My value is better measured in pesos
Always found "Benny" to be a girls best friend no matter the country. My value is somewhere in the negative neighborhood, just above deceased!
It will help my ego if I can get into double digits.
It is all in your attitude

I think that the notion you are getting to is that self-imposed barriers to success, whether conscious or subconscious unnecessarily limit the field of opportunity, before one even steps foot on the battle field.
I happen to agree. So much in life is about how one carries oneself. I have seen women of marginal attractiveness command the attention and desire of everyone in the room and I have seen guys much less attractive than me walk out the door with some great looking ladies.
The purest form is ingrained in the DNA of some people. They are totally confident with themselves, no matter how accurate or inaccurate their self image is. Others come to their confidence through achievement and experience. Still others compensate for a lack of confidence by substituting other 'qualities' for general deficiencies in their self image, usually in the form of throwing money around or blatant displays of wealth (this is not P4P to which I refer)
While on this subject:
I was driving in a large US city yesterday and heard this really load music booming from a car pulling up beside me. When I looked over, I started laughing. It was a normal looking, 30-ish guy dressed in city-black trying to look cool and draw attention to himself. Absolutely no sense of subtlety, confidence or purpose--just hey everybody look at me.
Now, you can see this type of behavior anywhere and anytime. What made me laugh was that he was driving a black Bentley Continental GT convertible (base price $197,000) If you are driving that car and still feed the need to over compensate, you got problems.
Back to the subject at hand. In my opinion, to be successful in the game to which Iamz refers, you need to be free of preconceived notions about what is in your league and what is not. You have to believe that you can pull any chica (non-pro or pro) from any type of setting. Then, you have to try many times and learn from each experience. You must keep your confidence in tact despite rejection and keep trying.
