I always get this visual when I think about it
I'm not a doctor, and I don't even play one on TV, but as I recall Viagra was developed as a failed drug for treating high blood pressure - while the test drug didn't help lower blood pressure too much, it seemed all the lab rats had woodies all the time.;)
Here's a fragment internet article about this topic.
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Viagra-Lowers-High-Blood-Pressure-11047.shtml
So there is a staff meeting at Merik, the R/D guys are on one side of the table all wearing labcoats and pocket protectors, in suits and razor cuts the Marketing guys are on the other side of the table.
The Chairman asks the R / D guys how the low blood pressure medication is doing. The respond by saying they are making progress, slower than they hoped, but progress. Then one of them in an embarrased way mentions how funny it is that all of the subjects get an erection after they take it.
At this point one of the marketing guys jumps out of his seat and says, "did you just say you found a hard on pill?"
Thus history is made.
Compounding Pharmacies in BA?
Here's a question.
Does anybody know of any compounding pharmacies in BA? Though I don't use is since I have the libido of a mountain lion in heat, I have heard that compounded Sildenafil Citrate in gel form works twice as fast. For all you Viagra buffs, you might want to try tailor made recreational meds.;)
Quote:
" Generic Soft Tabs Viagra are oral lozenges containing quick-dissolving compounds. As with the standard Viagra, Generic Soft Tabs Viagra will stimulate the dopamine receptors in the hypothalamus and mid-brain, enhancing the natural erection process ".
BTW: For all you gardening mongers, Viagra makes your plants " get wood ".

Of course I was asking for a friend
BadBoy: Like you I have no need for these products, of course, but like you I investigate out of general curiosity and so that I can advise others. What I have heard from those who use such products is that Bifort-M Sildenafil masticables [chewable generic viagra] works pretty quick. Makes sense, as you [no, no, not you or me, someone else] swallows the stuff ground up rather than having to wait for a pill to dissolve. Make sure to ask for Masticable, they make regular pills too. 50 mg is said to be like 50mg Viagra, so adjust dosage to suit.
Generic Cialis (tadalafil) Daddy Rulz: have you asked for it? Anyone else?
I haven't asked for it lately, it is my understand that it isn't available at all in a generic form, perhaps one of the Docs here could answer. Not that they would be using it personally but would only have a clinical understanding as to it's availability.
Farmacity Azul Cordoba 533?
Daniel (pharmacist) hooked me up with 25 (50 mg) pills for 80 pesos.
That works out to 12 (100 mg) pills for 80 pesos.
I get 100 mg strength in the USA.
12 (100 mg) pills in the USA are about 120 USD.
Those 12 cost me 27.50 USD At 533 Cordoba.
God Bless Sandoz!
Best Regards.

Smuler
Smuler,
Thanks for the update on Vitamin V. Allow me to make a small but significant correction to your report - for the benefit of new readers.
It is FARMACIA AZUL, not FARMACITY AZUL. The reason this is important is that FARMACITYs are located all over the city and will NOT sell without a prescription.
Did you use a credit card to pay for your purchase? I ask because they will give a 15% discount for cash - if you ask. The MSRP on Sildenifil has been 71.99p for 20 X 50mg for a very long time.
On your next visit, if you will head to the Farmacias RP (several locations, one being 901 Corrientes) - and buy 3 or more boxes of 20, they will give you 40% discount. That works out to 43.20p per box of 20.
