Cafe Orleans during the day can be really interesting. Try from 1:30 on. I like this daytime option better than the apartments. It's all about the hunt. You've got to watch them awhile to figure out which one is a closet nose picker. If they squirm in their seats they are usually either horny or got some wierd stuff going on downstairs. (probably the later)
The good ones, and yes there are a few, like to go to a local transitorio especially if they don't know your hotel or you are in a private apartment.
The transitorio isn't a bad place $45 pesos. Try to talk the chica into splitting the cost or better yet reducing her price the $45 pesos for your inconvenience.

It's been a few months since my last visit. Past times were slow, so I was surprised today when there was nary a seat to be had at a table. I settled in at the bar. About a 50/50 ratio with a few (2,3) quite young things by their lonesomes. The usual come-hither stares from some of the regulars. Management isn't shy about pricing with a cortado at 5+pesos. Didn't see anything packing a knockout punch although at least a half dozen were doable. Left solo.

Interested to read your survey. My 4 pesos was for a small black cafecito. My mistake was I ordered it and drank it before 4 pm and paid after 4 pm. Wasn't too pleased being a regular customer.
In my visit to BA, Cafe Orleans is an excellent spot to conduct 'interviews'. I prefer it to any of the other set-ups - but each has their own taste.

Due to moderate intoxication. I will say I had a nice stroll (first time) to Orleans today and was rather taken back.
I suppose I expected something like Del Rey, or Grace Hotel Coffee shop, (for the garishness) something screaming 'pussy for sale within'. It's not like that at all, I fumbled through the door into a weird mix of linolium and wood, smoke hanging in the air, middle aged waiters with thick bodies or thick glasses.
I got some average champagne (40 peso for 1/2) and sat down in the corner. The gals were just on a different level to the girls I normally seek out in Philippines or Cambodia. No 18yo honeys here - instead I found myself getting turned on to the 'screw your best friends mum' fantasy.
These girls (4pm - Thursday) had huge chests, but their faces didn't quite engender as much lust. Some awfuly strange looking sandwiches were placed in front of me and I kept to my drink, finished and (sigh) left.
I have more hopes for Excedra (or whatever the name of the night-time coffee shop is)

I took a stroll thru Cafe Orleans with El Grandote one day and Punter127 another day. We found the chicas to be greatly improved from previous trips. The price is generally higher than we normally like to pay, but with the downturn at some of the other local cafe's and bar's, this may be our next fishing hole! The chicas range IMHO 6s, 7s and so.
