Yeah, Buenos Aires has it´s stunning women, which are known around the world, but I´ve been amazed at the number of beauties in Santiago. The women of Bs As mostly stike me as Italian and Spanish wonders. There are some of those (mostly Spanish) in Santiago, but the real stunners and suprises are, I agree, of German extraction. I´ve been amazed at the number of real blond-haired, blue-eyed beauties I´ve met there. I'm one of the guys who's reviewed the place on La Pampa, it's called Nuevo Estilo Boliche, at least that's what they called it last year. It's on the corner of La Pampa and Figeroa Alcorte Ave (think that's the cross street) and I highly recommend it. It's exactly as you said, pool table with a bar and strip show including some great lesbianism on stage with real cuties doing 69 and various other giving-receiving positions. The street is French (named for a person, that's why it's French and not Francia) and the address is 2254. You have to call the madam, Miriam, in advance at 4825-9370. We arrive around 10 and the doorman tells us they won't open for an hour or so. Oscar wants me to see this place as well as the place Estilo Nuevo Boliche on Pampa, says I'll like Rosis more. Figuring its too early to go to either boliche, Oscar takes me on a brief sex tour of the city streets, while we talk about different attitudes towards purchased sex in the US and in Argentina. He can't believe it when I tell him that, in some cities, the cops bust the johns and put their names in the papers. I suppose I can't either.

The place has no name, but is at 554 Marcelo T. de Alvear. Orleans is at the corner of San Martin and Cordoba. Standing in front of Oreans, walk away from Cordoba two blocks on San Martin, and turn left on Marcelo T de Alvear. 554 is half way up the block on the left. I haven't checked it out, but will do so soon.

Can you remember the street in which Rosis was? As far as I know, Florida is a town in the Vicente Lopez district (north of the Capital Federal, just crossing the Av General Paz). At least since 1995, the district has been dangerous at night, so I would check twice if Rosis is in Florida. Can you ask Oscar next time you see him?
(by the way, for those of you who don't know, the Av. General Paz separates the Capital Federal from the Buenos Aires province, and you cross it every time you go from Ezeiza to Downtown).
From the way you describe the TV action, you were cruising Godoy Cruz St. Was there a high wall on the left street side? If so, I bet my bank account it was Godoy Cruz St near Paraguay St.
I saw several years ago the place on 554 MT Alvear, but never entered for 2 reasons:
- No many patrons going in and out, what is strange if the place provides good selection or quality.
- It is located almost in front to the Plaza Hotel, one of the most expensive hotels in Buenos Aires, so it may be a tourist or executives trap.

I agree with you in many things. However, I wouldn't recommend a foreigner from the US to drive in Argentina. We are very dangerous drivers and we don't respect lines in avenues or streets.
I also agree on your perception of anger respect to foreigners. Under a skin of pleasantry and openess to the foreigner, many people blame everybody but themselves as the cause of the crisis: Government, foreign coutries, executives, union leaders, politicians, etc. It's easy to blame others, and when histories of Argentines being deported appear in the newspapers, they elicit scornful comments from locals.
This is a word of wisdom for happy BA travelers: Don't believe 100% if people seem happy with foreigners. We used to be a very stuck-up, arrogant latin american society, specially porteños. I don't mean that you should be unhappy, by all means ENJOY!, but take attitudes with a grain of salt.
In your corolary, you explain perfectly why many girls are REALLY tempted to ask "the sun and the moon" to a horny foreign monger: If she could strip U$S100 more, she covers herself a whole month of expenditures.
