Regal Pacific Hotel or Hotel Madero by Sofitel

I plan on coming down in a early 06 and would like to read any comments from anyone who has stayed or knows anything about these 2 hotels.

Pro's or cons. Girl friendly etc.

The Hotel Madero is one of the nicest hotels in BA. A new four star property. Excellent breakfast buffet. The only drawback is that Puerto Madero is a bit away from the most areas so you end up taking a cab all the time. Taxis are cheap but it's still a bit of a pain. Puerto Madero is a nice enough area but lacks the neighborhood character of places like Palermo and Recoleta. It is perhaps the safest area in all of BA.

I've never heard of a hotel in BA that isn't chica friendly provided that your chica is decently dressed and well-behaved.
