I believe I fixed the issue. Let me know if anyone still sees it.

    An explanation:

Depending on how you guys get into the forums / thread listings, you may not realize too much how we have threads split up between "Main" and "User Blogs."

Main threads are what used to be stickies and sat always at the top of the thread list. On AP and other ISG websites, the stickies were threads that were meant to be principle threads of information about the specific forum in which they were stuck and were created by Admin, although sometimes user-created threads were elevated to sticky status if they contained central information.

Below the stickies would be listed threads that users have created of their own topics, hopefully related to the forum in which they were created. These are now called User Blogs.

You only see the difference between Main and User Blog threads if you come into the forum from the Forum tab on the top menu, and go down through the forum hierarchy to get a thread listing at the lowest sub-forum. At that point, when you get a listing of threads instead of more subforums (we usually only go one or two levels deep) you see the tabs at the top of the thread listing. As well as Photo Gallery (a list of photos specific to that forum instead of the whole site) and soon Escort Ad and Review tabs.

Many people may come in from the "Front Page" direction. On that page, we have sidebars with ads and information, and in the center a listing of threads from all forums in the order that they have been updated. We do not differentiate the thread listings as to whether they are "Main" threads,"User Blogs", etc.

I mention all that because the bug I left was only happening when a "Main" thread was viewed."User Blogs" were functioning correctly. Therefore, when you guys came in from the Front Page view, you didn't realize what "type" of thread it was and one time was main, another time user blog, and that's why it seemed to be flipping back and forth possibly randomly.

    Sorry about that.

It's possible I may have introduced a bug somewhere. Hang on. I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what's up.

Thought it was just me. Been having the same issue but not consistent! One thread top to bottom, next thread reverse. WTF? Just curious.

"Escorts" are a work in progress

Hey guys, I want to thank you for noticing the escort stuff (I know kind of hard to miss in some instances) and the comments you're providing.

I also wanted to comment that the Escort stuff is a work in progress. We have been working on it for awhile, but we're close enough to kind of let it out of the bag, so to speak, and get some comments from users while we continue to tweak things on our end.

The data for the "chica attributes" has certainly not been settled on yet. We were aware of some possible confusions on some of the things you all mentioned here. We put some thought into them, but we knew we would need to modify what we had as time went on, and as we collect input from you all.

    Comment related to SunSeeker's comments:

We do have age as an attribute of the chica. However, if the escort does not fill that information out (and any other information on her profile she doesn't fill out) , that item will not display on the list of her attributes. If a user is creating a review for an escort who does not have an ad in our database (see note below) , he will be able to enter an age at the point he is filling out the escort's information and review rating.

As far as prices, we are still considering that. We need to think about how to achieve this. For example, do we give an overall price? Should we allow the user, when rating a session, to select the services he received, and possibly not received that were desired? If we allow the users to indicate services received, do we allow the user to indicate a special price per each service (which may have been an additional cost above her standard rate). If we allow all that, will the users actually use it? (I. E, that's all a lot of work if no one uses it!)

A couple of things to note:

    - Each escort that creates an ad in our database will have both an Ad thread and a Review thread created at the moment she creates her profile.

    - All escorts will be restricted to posting ONLY in their Ad threads.

    - A user may post in an escort's Ad thread. However, the escort has post delete permissions in her own AD (only) thread, like regular users currently have under the "User Blogs" tab on threads that they create. Think of it as her place of business and she can have any content she likes in there. We do not encourage guys going in there and giving her a hard time, calling her out on things, etc.

    - A user may post in the escort's Review thread (but the Escort cannot). Only the Admin has any control over deletions of posts in an Escort Review thread, and has normal moderation control over the thread as well.

    - When a user posts a new report in a Review thread, he will be presented with a rating form, as well as the normal comment posting space. It is intended that users who will write a review of the chica post his ratings AND a comment about his experience. Users may continue to comment about other comments made in the thread, ask questions, etc, without performing a rating by not checking off any ratings beside the rating items.

    - The best way currently to see the ads and reviews is to click on the "Forum" button on the main menu bar in the header of the website. This will take the user to the Main Forums listing. At the top now are listed the 4 most recently activite for escorts both in their ad and review threads. We currently have them separated out between Ads and Reviews, but are going to take that out and list the top 8 escorts with the latest activity being marked by activity in either the Ads or Reviews.

    - The escort has the ability to select which forums she would like her ad to be displayed in. She will have 5 choices. When this is configured (not currently working) the ads that will be displayed at each forum will be filtered by escorts who have chosen to advertise there. I am talking about forums such as "Independent Chicas","Clubs and Boliches","Street Walkers", etc. There will be "Escort Ad" and "Escort Review" tabs at the top of the forum where currently you see the "Main Threads","User Blogs" and "Forum Photos" tabs.

Also, I might take this moment to point you all to our Venues database:

    Venues Database

This is accessible from the Main Menu bar at the header of the forum, by clicking on the "Venues" tab. This is a list of restaurants, boliches, bars, accomodations, etc, that we hope to present to the users to give them the ability to get a list of places they might want to visit. The filtering and sorting is fairly extensive and one can whittle the list down to a few places of interest and print the results to a PDF file.

We collect data on services rendered by the venue, address, phone number, website, and have a google map link for many venues. Also, if the venue has a thread in the forum, a link has been provided to that thread from the report results dsplayed.

Eventually we will provide a rating system and a feedback system to allow users to help us keep the information in this database up to date for the good of all.

In addition, we are working on an Executive Travel Summary (coming in the not-too-distant future) which will contain a list text summaries by pre-defined sections related to specific places (descriptions of where to find things you may need when going to a city) , such as Buenos Aires, Mendoza, etc. The text summaries will be accompanied by a listing of venues in the city that pertain to the section being described.

Remember that what we are presenting now is under development and please treat any bugs or other issues you see in that light. We welcome all helpful comments.

Very true! Pants sizes are different also, for example its only one number (not two like in the states) and the pants are all the same length!

Argentinian bras do not have cup sizes (letters) ; only numbers. Check it out.

The numeric ratings. 1,2 3. Are they from 1 to 5 or 1 to 10? I don't see any way to rate the accuracy of the photos. How about, for incall, a rating of the facilities? (I like to avoid places with stiff sheets.) Is a commentary / text section possible? Tables are great, but it's difficult for a table to accommodate everything that might be worth reporting.

Bottom line. A great addition to the forum.

    Bob.
Age and rates would be nice as well.

A letter to the moderator / editor

    Dear Editor,

I am facing this problem for past few weeks.

As and when I am reviewing my posts posted during the course of the day, sometimes my cursor goes and settles on "close blog" (if started by me) or on "delete post" (my post) and If I accidentally press "enter", the whole post gets deleted or the blog gets closed.

I recommend, that you add a 2nd command where the software asks " do you really want to close this blog" or " do you really want to delete this post" instead of just deleting with one click.

Thank you very much for reading my post, Mr editor.

    Jackson,

I read the posting guidelines a few times and don't see the section or reference to "political commentary". The post you deleted in the "jokes" section was my use of satire or humor "to attack human vice or folly through the use of irony, derision, or wit". I think, as bad as my sense of humor might be, unlike another poster, I at least tried to poke fun at the joke posted by Sidney. The other poster posted the following:

    "I agree.

It wasn't funny, it was sad.

    Sad but true."

Is the "sad but true" statement a form of satire or is it a comment that the joke posted by Sidney is a true "political commentary" or observation? Maybe one of Murphy's other laws is apropos here; "Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool."

Regardless, in the future I will be careful and not post "political commentaries" in the jokes section of the site. I will continue my tradition of posting, at least 80% of the time, information others can use.

    Respectfully submitted,

    Facundo

    ============================================

    Facundo,

The "Jokes / One liners" in intended to be used to re-post humorous stories and other items commonly available in the public domain.

We don't use the "Jokes / One liners" thread to post items written specifically targeted to and written at the expense of other forum members.

However, your comments would have been appropriate for any of the political commentary threads, such as "American Politics during the Obama Presidency"

    Now stop playing dumb.

    Thanks,

    Jackson

    Site down.

    JC:

While not having AP available may seem like not having air to breath, it is a pretty amazing wealth of knowledge that is available (when it is available, which is probably 99.9% of the time) for the special, good-guys' price of $0.00.

Respect for your contributions. When the site is down, we need to fall back on other resources, like memory and / or blindly taking one for the team.

    Best,

    WW
