FYI On Callao near Arenales, prices have gone up. I was quoted 190$ for 30 Magnus and 170 for some other generic brand.
Another place up the street was even worse at 106$ per box of 20 non-Magnus.
I have a US prescription for Caverject, a sort of injectable viagra. (Yes, I know what you're thinking! But actually it doesn't hurt and makes one Superman (man of steel:-) for a couple hours every time!
Anyway, does anyone know of a pharmacia in BA which carries it?

Lion[/QUOTE]Not sure about the farmacia, but they have a topical creme as a substitute for Caverject. It's in a tube and labeled Ben-Gay. The name Ben-Gay is castellano for "really hard dick creme".

I noticed that prices had gone up on my recent visit. I bought a box of 50 (50 mg) Sandoz for 177p at the Nueva Farmacia at 876 Cordoba a couple of weeks ago. I could have done better at the pharmacy at 901 Corrientes (at Suipacha) but they were out of stock.
How often do people get asked for prescriptions? I got told I needed a prescription at a place that sold me cialis 3 months ago but asked for a prescription for Magnus. Where should I go for the least amount of hassle?

On Cordoba, there are two places, that I know of.
This is one the other is three blocks down across from the Galeria Pacifico.

I went to Azul last week and the price I got was a lot higher than posted here. I asked for the cash price and I got 10 x 100 mg Magnus for 96.30. I think the 50mg was just a little cheaper - so as usual it is best to buy the largest mg size and then break it into two if need be.
I asked for a larger count but the largest they has was 10.
I also discovered the 100mg is not chewable like the 50mg. I think the chica thought this dude has some funky breath!
With Magnus, the chewable is white and the non-chewable is purple. Shane

Bought 100 tabs of 50 mgs, for 259 Ars. One year ago, the same would have cost 208 Ars.
Paid in cash. I believe the discounted prices must be paid in cash.
The brand name is "sandoz" purple colored. Can be chewed or taken with water. Does not have a great taste for chewing.
No side effects. Very smooth and quick acting. Good enough for 2-3 hours.

I usually just walk into a small pharm and ask for the product at the drug counter or sometimes I take a printout of the drug name and mgs. Pharmacity is the only place I have been turned down, so I never go there anymore. There are two small pharmacies less than a block from Jackson's apartment I use all the time. Have just walked down Cordoba from Florida and hit one or two drug stores and almost never get turned down.

That is a great price. In the US six 50mg tabs (w / o a health insurance subsidy) is approximately $100.00. I should be smuggling it back to the USA!
The best prices that I've found are simular to Sid's but at a pharmacy on Larrea and a few blocks east of Santa Fe (towards Las Heras) they have kept my script on file for some time and renewels are no problems. I buy boxes of 50 50mg by Sandoz and some blue chew ables made in Argentina.
With the cash discount, it works out to about us$1.40 or so per 100 mg's the quality is good and the pharmacist remembers me. So he'll oder from their wharehouse the large boxes of 50 to get me the best price.
Amazing--10% of the cost in the USA from a major international lab like Sandoz.

Ok, just went to a pharmacy round the corner from me, bought 4 cialis tablets (20mg) in box, cost 150 pesos! Thats just under 40pesos per pill, as expensive as the UK. I think it was just a generic 'Farmacia' or something. I got a receipt, paid cash.
Did I just get seriously ripped off? Is there another brand which I should be asking for which makes exactly the same product?

The only place where I have seen generic C is in Asucion. Here in BsAs you will find only the original, which goes for about $50/ pill according to the last information I have heard. As far as I know this has to do with the patent which is still valid on C. However in PY they copy all the vitamins;)
If you know somebody who goes to Asucion soon they can try to buy it there and bring it back for you.
Cheers seaman, I read some pretty wild things about generic brand drugs where the patent is still valid so think ill stick with paying ridiculous amounts for the real C - but from what I can tell V still has its patent so the generic V's may not be entirely safe? If I remember correctly Cialis was a few dollars cheaper in B. A. than in the U. S.
Regarding bringing Viagra back into the US, it is illegal. Any drug that you bring back that you do not have a prescription for is illegal. Of course you can risk it but for me it is not worth it. What they will do is unknown, but I would suspect you would be subject to a fine.
Regarding the purchase price, I can recall reading some time ago that you should ask for Sandoz. It is generic Viagra and the price is significantly different. Pills come in 50 mg. The price I paid was about $30.00 USD for 100 tablets. That makes it about 30 cents a tablet.

Ely Lilly, the manufacturer of Cialis (Tadalafil) is protected by patent through 2016. That said, there are plenty of companies offering 'generic cialis' for sale. The problem here, as with any counterfeit drugs, is that they could be fake or dangerous. There is no guarantee that you will get anything similar to Cialis. That said, it is entirely possible that outside the US, you might be able to find reasonable facsimiles on the market (that violate Lilly's patent) that provide similar performance (I will spare you the discussion of how that impacts drug prices in the USA)
For US$5-US$8/20mg tablet in Bs As you can by Eli Lilly brand Cialis (unless it counterfeit--this is Argentina after all)
The USA patents may differ from patents in other places in the world. In argentina viagra has been off patent for years.
I generally buy Sandoz Labs generic in Argentina. Sandoz is a large well respected Swiss lab with factories in Brazil. It is approxomately 75cents us for 50 50mg tabs in a box of 50. I am trying the Cipla becuase folks buy it in BA and say it seems to be the same thing. Cipla sells a number of generic products in the usa. Why does sandoz viagra in argentina sell for 10% of the price of the brand in the usa? Corruption?
