I made a visit last night. It was quite disappointing. The quality of chicks were very poor and surprisingly too many clients on Monday nite. Many expats and many locals.

I was shocked by myself because I did not find a single girl who was attractive enough to take out!

Interestingly, I was here on Saturday night too and almost none of the chicks from Saturday night were present today! And one more surprise that almost none of the chicks from 2 Mondays before were present today. Maybe the chicas are rotating all the time. I do know that there are many chicks in Black who just come once or twice a fortnight.

Interestingly, the clients who were there seemed very happy interacting with "6"s and "7"s! I guess, maybe I have become too picky or in a place like "Black", I expect something more than the ordinary.

Quite the opposite for me. As I have said before, I usually have a great time here. I don't go here expecting to pull anyone out of here, rather to look at outstanding dancers and very attractive well dressed girls. For me it's a show and maybe I get extremely lucky.

I entered around 1:15 and the was a sparse crowd yet plenty to look out. Ordered my corona, which then came in a mug, (switch? For 70 ARS and she said tip was not included. I say give me some time and she then proceeded to earn it by keeping station clean.

Anyway the usual flirting with the eyes, plenty of looks and there were many sold 8 and up present. The quality of girls waere fine. The dancers were really as closed to playboy material, perhaps minus the tits, but great asses, face, and movement. Why I like this place is if you step back and watch you can see beautiful South American girls, 5 at a time on the bar dancing and the movement is sensual, graceful, and professional.

Around 2:15 there was absolutely stunning girls with her friends and I made some small talk, but she was breathtaking as was her friend. She did not really seem to interested in me, but it was great to see a real innocent modelo type.

A little later and here is what I think the true value of this place is about At the end of the bar there were two chicas who all of a sudden started dancing up a storm when some brazilllian music came on. I mean they were shaking their bootys. The other girls were clapping and for about 20 minutes this was what was on. They all forgot about making plays and were only into the music and having fun. I mean I was in Rio again and the mix of the music, girls, costumes, and onda was all good. It was cool.

I was asked once from a girl to buy her a drink, but I said perhaps another night. She was fine and friendly.

So in comparison for my 80 plus 30 taxi I got to see really a great display of South American women, enjoyed the smile and shake routine, and if you don't try to be a player here, rather spectator, I think it beats the Las Vegas Spearmint Rhino, OG scene. I think they give you plenty of entertainment here, first rate.

Repeat you really have to know what you are doing here if not you will find yourself at a table ordering drinks and it will be 400 ars before you know it. Even 1 drink at 140 I don't think buys you much time. I think the girls make it on drinks, and probably are picky about who they leave with. They will definatley hose you here if you do not say exactly what you want. I had 1 drink for the night, sufficient for me.

I shall return, probably Tuesday. Tourism definateley down and obviously effecting the place. When I left there 50 to 10 ratio.

While I read this board frequently, I don't recall anyone pointing out that the chicas are under management directive not to negotiate price until you've bought them a drink. The chica drinks on Monday night were 90 pesos. Who knows what they'll be by this Friday? Big surprise to me and I associate this practice with hardcore scam joints like Play. If this is new, then be forewarned.

Also, be forewarned that the bar fine for taking the girl out is two drinks. I assumed it would be one drink like Madaho's and La Lopez and the Triangle. I am at fault for not checking before buying the first drink.

I got hustled by several chicas, none of whom were tempting except for a cute young Paraguayan and a tanned beauty in a green party dress, N. The Paraguayan followed the house directive and refused to discuss price unless I bought her a drink. I said ciao. N. ,after some urging, relented and negotiated a reasonable peso price not the ridiculous US$ price she was hoping for. During the negotiations, she was casting her eyes around the room anxiously and made me promise not to tell anyone she had agreed on price before the first drink. When the waitress brought the drink, the young Paraguayan still standing nearby was throwing darts at N. with her eyes.

I think business is slow and competition will make the house directive difficult to enforce.

Notwithstanding her stealing a customer from the Paraguayan, N.proved to be a good company girl, urging tips for all the staff and insisting I buy overpriced condoms from the cloakroom girl. (She didn't have any and I had just run out.)

I finally came to my senses in the taxi. N. was beginning to get greedy and was starting an upselling routine about how the agreed price was for basic service only. I didn't wait to listen to anymore of this crap and told the taxi driver to stop. I asked her to get out. She wouldn't budge. We were stopped at Lopez and Junin. There was a line up of taxis at the corner so I graciously stepped out and wished her luck.

I immediately proceeded to the Triangle and encountered one of my favorites from my visit 6 months ago. She looked gorgeous and fresh as an orchid flown from Paraguay. No money or terms were discussed. She gave me one of the best full GFE sessions of my life and stayed in my arms until noon of the next day. Over breakfast, she didn't hit me up for more money; she didn't mention money at all. I slipped her US$100 and a substantial tip.

Everywhere I turned multiple women were trying to catch my attention, strangely enough a bit of a turn off, sort of smacked of desperation. My only other experience in a club in BA has been Ness, which I found to be cheaper, more relaxed, and more like it was set up for locals. All of the music I heard at Black was American dance music which is ok I guess but at Ness most of the music was from BA or at least Latin America. And in comparing the women in Black to Ness, I think there were actually a few more at Ness (aside from Black's dancers) who I would have taken home.

In total I stayed for about 30 minutes at Black, spoke to about 3 women during that time, and since no one thrilled me, I finished my beer that came with the entry fee and took off alone.

Special recognition should be given on two counts. One for knowing when to bail, a mistake so many of have not made before, but also to carry on and rally to find a better chica. And a keeper at that. Kudos to you.

I've really tried to give this place every benefit of the doubt. It has such a lofty reputation. But, I've gone back three separate times on three different trips over the past year. On the first occasion, I found a decent (not stunning) chica but never got past the initial phase of negotiation. I said: 'You get paid at the end.' She insisted on getting paid up front. That wasn't going to happen, so I moved on and eventually left.

The second trip, I also got the fresh meat feeling. Normally, I would think this would be a dream come true but it's somehow uncomfortable. In my experience, it is very much like the boliche's in Brazil, where they can't sit and talk to you until you invite them over. As a consequence, they stare at you intently to try to get that invite. Until you get used to this, it's disconcerting. I spent an hour at Black like this and then left.

This last trip, I simply didn't see anything worth taking out. I would agree with another post earlier that stated that the chicas at Black tend to dress better than at most of the other boliches. But, if you look closely at most of the chicas (past the war paint and the tribal garb) they're not of the caliber you'd expect if you're going to have to part with $200 - $300. On my last trip, there were probably 100 girls and a 5-1 ratio, but there was nothing that sparked much interest. I'm a little picky, but not overly so.

As a consequence, I won't patronize the place again -- not because of prices but because the place lacks quality. Other mongers surely will disagree but, in terms of quality chicas, I've had much better luck at Madaho's and even La Lopez this past trip (August) I know these aren't the most popular places on this board, but if you're looking for a wide array of top caliber girls and don't mind the prices, I think they're both better than Black.

I have yet to step foot in Black. After all this discussion, I want to see it for myself next week. It will probably be my first and last visit. What would be a good day of the week to visit this place?

I concur with BM that Tuesday through Thursday are the best mongering nights at Black (and essentially all Buenos Aires hooker bars) as there are the most chicas available and all the top talent are always on duty those days. However, at Black there should be talent on Friday and Saturday nights as well, because per house rules the chicas must work at least 5 nights per week. As for pricing, you will now have to pay $180 AR in chicas drinks plus the $70 AR mandatory monger's drink in order to get one of the chicas out the door (although the chicas do not have to return, so TLN a possibility) So you are looking at at least $250 AR in fees before the agreed upon chica compensation. A solid stategy to keep pricing from reaching the stratosphere is to open negotiations with the price you are willing to pay. The chica will always try to push for at least $200 USD (more if you let her throw her price out first) but with insisting you can get her down to $150 USD ($450 AR) Market conditions in Black are always in favor of the Mongers and believe me there are plenty of chicas who will go for even less than that, but NEVER for anything less than $100 USD or $300 AR. I was in here with Erkinator recently and he is no prince charming, and he was able to get the girl to go for $450 AR.

Talent can be spotty, my best AND worst experiance came from this place.

As far as the staring though, I wish more clubs adopted this policy. Have a drink at Black then go to Solid Gold then tell me which you prefer. Cattos is ok as it's usually the odd request but some of the other clubs with their steady stream of "buy me a drinks" or in the case of Solid Gold the non stop assault go far beyond nuisance. I'll take the looks and dancing asses an inch from my face any day.

I was there last night got quoted 600ARS for 1hr. All included. BBBJ request was made and the answer was a positvely YES on her part, with much gusto!
