If Exedra changes to a Orleans style pay for play system, I'm sure that many serious mongers will just take a pass on it. Honestly, getting a decent chica for even 150p has been tough there of late.
I'm hoping that my 5 weeks in BA later this month will give me lots of time to explore new places. No park cruising with Mo, though.:)

A large number of these chica were not making a living at Exedra, as I said before they were just hoping for a big score from some dumb Yankee! The ones that are able to move on to big clubs will, but most will go back to just fucking locals, which how they make there “living ”. You need to remember not every club or café will let the in.
BTW the colectivo system in BsAs is pretty good and lots of the mongers on this board ride it, I ’ve been on it several times myself.

They are exceptionally cheap at 90 centavos, often less hassle than the subte, I've never been bothered by anyone and they get you where you are going. As far as the geography between Exedra and Iberia, it's only a matter of blocks! Plus, you can have a nice meal at the old spanish restaurant across the street from Iberia (the name escapes me at the moment-thay also have outdoor tables) As I have said before, there is no good replacement for Exedra, but Iberia will probably be the closest thing you can find. And that said, it may suck.:)

[/QUOTE]So you are saying that if lets say one of Madaho's, Black's or Newports would close down and a new place would be opened up a few blocks away with all of the same ladies and the same types of men frequenting the new place that were in the old place the prices would go down just due to the fact that it is no longer at that original location? Maybe that's too simplistic of a way to comment but I think that is what is being said.
Not that I wold put X's on the same level of the three places above but we all know it was a very well known place just like the three above for meeting chicas.

Many of the ladies that were at X's will start to hangout at the new place. Word will spread quickly I think. At that pont you have only changed the venue and the same games that existed at X's will exist at the new place.
Now I would agree with you if it would only be a very few of the AP or mongering crowd and a few of the ladies. Then the very few of the new ladies would have to compete with the original ladies at the new place.
I think though if the new place sees a large influx of guys to meet ladies on a normal basis as a replacement to X's, things will change at the new place.
Oh and Punter you taught me well on my first visit about the goings on. So I know I am not one of those people you mentioned.

You seem hell-bent on proving that the same pricing structure will follow the girls to Iberia. I agree with you, you can prove this to be the case - by walking into Iberia with the normally allocated 200-300p in your hand and telling the first girl you meet that you are giving her 200-300p for her services. Here is the point: you are the demand, and the girls are the supply. They have virtually no control over the supply, other than limiting the number of newly issued union cards. But you have complete control over your personal demand. If you guys walk into Iberia with the mindset that you will not be paying Exedra prices due to the distance, the color of the walls, or whatever - and prove this by leaving empty handed on more than one occasion, then things will change (or you will have to find a another location with your price-point)
A year ago Iberia was about 80-100p for a very average girl. I do not have recent data. The beauty of BsAs and Argentina is that there is something for everyone - 20p to 2000p. Your money, your dick, be happy!
However, to say that the pricing structure can not be changed is nonsense. Ask any Argentine about lifestyle changes around January 2002. Argentines have proven they can endure hardships, the question remains what has been learned from them.
Guess I will have to head over to Iberia tonight, to prove or disprove my assertions.

I have my theory of BA. In a nut shell it's this -
Sta Fe Avenue - Rich girls that don't have to look good because they are going to marry rich husbands whatever happens. Sloppily dressed and don't give a flying fuck!
Cordoba Avenue - middle class girls working in offices hoping to find a wealthy husband so they dress and produce themselves accordingly - Hot!
Corrientes Avenue - Every girl from the provinces has to have her photo taken on Corrientes with the Obelisco in the back ground to send home to prove she is really in BA. Pathetic!
Avda de Mayo - Sensible girls working as secretaries in legal buffets. Comfortable flat heeled shoes and drab coloured clothes. Most already married to highschool boy friends now plumbers or carpenters or bus drivers. Middle class Wives!
Go a little more South, San Juan or Garay avenues and you'll get fucked for 40 pesos. But don't expect more than ten or twenty minutes from a girl. Don't even mention TLN as her clients barely have ten minutes to fuck before catching the train home and she couldn't even dream of spending a whole night with a client at whatever price. Hey, some of them could look as hot as any Cordoba Av. Girl but they have that beaten down attitude that I call "toothless fucks"
I love Avda de Mayo, and no matter where the girls come from, Exedra, Black or wherever, the pricing will be according to the location. An invasion of gringo mongers may vary a little the pricing but the girls on Avda de Mayo expect to get plumbers and bus drivers as customers and price accordingly.
And Iberia is a good place for the Avda de Mayo experience with quite a few decent priced restaurants around but don't expect much English spoken in the area.
