Question about hotel policies

Hi all. I'm coming to BA for the first time next week. Can someone tell me if hotels will limit the number of times a day I can have a chica visit me in my room? One chica already told me my hotel won't allow two women at a time. But will there be a problem if I want to spend time with one chica in the morning, another in the afternoon, and another in the evening? Want to have maximum fun, of course, and sample a number of the local beauties to find a favorite or two for my future visits.

I am staying at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center in Microcentro.

I suppose if the hotel doesn't allow this there are always the privados, but I have a number of independent chicas already lined up and would prefer to be at my hotel.

A quick response would be most appreciated!

First of all, they should all be in awe of your stamina and applaud as you walk by. Second, there's probably a shift change in there so no one person will know of your fecundity. Third, you can always ask the person on duty if it's a problem when you return the first one. You'll probably get a grin and a "no problemo".

Spent time with three ladies, as anticipated, the first two had to check in and I got charged an extra $25 for a "visitor", the third (in the evening) didn't get tagged as a working girl, so came straight up to my room, therefore no extra visitor fee. Like you said, BA Luvr, shift changes may have helped. I was at the Sheraton Convention Center. Would have been nice if the ladies didn't have to register, but at least nobody got turned away.

So unless someone has a better recommendation in that area (micro centro) , I will likely stay there again on my next trip.

[/QUOTE]I thought I should share my experience, as almost all of my clients come here on business and stay in hotels. I have personally never had a problem with any of the hotels. Now some have a keycard system on the elevator (meaning you can't just walk through if your not staying there) and I think they would become suspicious of a girl riding the elevator for hours until someone happened to get off on the same floor as your room. What I usually do, is present myself at reception and say that I am here to pick up a friend of mine mr X in room X and could they call up to the room. Once the call is put through I say "hey its mia, I'm downstairs. Are you ready or would you like me to come up" (avoids awkward situation in lobby when you don't recognise the client) so then when I hang up the phone I tell reception that my friends not ready and that I should go up.

I think it has a lot to do with how your lady friend is dressed. Obviously hot pants and thigh high boots would raise some eyebrows!

Now, if you are accompanying the lady up to your room there should be no problem- after all they don't know who she is what if its your girlfriend? A decent hotel would not want to risk a guest kicking up a fuss. I would just act like your in an intense conversation with her and head straight to the elevator so they can't stop you.

I have never heard of them charging, as long as the person doesn't stay the night. And I also can't see why they would have a problem with 2, even 5 girls going up- unless its blatently obvious that these girls are working.

My advice would be either- arrange to meet at a close by bar with the girl and then take her back with you, or give her your roomnumber so she can call up. The sheraton microcentro requires a keycard, so walking straight on by is not an option. I hope this has been at least somewhat helpful

Some have 'guest fees" like the Emperador while others do not. Check out the hotel threads.

Very few chicas expect to go to the the hotel without checking in at the desk. The policy is there for protection of the guests (including you) and the hotel. I also think that it serves to protect the women, too. I was leery of the process at first, not really wanting to create a written log of my trip (other than on AP). I nearly soiled myself several years ago when I received my bill at the Emperador and it had a line item "guest fee," considering that I needed to submit the bill for work. Thankfully, that was just the itemized bill and the final bill seemed to omit that item. Only once in my Bs As experiences did this pose a problem getting to the room. I had dinner with a friend and when we got to the desk, she didn't have I'd and the guy at the desk wouldn't cut me any slack. He was correct and we were out of compliance. No biggie, so we went to a telo.

*Writer's tangent: I chronicled the above-mentioned trip to the telo and am currently laughing at the memory. We ordered some drinks to be sent up and when the door bell rang, I opened it, expecting I guess a bell hop (not knowing that the supplies were passed through a little door (like a dumb waiter). By opening the door, I switched off all the power (including lights) in the room and we had to fumble around in the dark to find the phone and get power restored. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming*

If the staff at the desk isn't familiar with exactly who you are and whether or not you are staying there alone (when not entertaining a guest) , is going to be taking a very big risk by stopping you on the way to the elevator and asking you to register the woman on your arm. I usually stay at one of the same two places, both of which are chica-friendly, where most of the staff recognizes me. They can conclude that it is highly unlikely that the woman on my arm is my niece, unless I have a very large extended family. At one of the two places, if I don't stop at the desk, they don't ask. At the other, it is a little more awkward to get into the elevator without exchanging greetings with the desk staff and therefore, I usually just stop. The female staff at the latter get a good chuckle out me and my high jinx.

As Mia pointed out, how the lady dresses and conducts herself makes a difference. Lucianna and Jasmine and the other well-regarded women on the forum are well dressed and fit right in at any hotel. Lulo speaks better English than most of the staff at most hotels. Time of day may also play a roll. While the club chicas usually change into something less provocative prior to leaving the club, I seem to get more sideways glances when returning to the hotel with a friend around 3 or 4am (regardless of how she is dressed). That said, Argentine women, regardless of socio-economic status, generally take pride in their appearance and dressing stylishly and appropriate to the occasion. Rarely have I had a friend come visit me that was inappropriately dressed upon her arrival.

All of that said, if you can't live with the check-in process, rent an apartment.

But then I know some girls will automatically check in, because they are more comfortable doing that, and that's OK too. But I have found that hotels typically DO add an extra charge for a guest once they've checked in at the front desk, even if they don't stay overnight. And some places actually escort the woman to your room, and make you sign the extra tab for the guest. No big deail really, but it can be a bit embarassing for the parties involved.

And here's a tip for Wild Walleye. I've never felt comfortable letting the extra charge make it to the final bill, in case the "guest" description stays attached to the charge. At every place where I've had this issue, you can ask to pay for some "personal items" separately, such as these guest fees and a load of phone calls (if you've had to call around while there to arrange your fun). Then I circle the personal items on the preliminary bill, pay cash for those items, and so when the final bill is prepared, the items don't show up at all. This also has the added benefit, if you're uncomfortable about this issue, of not sticking the bill to your company for some of the expenses resulting from your personal escapades while on a "business" trip.

This was the one and only time a recreational expense became intertwined on a bill (which needed to be submitted) with a business expense. I was completely unaware of the policy and heading to airport in a rush when apprised of it.

I think that the charge was less than US$50 and whereas it was not itemized, I decided against drawing any attention to it, but the end result was that the company didn't pay for my play.

When I was there, my apt was 75 feet away and I think I had a better place for the cost. You might try to look into apartments for the stay.

You might try to look into apartments for the stay.[/QUOTE]Thanks so much...I did look into private apts as well...but they were slow to respond (the nice ones) and for a 2 bedroom (I'm going with a friend) plus the fact that I'd be paying the whole cost per night for the 1st 2 nights since my buddy is meeting me 2 days later...I think the hotel route is better and cheaper..comes out to $115 per night...and ya get maid service daily, which is a big plus for guys who run through a lot of chicas.

I emailed Mauro at Ayres de Recoleta Plaza, which I decided would be my hotel of choice (not Ayres de Recoleta Hotel) and I asked this exact question: "I am thinking of staying for 10 nights in your apart-hotel and I have a question regarding your guest policy. Are female guests allowed? Do female guests have to check in with the front desk / security when they arrive?

His response was: "Our rates are valid for one or two persons. In case you book a single room, you will be able to invite someone to stay at the room without aditional fee. But all the people at the hotel, have to check in at reception.

Do you think I asked the question in the correct way or not? Should I just straight up ask him if I can have hookers back to my room and not be charged a fee? Don't worry about the hotels too much. My sense is most (not all) freely allow bringing back chicas, or tolerate it. If you're coming back late, after 11 pm or midnight, there should be little lobby traffic, and unlikely to be families with little kids around. They prefer it to be a bit discrete, so just go to the desk (if required), politely have your guest sign in and show her ID, say "gracias" and go about your business. In other words, don't waltz in groping your chica and loudly talking about what you're going to do in your room!

You can get more of a feel for how much they tolerate chicas by chatting up the night doorman. Make sure it's someone who will be working around the time you'll be bringing back chicas. Tell him, Hello sir, how are you, blah blah blah hey I might come back tonight with a chica, is there any problem with that? Don't say lady or hooker, just "chica". The doorman will understand. Guage his reaction how quickly / clearly he responds. If he quickly says oh noooo problem, you're good. You can also ask at the reception, to confirm any charges, but I might use "guest" instead of chica, especially if it's a woman.

The best reason not to worry is that you can usually cancel hotel reservations with 24 h notice. So in the unlikely event you pick a hotel that has no tolerance, or a guest fee, you can cancel and find a different hotel. Just have a backup or two in mind. I know the Dazzler Tower Recoleta (Las Heras 2163) is chica friendly, no charge, the rooms are all right. Also I believe the Howard Johnson Boutique Recoleta (Pena 2049), which has really nice, comfy rooms. Another tip is to select double or 2 occupancy when you reserve (assuming the rate doesn't change). That way you've got an argument for no guest fee, just in case.

As far as the boliches I suggest you check them all out at least once, and see what's up. The taxis are cheap between Centro and Recoleta. Be sure to bring down lots of US dollars, so you get a 9:1 exchange at the local cambios, versus the 6:1 exchange from the ATMs. Look up the Currency Exchange thread.

As a bonus I'll also show you my barrio Parilla downtown where you can get a churipan for 15 pesos.

There was another guy that posted about doing the "make a reservation for two thing." It's going to cost you a little more but might be worth it. I think Esten makes a good point about dialoging the night door guy. Couple that with walking in as if you own the joint with your chica and you should be golden. In most hotels the night desk guy has chicks he can call, so it's not like they are shocked by it. Show no fear though.

If you get to reception with a chica and they ask her for her ID and she says she hasn't got it on her, she's lying. It's a ruse to delay the inevitable and run down the clock. It's the law that everyone has to carry their ID with them at all times, and they do.
