Buenos Aires - 2002 Reports

Quick update. Just got done eating with UWPhoto and Kick Stand. We ate at the Parilla close to the internet cafe. I just booked a session from a girl from Platynum for Kick Stand. 2 hours for 200 pesos. I´m really gonna miss this place. We just ran into an American while I was saying goodbye to my amiga that works at the restaurant. He has been here 6 times. Sounds like he loves it here too. I used my phone a ton but I don't think it's expensive. I gave the girl $60 and told her to give the rest to the maid.

(Funny side story. The first morning when I checked in there was only one towel. I immediately called down and told the lady that answered the phone I would need at least 3 more towels. The lady speaks very good English. She says, "do you have 4 people staying in the room?" I tell her "no" but I take a LOT of showers...ha, ha. She immediately had the maid come up with more towels. I tried to give the maid $1 US and she said it wasn't necessary but I saw her eyeing the money like it was her new best friend. I told her to keep bringing me more towels every morning when she cleans the room. She did. That's why I left her a good tip.

When you call Mayri ask her to have the driver with the Mercedes pick you up. (Sergio Alvaro Movil #03). He gave me his card and car # so I'll post it tonight. This guy was very nice, spoke English and his car was totaly luxury. S500 series Mercedes Benz. 45 pesos to the airport but I gave him 65 pesos which he was very happy about.

I'll definitely be back in Buenos Aires for 15-16 nights in December if any of you want to hang out. I probably will go back down for the long Thanksgiving weekend too. Here is my itinerary for December trip:

Fly to Mar Del Plata 26th. In MDP 26, 27, 28 check out 29th

In BA: 29th and check out 30th for Brazil.

I'm gonna be in Brazil 30th, 31, 1, 2

FYI: I just got an email from Kick Stand. I guess he didn't click with Sandy. To make matters worse..she showed up alone without Gema. That really sucks. Poor guy.

I just had a chance to look at some of my pictures from my digital camera. The pictures of the 2 girl turned out really good because I noticed I had my digital camera on the regular resolution setting before they came. I changed it to the highest setting before they came. Some of the pictures didn't turn out that great. Oh well. Some of the two girl pictures (Sandy and Gema) turned out really good.

One thing I want to stress over and over is to learn some Spanish if you can. It will make your trip much better. I had a ton of fun joking around with the girls in the club and in my room. I've only been really studying hard for 3 months but am close to conversational. Maybe in a few months I'll be totally conversational. I just need to learn more vocabulary. I already learned present, past and future tenses. I hope by December I'll be totally conversational. Someday I hope to be fluent.

I really want to move to Buenos Aires. If I was anywhere near my retirement I would do it in a heart beat...and not just for the chicas. A world class city that has everything. Contrary to news reports it's a safe city if you stay within the city. There is crime outside the city but Recoleta is another world in itself.

I can't get BA out of my head. When I arrived in my office and was reading my email I already had an email from the girl I clicked with from Hook's.

If you speak Spanish you'll be in heaven in BA. Mine still is not that good and it has helped me meet normal chicas. I felt really bad though with the girl I've been talking to from Amigos.com. Trust me...she is totally smoking and she sent me a sad email asking why I didn't meet her or make any attempt to call her while I was in Buenos Aires. I feel horrible. Oh well....the thoughts of all the time I spent with the other chicas help me. It was time well spent.

I forget to mention. While I was at the airport I had about 450 pesos left so I decided to do a little shopping. I make it upstairs when I see this smoking hot chic in the perfume store. There was some promotion going on for Armani perfume and cologne. I didn't need any cologne but you can bet all your pesos that I was gonna talk to this girl. Oh man..she was smoking. She was wearing this red dress. She was model material. I went up to her and smelled the cologne and bought a big bottle...LOL. I also bought another bottle of cologne from her. We started talking and then she casually asks me if I needed some Armani perfume for my "novia". I tell her I don't have a novia. Her English was very good. I ask her if she has a novio and she says no. I joke that she doesn't have one novio but probably many boyfriends. She laughs. She gave me her email address so I hope I can hook up with her in December. Guys if you speak Spanish..don't hesitate to talk to normal girls too if that is your thing. My only hesitation is that there is so much action available in BA that is a sure thing...why mess around with the normal girls?

Some other things you should note. Many of the internet girls (Area-vip, Platynum, et. al) were not in BA. Some of the numbers were disconnected, some were on vacation, some moved. In fact, some of the ones that I wanted to see the most were not there. Another thing you should note that YMMV (your milage may vary) still comes into play with the girls of BA just like anywhere else in the world. Some guys might click with some girls better than others. The case with Kick Stand shows that. Over all though...I think anyone would have a blast in BA.

P.S. Even though some of the girls don't care about me posting and telling my amigos about them....PLEASE do not tell them you read about them on the internet. It might freak them out. Some know the drill but others do not. Use your heads!

The clubs weren't as good this trip but still usually a hottie or two in each club. Still more girls in BA than any one guy could see. I paid MUCH less this trip. Last time I was a bit overwhelmed by the prices and didn't care. This time I tried to stick to a budget and did quite well. When I went before the exchange rate was 3.05 - 3.15 and I still paid upwards of 250-300 pesos for short time sessions and up to 500 pesos for all nighters till the next afternoon. This trip the average session was 200 pesos (at an exchange rate of almost 3.60 pesos to the $1 US). Even my 2 girl session was only 400 pesos for both girls. The same thing in the US would cost at least $600 US per hour.

Now, I don´t normally discuss stuff like this because it seems like bragging. But, Saint, UWPhoto, and Latasian seemed to think it was funny so I thought I´d share it with you guys.

I pulled a "UWPhoto crap shoot" and found an agency an
ordered some room service.

JACKPOT!!! Luciana. Blond, maybe 5'5. 90-60-90. Very

I'm staying at the Torres de Manatianles. Booked
through Mayra. For 2 nights, $312(more or less) pesos.
VERY nice place. Huge apartment 2-bedroom, yes TWO,
room. One queen and 2 singles. Spa facilities, 2
resturaunts, game room, pub, etc. I'd stay here again.
In the Argentine summer. One problem is that few of
the staff speak english. They DO have people that
speak it but not as many as I saw in BA. The price you
pay, I guess. Room service was a challenge but I
weathered the storm.

Thanks for posting for me. You guys were great to hang out with. Well, when we actually got together at the same time. HA!!! Here's one that I'm not sure was posted yet.

This happend on last Monday. Saint was leaving that day, so it was just UWPhoto, Latasian, and myself. We all wanted some early action so we met at Cutty Sark (opens at 4pm, I believe). Ran into another US hobbyist, Jeff, there and had a good time talking with one of the ladies there. Pickings were slim because it was early. Started picking up around 6pm.

Realizing that UWPhoto and Jeff were not going to make the move on the fun and attractive lady we were talking to, I gave Latasian the first window of opportunity before I made my move: 10 secs. He took it.

I thoroughly explain the situation:

UWPhoto: "Damn! See you in 2 hours. We'll be at Catto's"
Me: "Cool. Later."

We get back to my hotel and I can tell that this isn't going to be that good a session. The girl, can't remember her name, was very attractive. Tall, slender, shoulder length black hair, and tanned skin. Very attractive. And she knew it. The first thing she does when she get's into my room is jump in front of a mirror. Oh, well. I'll fix that.

Not a very memorable session. She wasn't into it and when she realized that she couldn't make me shoot the goal quickly, she wanted to leave. I was not in the mood to argue because I had just had killer sex an hour before. An hour and a half total. Oh, well. NEXT!!

Not wanting to miss this opportunity, I hit up UWPhoto

After turning down 2 selection, I settled on another

Damn I'm weak. I just found a GREAT fare through a ticket consolidator for Thanksgiving weekend. I almost pulled the trigger last night and bought tickets to Cancun for Cuba or to Costa Rica because the sale price for Buenos Aires was still over $700 from my city. An amigo just told me about this website that books trips to Buenos Aires for cheap. Check it out:

Man...they are good. I got my ticket (I don't live on East coast and fares from my city are usually expensive). My total with ALL taxes and fees was $530 That is the cheapest ticket I've ever gotten to BA. So looks like I'll be back to BA yet again on Thanksgiving Day (November 28th). I'll be there only for 3 nights. I'll leave at 11 PM on December 1st.

I already had Mayri (mayra@argentinago.com) book my room at Design Suites. $60 US + 21% tax. I'm checking out at 6 PM my final day and paying 1/2 the rate. It's a good option because I can still see 2 girls my final day there. Guys, always ask to do this so you can see chicas up to the last minute. My last two trips I've seen girls up to 30 minutes before my driver picked me up to take me to my hotel.

Also, I was discouraged because I've been trying for weeks to get tickets for Christmas/New Year's Eve to Buenos Aires. The fares were sky high. Last night when I checked the dates I wanted were $1600. Yikes!!!! I even checked with the ticket consolidator and they said $1624 because my dates were almost completely sold out. She suggested flying to Miami and taking Aerolines Airlines. Round trip to/from Miami was $739. Think about it if you live in Miami. I was just about ready to book it and use frequent flyer miles for my city to Miami when I decided to check American Airlines one last time.

Sure enough..website was still spitting back fares of at least $1500 + for my travel dates. I decided to just call American on the phone even though the webfares on website are always cheaper. I'm damn glad I did! The agent got me round trip tickets for $1087 with all taxes/fees. It was going to be $1394 to come back Saturday, January 4th but it was $300 less to come back a night sooner so I gotta give up one night in Paradise. FYI..I tried all the discount websites too...(Priceline, Orbitz, Hotwire, et. al). All were spitting out high fares.

Anyone dated girls from www.rubro59.com (you have to register, but it's painless)? They include prices (most between US$22-27/hr. I just got back from my first trip to BA, and I sure miss it. It was more than just the great senoritas at give-away prices, but being in a beautiful and great city.

To those who may be holding back from going by the grim news reports about political instability and economic depression, I would say that is not a reason to avoid BA. The residents do not take out their anger on visitors, and are unfailingly polite and helpful. I felt safe enough to walk around with my video camera during the day, and at night cannot believe there will be problems if you stay in good areas frequented by lots of people.

In six days, I was with six women, and was happy with all the encounters. Excluding tips for some of them, I spent a grand total of 170 USD on them! Was happy with what I found at 563 Tucuman, La Pampa 687, and the Affaire on Pueyrredon, where you are basically paying 20 USD. Liked the looks of all of them, they were all friendly and sweet, and got at least some BBBJ from most of them (Got a lot from Roxanna at La Pampa, and Gaudelupe at Affaire). All these places have a slightly raffish atmosphere that I like, and all are perfectly safe.

My remise driver took me to a penthouse apartment in Belgrano, where he said there were four girls with prices of 40, 60, 80, and 100 USD. I had this question answered previously. It means the girl won't perform anal sex. As I recall from reading the girls' ads. it is unusal for girls on this site (sensualbaires) to not offer that service.

I'm glad you had a good time. I had a similar experience on my first visit to BA. Of course I expected the worse. I had known Brazil much better and allowed myself to be influenced by the Brazilians rather unkind caricature of Argentines.

I was delighful shocked by how sensuous and beautiful Argentine women are. While much more reserved than Brazilians they are every bit as sexy.

For what it's worth, believe it or not, I never HAD to pay for a good time in BA. If you take your time and hang around some of the cafe along and behind Avenida Florida, you will eventually run into a REAL date. Of course I am assuming that you speak at least some Spanish. That would really help. But many speak some halting English. Almost all have invited me to their homes.

While I was never asked for money, I aways left some behind. And if my date refused and I knew where she lived, I always sent some kind of gift. Argentine women love clothes. They have a keen sense of fashion. It delights them that you would give them something like that. And you'll find them most appreciative!

I didn't have time to check out all those girls you posted but I did see your #2 choice in the Lobby of the Etoile hotel this last trip. I was in one of my buddies rooms. I actually called Barbarella and set up the appointment for him. I negotiated 200 pesos for 2 hours. She told him to call her and confirm the day of. When he called to confirm she talked him into doing a two girl with her friend.

I was in Cuba a year ago and posted to the Havana board about my experiences. The people, the place, the
chicas etc are great and a must visit now - as soon as Castro goes Havana will change and probably end up like

I stayed at the Castelar in June and if I had it to do over, I'd have picked Art Suites or Design Suites. Reason? I spent MOST of my time doing threesomes and they only allow one chica at a time. So, I spent a lot of money on short stay hotels. Art Suites or Design Suites would have provided greater flexibility and lowered my daily room cost--Castelar PLUS short stays for two chicas. Also, they're much newer and nicer. And, lets not forget the $10 charge every time I brought a chica to the Castelar.

Another problem I had was with girls and ID's. I had SEVERAL occassions were the girls I called from Clarin (quite cute when I met them in the lobby) or girls I met at Playwoman, Solid Gold, etc. didn't have an ID that the hotel would accept, even though I asked in advance. So, off to a short stay hotel, AGAIN. One evening the night desk guy (aka ass.wipe) was quite rude, to the point where the next day I told the manager that he almost permanently lost an employee that night. Honestly guys, I would have THOROUGHLY enjoyed the sound of hearing his joints snap..., but my limited Spanish would put me at a distinct disadvantage when dealing with the BsAs authorities. I wasn't going to announce this until it was completely ready, but I'm signing a 2 year lease on a three bedroom apartment in Recoletta beginning October 1st. I debated on whether to post this but I'm going to in the interests of knowledge is power. During one of my sessions with the chicas from the clubs my last trip I wanted to practice my Spanish so I ask her all this stuff about the club. I ask her what the downsides are. Oh man. She gave me all this information on how the clubs can be an evil place for a girl.

She told me how prostitution is technically illegal in Buenos Aires. (I didn't know that). All the clubs have to pay bribes to the police to let them operate. Not only that but she said if the police feel like they're not getting enough money, they demand free sex with the girls. If the girls refuse, the owners of some of the clubs tell them they can't work there. I didn't know if she was telling me the truth or not but I could see the girl didn't have any reason to lie.

Tonight I ask one of my friends that works in the clubs. She confirmed that everything the girl said was true. She said that when she worked at Black's last year she had to have sex free with a police officer. Not only that but once when she refused, the police hit her in the face and took her money.

On the other hand she did mention that many of the girls like the police and some of the girls even have police as boyfriends in case they get into trouble or if they get ripped off by clients or have "problems" with clients.

The only reason I mention this is because the next time you feel like these girls are making alot... think about all the crap they have to go through too. Also, I don't think it's a problem with Americans and more so with the native men of Argentina but if you ever think about ripping off a girl know that you might have to deal with her "boyfriend" who may be a cop. Not good.

Re: prostitution being illegal in BA: I've also had similar conversations with Natalia who's on Platynum.com and escortsbaires.com and other sites, and she's told me that it's not illegal for a woman to have sex for money out of her apartment but it is illegal for there to be a brothel apartment where there are multiple girls and the apartment's being used specifically for selling sex which is something you see quite a lot of in BA. Natalia told me that a lot of the ads in Clarin and La Nacion in the classified section will lead you to places that have multiple chicas. I will be very definitely interested in your new apartment for sometime next year, so keep me posted. Might be a month or so in 2003. As far as I can tell, there are no bad addresses in Recoleta. Unless I found a girlfriend there, I doubt I would even use it bring women home. To take sips out of the BA fire hydrant at a more leisurely pace will be nice.

The card I have says Confiteria "Nuevo Estilo". It is at 687 La Pampa, almost at the end on the river side. I came at about 6 p.m., and there were 4-5 girls, two of whom lit my fire. The issue of Prostitution as a legal activity in Argentina is complex. There are many aspects that contribute to the picture. I will try to mention some so you can get a broad idea.

1) As far as I know, there is a anti-prostitution act called Profilaxis Act. For a hygienity sake, prostitution is forbidden as a commercial activity and you cannot set a brothel and make money from it ("legally", of course...)

2) Personal privacy at home is supposed to be paramount. Unless the police has a court order for searching your home, you can do anything in your realm. That makes single-girl services "almost legal", since it is unlikely that girls can be chased that way (unless neighbors complain very loudly in the courts, in which case the police gets involved). Usually, girls are discouraged of continuing their business by threats from landlors to evict them or not renew the lease contracts, since many of these girls are pretty delinquent in their lease payments (they don't receive a continuous stream of income).

3) Outcall services are very difficult to catch or prove as working as SPs, so it is almost impossible for LE to bust them. Unlike in the US, there isn't enough budget for LE to cover even the minimum security expenditures for fighting serious crimes (murders, robberies, etc) so there is no money for LE to go behind these girls by setting expensive outcall services investigations. If there were lots of money available to LE, perhaps the situation would approach that of America.

4) The economic and social unrest of Argentina was ever present, although in the past the hardship didn't use to be as serious as today. This "ubiquitous poverty" status made the society disregard prostitution as a problem that really deserved attention. Also, unemployment, violence, state-run terrorism during military dictatorships and other tragic issues made prostitution a minor problem. That's why people don't worry about it, but people have some legal tools to deal with the problem if they were really interested.

5) Girls sitting in bars without rooms aren't doing anything illegal unless they mention their services and prices explicitly. Since they exert caution, it is almost impossible to legally bust them in places like Sodoma, Playwoman, Blacks and the like. However, if the police doesn't receive a bribe from the bar's owners, the officers can start noticing violations to the commercial and construction codes and ask their friends in the city hall to shut down those bars or pubs that don't "contribute to the cause". Said that, sitting in one of these bars is not illegal, nor leaving with a girls who didn't explicitly said that she would have sex for money, but the police would molest the patrons so they don't return to the non-contributing bars (stopping taxis outside of the building and searching for drugs and weapons, for instance).

6) Since many bars and brothels owners pay bribes, they feel that they deserve the right to offer other services, such as selling drugs to custmers. That creates an opportunity to the police to bust a place and harass a patron if ht eplace is found selling drugs.

In few words: Prostitution is illegal (at least in high scale), but police only cares about their additional income from bribes (not for justifying the budget, as in the US), and the society is too much worried about unemployment and violence to pay atention to such minor issues.

Respect to horror stories suffered by the girls, you will find several articles in Argentine newspapers (issued 1 or 2 months ago) mentioning the desperate situation of many Dominican girls who were kept in semi-slavery conditions in some brothels in Mar del Plata. However, I know a girl who made some respectable income from the hobby, so not all the stories are sad.

I have a question for recent (post devaluation) hobbyists to BA....

You read in the press about pensioners turning to the hobby to survive and in some recent posts about girls going to Chile because the business is down in Argentina....also it seems less girls in the top tier "pro" places like Blacks then before. Buenos Aires on Sale


Argentina on Sale: Several of us who travel to Argentina regularly have talked about the spectacular bargains available in Buenos Aires right now. To give you a better idea of costs, I have pulled together an approximate price list. Prices are in USD and are current as of 8/15/02....(1USD=3.56pesos)

Note:Chica prices are not included since they are highly variable..... if you do 3 per day and like to party in chica bars (boliches) ...add $200plus per day. If you buy the minimum number of drinks necessary to buy one chica out of a bar and take her to your room for 1-2 hours add $60USD...most of us fall somewhere in between.

I heard that many more girls than before were seen sitted at tables in cafes and bars waiting for guys, specially after dark, in a kind of semi-pro action. Something similar to Cafe Orleans but less obvious.

However, I didn't pay much attention to them. First, as one monger wrote in costaricasex.com, "I pay the girls not only to get laid but also to leave". As semi-pros, girls may attach emotionally to you, something I consider not funny at all. Second, there are so many places to get "monger fun" with reasonable safety that I wouldn't risk to take a girl for a "journey to the unknown". Although it's very unlikely that a semi-pro girl would kidnap or intoxicate me to steal my kidneys or eyes, I feel safer inside the "traditional circuit". Third, I like to see girls in suggestive clothes and apparel. T-shirts and loose blue jeans are not very appealing to me.

Respect to GFE, I think that you will find more now than before, but you will notice that the looks of girls have decreased. Also, I heard in one of the Suipacha St. bars that it's very unusual to see local patrons.

I think Buenos Aires will be closer to Cuba than before respect to the hobby, but it won't reach the cuban level in the short run.
