That's fine, its your choice. Just like its my choice to give a tip when I feel like it.
I've worked for tips before and was always happy to receive one. I thought people who tipped well were more were generous, and gave them a little extra effort if I could. Like there was a woman that I delivered pizzas to that used to give me $5 a pie when she ordered food for her kids, and so I would make sure her food got there as fast as I could. Its not to say that I didn't treat my other customers well, but when you work a 8 hour shift, not everyone gets 110%.
