San Miguel de Tucuman Province, Tucuman City: went to a place called Gel last night with my local friend. It's just like many of the places we know in BA only they have live sex shows with some local studs and they also pull local chicas (yes, local chicas go there to watch the sex shows) out of the audience and try to entice them into having sex with the studs. There was a large selection of local Tucumanas there including some outstanding ones. There are no rooms on premise and you pretty much have to take the chicas to a local telo. Me and my friend each picked a chica and set out in my friend's car to go to the local telo which was just like a McDonalds drive through - you literally drive right up to a spot with a two way speaker just like where you order your take out food and tell them what type of room you want from a list of several different types like with or without jacuzzi, etc, etc, and how much time you want. Then you drive right into a garage with an automatic door and the door closes after you drive in. Then you get out of the car and they buzz the room to the door open and you go in.

This is definitely not for the English only speaking folks, it's advisable to have a local guide since there wasn't a single word of English spoken there. I also found out the hard way (no pun intended) that I'm not much into the two couples on the same king size bed thing, found it impossible to get aroused with an audience and also had dropped about 10 loads in the 3 previous days and didn't have the benefit of the little blue vitamin (boy could I have used it last night). The chica I selected was magnificent looking in face and body, probably easily a 9 but she was very young and showed impatience with me in my unfortunate predicament last night and showed it about every 20 seconds (THIS just isn't working! she kept reminding me which really pissed me off to no end). So here's a case where being with close to a 10 just didn't do it for me - it was also near 5 am and I'd been drinking Fernet with Coke and wine all night and like I said, about 10 loads in the three previous days including yesterday morning.

The sex show was real, besos negros, blow jobs, fucking, the works and the stud starts out doing a strip tease and he comes out fully "ready" having tanked up on Viagra and having been blown in the back room in advance.

So I'd say that if you're fluent in Spanish or have a local guide and have a car at your disposal that this would be a nice, fun place to hang and find some nice sex but failing those qualifiers I'd probably recommend against checking out "Gel". Whenever I hear anything like this, I always take it with a huge rock of salt. I've heard similar statements about places all over the world and I've never found it to be true. You should hear what people overseas say about American women. That they are really loose and that they will literally jump you on the street. I wish it were so. I try to tell them that it's not true but they won't believe it. That's why western women get harrassed so much in certain countries. The men in those countries would never think about treating the local girls like that, but they firmly believe that all western women are there to get "it". There was this one guy in India who thought I was so lucky to live in the US. I must have sex at least once a day.

I've been to a *LOT* of places in the world and my overwhelming thought is that women and men are pretty much the same the world over. Most differences you see in behavior are very superficial.

I worked for 2 months in Tucuman helping an American engineer in an industrial project. As non-Spanish speaking foreigners, he and his family had hard times in Tucuman to eat out, enjoy local entertaiment and going outdoors in the weekends.

I went out to eat with young and middle-aged American engineers at nights, and none of them received smiles form girls, either in Restaurants or on the streets.

I, as a local, found the city very beautiful and had the oportunity to interact with local engineers and local workers, as well as some non-pros. The culture of the city is pretty conservative, at least at first sight. You eat even better than in BA and people takes their time to work and enjoy life, nothing rushed, but nothing really wild either.

Maybe things changed in the past 3 years due to starving and recession. Maybe there is more action than I think. But for sure the NOA is not as cosmopolitan and open as Buenos Aires.

Just my personal view.

Andres, te pido disculpas, but I think you need to know a local of Tucuman as well as I do in order to get a truer feel for what living in Tucuman City, the capital of San Miguel de Tucuman, is really like. My friend Martin is a native, born and bred Tucumano, 31 years old and he's made it quite clear that the locals do this Servicio Trafic thing almost as a joke since as he says, the local non-working chicas think nothing of jumping your bones if they like you but that they really like gringos, especially US gringos! Imagine that! Martin says it's truly very easy to have sex with a non-sex worker there and that it's doubtful that you have to see a non-working girl more than once or twice to get down her pants. So trust me when I tell you that sexually speaking my friend has painted anything but a picture of a highly conservative population in Tucuman. DownBA

I was in Tucuman for a couple of weeks. The city is beautiful and full of historical landmarks (Tucuman is our Philadelphia, where the Indeendence declaration took place), but not much to do for a tourist. Unless you plan to visit the Valles Calchaquíes (after Tafí del Valle and Amaichá del Valle, way north to Salta), It wouldn't be worth the visit.

As for the local ladies, their are beautiful but the Argentine Nortwest (NOA) is characterized by being the oldest and most conservative region of the country (similar to New England respect to America, being Buenos Aires comparable to San Francisco, CA). I doubt that middle-class ladies be so open in such a rigid Catholic-family based society.

I've been getting a real earful lately from an Argentinian friend of mine from Tucuman in Northern Argentina visiting me for the last few weeks. He's been telling me that the locals use a service called Servicio Trafic which I've coined a boliche on wheels. My buddy says that every Thursday night he and a bunch of his buddies call up Servicio Trafic and they load about 15 chicas in a van that's well marked with wording that makes no mistake about the service it performs, drive them over to your apartment and you choose as many girls as you like for a 4 hour party that includes striptease, lesbian shows and doing as many of the chicas in front of your buddies or in one of the bedrooms, with or without your buddies cheering you on, with full-service included for what we'd consider a ridiculously cheap price. Hey, I'm thinking of starting some "Servicio Trafic" tours for gringos. In general, by the way, my friend assures me that in Tucuman you can get a really beautiful, talented chica to spend the whole night with you for under $100 P!! He also has told me any number of times that more than likely if you're a gringo and you have some command of the language that if you go out with a local chica one night and she likes you that you'll wind up doing the horizontal rumba!!
