Way to go! My favorite place no less. I was like you.... $100 US would have been a bargain in the USA so I didn't care. However, if they ask for US Dollars always tell them you don't have any and ask for a Peso price. I can almost guarantee you'll get a lower quote in Pesos. Many first quoted $100 US or 250 pesos. The rate right now is over 3.6 so I don't need to tell you what that translates to.
I do think with the extreme drop of the peso the girls will raise their prices when you pay in pesos. That is to be expected. Also remember that the sheer number of chicas vs. the low number of guys there will keep the prices in check. It's the classic case of supply vs. demand. Also, you'll notice that every day there are new girls on Platynum. I'm sure there are tons of new girls in the clubs. There are simply no jobs there and it's one of the only ways for a pretty girl to make some money.
I'm jealous Yabba! But remember ALWAYS pay in pesos. If the girl gives you any grief just ask her if you are in Buenos Aires or if you are in America?! Many a nights I paid 200 or 300 pesos for a shorter visit (2-3 hours) when I'm sure I could have paid less but I didn't negotiate. It's ok if you're there for only a few days but it will save you a ton as it all adds up. Pay what you think is fair. No matter what anyone says... no one person is gonna ruin the market for others. Somewhere in the reams of messages in WSG, one of our peers said he had good luck just looking at the classifieds. Sure enough, there are several that are cheap cheap...$30 pesos. So I had one come over last week. She came to my hotel, screwed me, gave me a handjob later, and left. For the grand total of 50 pesos..less than $16. Sure it was sight unseen, but she was just fine. One of my BA amigos just told me about this site. It's kind of tricky getting to see all the pictures without registering but the easiest way I found is to go to:

P.S. One of the guys from the board just tried making a reservation at the Etoile for this summer and she quoted 225 pesos + 21% tax for an executive room. I think the laws of supply and demand are working against us on this one. Maybe all these posts talking about the Etoile have caused them to raise their prices a little. Granted there is gonna be an increase because the exchange rate is so damn good but that is still about $15 US more per night than I paid less than a month ago. In my opinion there are better options at the $75 US/night price range.
I mentioned it before but email this girl who lives in BA. She can negotiate a good deal for you at most of the places. She speaks English very well. I tested it out. I had a friend call a hotel that speaks fluent Spanish from the US and got a good rate. Then I had her contact them and she got about $12 US/night off the rate. Every little bit adds up. You can tell her you know "saint" if you want. Or you don't have to.

Hola amigos. My friend who is in Buenos Aires now has been sending me updates. (I'm so jealous it hurts). He bumped into one of my amigas in Playwoman last night and she had good things to say so that was nice to hear. Here is the text of what he wrote:
"The exchange rate is 3.6 so life is good. Food prices are starting to rise. Many menus have new written in prices. Taxi from the airport was 42 pesos instead of 33 last time. Taxis are the same price. 150 pesos seems to be the minimum these days for short time (maybe could negotiate strongly for 100, but probably would affect session quality). I did get a TLN for 200 from a hot girl at Hook last night. So again, prices are about the same.

Sounds like prices are virtually the same from a month ago. I didn't really negotiate so I paid much higher prices but I will negotiate in December when I go back.
Another thing that makes a huge difference is if you can speak some Spanish. It helps tremendously. I speak basic Spanish and it was nice conversing with the girls. My friend is trying to learn basic phrases and learn a ton of vocabulary which he said has made a big difference for him. Even a chica he saw last time told him how big of an improvement his Spanish has taken. I myself am trying to learn and become fluent eventually.
I've enrolled in some intensive classes and bought a pretty cool English-Spanish translators last week. The price was fairly steep at $125. It was a Franklin translator that has a built in audio speaker so it tells you how to say the words too. It also congegates the words. I bought it at OfficeMax in case anyone wants to check it out. I just returned from a week-long stay in BA. During the first couple days of my visit I was lucky enough to hang out with Jackson as he was wrapping up his latest visit to BA.

I don't have many new things to report other than the usual spots are alive and well. I think the only newsworthy bit is that my one trip to Black's proved very dissappointing. They have great girls, but not overwhelmingly better than the other spots. One girl I talked to wanted US $200 and the next one I spoke with would not go lower than US $150. Needless to say, I moved on to other places with equally attractive girls with much better prices.
This attitude from the girls may have been a combination of the fact that is was early in the night (about midnight) and that I was a non-Argentine in a business suit. So, it may have in fact been a wise business decision for them to wait until 2:00 AM or so for another well-to-do foreigner willing to pay that much before lowering their asking price.
On another note, I'm also a frequent reader of the Sao Paulo, Brazil board because I also travel there on business (and with all due respect to the great places and girls in BA, I still think Cafe Photo is the best place in the Americas to pick up a working girl). But I bring up Sao Paulo because I have seen Saint's posts on that board regarding crime and I saw a snippet about BA in the article he posted on the Sao Paulo board:

I guess I didn't even pay attention to that quote about Buenos Aires. That figure is surprising. I don't know if the figure is accurate but I assume it must be close or the paper wouldn't have printed it.
I did not experience or see any crime at all during my 10 day stay in Buenos Aires. Another thing important to note is that I have started talking to many hobbyist that either have been to Argentina or are going to Buenos Aires. NONE of them have experienced any crime first hand or known anyone else that experienced crime. However, I have spoken to SEVERAL guys that have been robbed in Brazil. They were not hurt at all but just robbed.
I do want to go to Brazil sometime still. I might go in December. That post wasn't intended to scare anyone. I just firmly believe in the flow of intelligent conversation. Hopefully the economic situation will stabilize a little. It doesn't make sense to hope the peso keeps drastically falling. Sure it helps us but the outcome could make it a less desirable place to visit long-term. Good luck guys.
