Orleans, an interesting niche
Don't think Pamela was there when I was last week, but Sol came over to chat for a spell and took her number. The place is great for those occassions when fire strikes and you can walk around the block. I'm not sure if I'll have time to meet up with Sol but will save the number. I took Maria de los Angeles number in there a few years ago, saw her walking near Checkers a year later and texted to see if it was her. It was and her curiosity was peeked, came right over to my apartment, 200p, and had a fab session with a great spinner, tight and tan who made the sweetest music in bed. She was Angeles in AreaVIP. Don't see her anywhere this year and numbers don't work.
My biggest surprise last week wasn't a chica as the pickings were slim but the empanadas that were lined up at the bar. This whole continent is filled with good empanadas but that choclo empanada with a little spice was more than I expected from Orleans.
Yes, it's true, sort of, but.
I need to be incognito during my visit. I just walk into this coffee shop and get a coffee and scone and women come up and offer this? What is the trick as I have never tried to do anything like this and you all make it seem like you just go in and have coffee and leave with a hottie. Can it be true?
Peter
Welcome to the board, Peter.
Yep, it works just that way. Life is good in this city. The caveats are as follows:
1) If you read the previous posts on this particular thread, you'll realize that most of us regulars are not necessarily in love with this place for either quality nor value.
2) I don't know what your Spanish language skills are, but at least some Spanish is helpful here, since, unlike a Privado, where they basically guide you into a room with a sure thing after you make your choice from a line-up and pay, and you really can't screw it up, even without a single word of the language, at the cafe you do have to do your own meet-and-greet, and negotiations. It's unlikely you'll meet an English-speaking chica there.
3) You will be overcharged for that cup of coffee, but this is really just a matter of a few Pesos.
On a more positive note, many regulars, even if they have written tepid reviews, DO use this place. One nice thing is that is is generally hopping on Sundays, when other options in town are quite limited.
AND, for what it's worth, I probably have had my single best BA sex experience with a mousy little red-head I picked up there, in 2008, so it's very much a case of "diamonds in the rough", or perhaps just "YMMV".
Good luck! PM me if you have more questions.

If you want to be incognito go to a privado

Peter
If you need to be incognito, then don't try hanging around in Orleans. It is on a very popular corner of town and anyone can see you as they walk past. Then if you do manage to negotiate a satisfactory agreement with one of the chicas (if you don't speak spanish this may not be so straightforward) you then have to walk out of the cafe onto the street with the girl to take a taxi or to walk around the corner to the local transitorio. So many chances to be seen and probably a rather expensive experience as well. Instead much better to go to a privado. Just press the buzzer and in you go. You could be going into that building for many other reasons. For 150 or 200 pesos you can spend a memorable hour with a beautiful girl, even on a Sunday. Forget Orleans and read the board.

Observations on Cafe Orleans
On my last two visits to BA I stopped in at Cafe Orleans, I had a beer and left without taking anyone out. The women do not compare to some of the privados and the evening action. On my last trip a fellow member and I walked by, we looked in the window, nothing spectacular and so we carried on our way to dinner. We got about 10 m from the door and were pursued by a pleasant but persistent chica from the provinces. We chatted for a few minutes and finally had to be rather direct is saying that neither one of us was interested. That is the first time that I have seen an Orleans chica pursue so aggressively.
And no my fellow monger was neither Miami Bob not Exon so it was not our movie star magnetism that drew her to us.
I will be back in BA next week and I will probably stop for a beer to get in that mongering kind of mood.
