Not a real convenient location for the clubs but plenty of privados in the hood. Also just two blocks from the bigger Pelvi's, which is a good place to go to get fired up.
I have stayed there a couple times a few yrs ago, pre-devaluation. The AC units, (possibly the heater too?), is a noisy window type. Lobby and breakfast are good. Hallways were real old with poor bare bulb lighting on the room floors. Like so many hotels around BA, this promises so much at lobby level then leaves one wanting once in the room.
No problem with chicas but one night, the toilet wall flush button stuck, continually flushed, overflowed, and I had to turn the taps off. That part was not chica friendly. (At least they have bidets!)
You are close to Congreso here so you can probably go watch a few protests just down at Rivadavia.
An energetic walk to Recoleta clubs takes 25 minutes, 10 minutes by cab.
