere.

I found that I was able to get any girl down to $150 but the quality and the length of time would suffer. With that being said I quickly decided that I would rather pay $50 more for a better experience. The other thing about Black is that you don't just pay twice as much for the girls you also pay twice as much for drinks and chica drinks. For mongerers on a budget this is not the place to go. However, the atmosphere when you walk in when Black is buzzing is second to nothing in Buenos Aires.

I had drinks at Shampoo, Hook at Cattos but did not partake with girls from any of the above. There were some pretty girls at each but I would say these places are a definite notch down from Madahos. On one night I took a chica home from Affaire and had a very good time for $100. I never went back because I had such an annoying experience with the stree touts out front.

Anyway I tell him the truth (truth above) and naively express my amazement that I should have to defend myself for merely expressing my opinion to others in private conversation (free speech anyone?) Then I added that with the internet you can't stop someone from expressing a view. Why there are sites where people are expressing their view to thousands of people online about places like Blacks.

After my brief speech about the internet I politely excuse myself and go back to my chair at the bar. He goes off in another direction.


Well as I turned I got an uneasy feeling that this wasn't over yet. Later I realized that this guy probably was asked by the manager to ask me to leave but didn't follow through on it, probably because he himself didn't agree that it necessary to chuck out a guy who wasn't making any problems, at least any obvious problems like being drunk or rude.

So I went back to my drink, a bit dumfounded. I figured that this couldn't possibly be about the few words I had with the law student regarding the BA monger scene. Most likely the bartenders who had tried to pad my tab a few pesos was somehow trying to make problems for me.

Well I wasn't at the bar more than a few minutes when the heavy artillery showed up - the big dapper bouncer at the door with the original guy who pulled me to the back of the club and a guy with a pony tail who works the door.

Yikes. All this firepower! This must be serious. I am immediately escorted to the stairwell, like some sort of criminal. Everyone is stretching their necks this time to see who it is. It was clear that I was being thrown out of the club unceremoniously to say the least.

I was escorted to the second landing when Danielle the manager opens the door:

"I have received reports from no less than fifteen of our hostesses that you are saying bad things about Blacks." The manger says this in perfect English, albeit with a slight South Beach Miami Latin accent.

Anyway it was fairly futile to defend myself. It had been already decided that I was to be BANNED FROM BLACKS. - for LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(and believe me it is a life sentence. The staff (not the chicas at Blacks are there for life and no one forgets a customer, particularly a banned customer!)

I was promptly shown the door, wondering on my way back to the hotel if I had an evil double that spoke Spanish fluently and was working on commission from another club.

A TRIP SOUTH

I had had every intention of staying in BA for the entire length of my vacation. Some of you might remember that I am long time champion of Mar Del Plata where I dated a non-pro girl.

(I timed it).
