600 pesos at today's exchange rate of 3.85 is equivalent to 450 pesos at 2.85 a couple years ago. Which is what the chicas at Madahos were asking then. The improved exchange rate has pretty much cancelled inflation.

Considering you can probably negotiate 600 down to 500 ($130 US) in most cases, it's not bad.

400 is really pushing it, I'm not surprised she tried again to get more.

I was in BA about 3 weeks ago and just getting around to posting to my trip.

This is still my favorite spot in BA and I like it significantly more than the other big clubs. Tons of pretty girls and the best atmosphere. It always feels like you are walking into a normal bar and there is not a huge separation of girls and guys. If you can only go to one spot this is the one.

At Madahos you don't feel like you are there just to find a girl and go back to your hotel. It is very comfortable to have a drink or 5 and watch the show and then grab a girl. The shows are ok and the dancers put on a good show.

There are 2 things about Madahos that I can never get over. First, is when the announcer says "Momento de Show". I feel like changing my ringtone to this and every time I hear it I smile. Second, I can never get over that they play the same freaking sports bloopers videos from the 90s. They are so old that I can't believe they are on dvd and completely irrelevant as none of the clips are from the last 15 years. I laugh everytime I see them just because it kills me to think that management (who I love) made a decision that these will entertain our guests. Sorry to vent but if you've been here more than a couple times I have to believe you have thought the same thing.

The girls at Madahos have gotten a little more aggressive and I was definitely approached more this time than in the past. The economy and the swine flu scare definitely had impacted the amount of customers in the place. Almost all girls would leave for anything within reason and I had a great time each time.

Many pretty girls but if I have to complain I wish there were more new girls that cycled in the place. It is always nice to see some new talent and there really hasn't been that much in the last year. Still the highlight of every trip to BA for me is my time at this place.

Last night I took a late 20's spinner named Cecily out of Madaho. She was pushing the local transito rather than my hotel which to me was ok. When we arrived at the transito check in window, Cecily cut in front of me, greeted the woman behind the glass and passed to this woman what appeared to be a small black card - 3 inches x 3 inches. I thought it odd, but asked the woman for the $90 room, the least expensive. She told me they were sold out and the next price - $120 - was available. I paid and went up to the room.

When we were done and riding the elevator down to leave the transito, Cecily asked me for the tarjeta - the room card. I gave it to her, thinking nothing about it. She went to the window, slipped the tarjeta thru and the woman passed back the small black card which I then saw was actually an envelope with a couple of peso bills stuffed inside.

I was impressed with the simplicity of the con. Argentine ingenuity at its finest.

This isn't a con. The fuck are you talking about? She gets a commission from the provider she uses. So what? Every single boliche in BA does this. Black has a transitorio about two blocks from Madahos, The girls from Black usually insist on going there. Though they will go to anyone, they obviously prefer going somewhere where they get a small commission. This is common practice in just about ANY business (commission on refferals?)

It's just mind boggling how cheap some people can really be.

So the honest real world cost should be $600 AR to pull a chica out of this place, all included. That is $155 USD at today's exchange rate; let's compare this to other places in top monger spots.

At Help in Rio de Janeiro, the top-end girls will go for R$ 300, the entrance free is R$ 40, and just say R$ 40 for drinks (drinks at Help are not ripoff prices) That is R$380, which is $208 USD at today's exchange rate (keep in mind that this is for TLN, whereas at Madahos typically the price is for an hour)

At Fase 2 in Medellin, it is 150,000 COP to bang any of the girls (set price) on site, with no additional cost for the room. If you want to take them off premises, it is an additional 150,000 COP fee. There is a 10,000 COP entrance fee and typically drinks might add up to 30,000 COP. At today's exchange rate that is $95 USD, all included to bang the girl onsite. For the average fly in monger that isn't fluent in Spanish, If you don't count the motel, I'd say $ 500 pesos for a chica and $ 200 for the entrance and drink at best. Or just about $ 180 US. You're on point about $ 300 pesos on their days off though.

I would just like to add particularly from the point of a newbie, that you would get a better return for the value of 155 Us$ spent in top notch "Cathouse" place in Cali, Barranquilla, Rio THAN in Madhaos (BA) This holds good particularly if you look like a typical foreigner and have a very weak ability with Spanish/Portuguese. Its more easy to get a TLN for 155$ or so in Cali or Barranquilla or Help (Rio) with a chica of equal looks THAN in Madhaos. Its more easy to get a GFE from the above mentioned cities THAN in Madhaos.

Yes, if you live in BA. You speak Spanish. You are a regular of Madhaos. The equation changes! You get great deals with chicas ex Madhaos. No doubts about that!!

However, in my opinion, the best value for your dollars in BA for a Newbie, non-Spanish speaking monger is in the BA privados in microcentro.

However, Madhaos must be experienced for the sake of experiencing it. And their is no doubt about the fact that their are some v good looking chicas available there. However, whether the experience would turn out to be good, it depends on many many factors!
