For what it's worth, I agree 100% with DH: if you don't need it don't use it recreationally. I need it and have tried all 3 brands, and find that Levitra and Viagra just give me a headache. Cialis works best for me at 10 or 20 mg, but I suffer with an acid stomach for the next few days. It has the advantage, though, of lasting 24 hours so I'm good for a morning session after having one the night before; sort of like a two-for-one.

The "dead wood" effect that Moore refers to can happen with all of them, and is extremely frustrating. Cialis has less of an effect that way, at least on me. As a result, I have some left over Levitra tabs if anyone wants to give it a try (will trade for a beer or maybe even a couple of good phone numbers The one thing I would strongly advise against is buying off-branded product, such as is available by mail order from places like India. The strength and quality is likely to be very variable.

I remember seeing a Viagra / Cialis / Levitra commercial (not sure which one) on TV back in NYC area that had a spoken warning "if an erection lasts for more than four hours, seek medical attention immediately". This lends me to believe that the "neverending erection" reported by Doggboy is a genuine possible side-effect that, while obviously rare, occurred on enough occaisons during clinical trials of these drugs to be more than a singular freak occurance experienced by one deranged individual.

50 mg is too much for a Moore sized guy. 25 mg much better, much fewer side effects. Agree overall it is not a pleasant pharmaceutical. It has its place if you are in your 40s or 50s with no ED but want a shorter refractory period (recovery time) but it does desensitize ("numb") and make it hard to come. Use only when absolutely necessary. WAY less intense side effects with lower doses and they seem equally effective to me. Even 12.5 mg has noticeable effects for me and also you get a nice morning wood.

Basically you OD'ed. I think the Pfizer publicity machine advocated a larger than necessary dose to make sure the effects were obvious and thus well reported. I took 50 the first couple of times, I think three times, and have taken 25 maybe 8-10 times, and lately 12.5. I wonder if that is a placebo effect. Anyway maybe it would be good to crush it up and mix it in bong hit like we used to do with Quaaludes.

I don't believe Dogg's doctor's story, which should not be construed as not believing Dogg. Or maybe this idiot did 200 mg. Some guys I know do 100 mg and that seems insane to me, but they say it works for them. Me, my head would explode.

Thanks for the guinea pig report. I've never tried it, or others, and don't plan to, until I reach the point where it's the only alternative. When properly "tuned", getting bonerific has never been a problem. While everyone is aware of the possible side effects, I was handed some first hand anecdotal evidence a few years back by my orthopedist in Miami. I was his first scheduled appointment one morning and he was an hour late (very unlike him) Upon showing up, he told me he was on ER call that week at a local hospital, and had been called in the previous night to fix up a compound fractured leg, from a car accident. He said the OR he needed was busy, and he thought, why the fuck can't I get in there asap to fix this lady's leg? Well, he get's in to the OR to see what's going on, and there is some poor bastard in there who's had a hard on for god knows how many hours. My doc says they have got so many needles in the guy's dick that it looks like a porcupine. Apparently, following such an incident, one's ability to ever achieve another erection (EVER) is limited, if not completely futile. I am guessing such a reaction is rare, possibly on par with dying from a bad reaction to medication of some other sort. Even so, recreational use of something with such consequences is not for this little motor scooter. Not yet anyway.

Out of curiosity, I popped a 50mg Sildenafil for the first time a few days ago just before going out. I was at a pharmacy earlier in the week and basically just told them "gimme some Viagra". The cost was about 10 pesos for four 50mg pills. Overall I didn't like it and don't plan on taking it again.

I read about the effects on the web and experienced several negative ones. It definitely affected Mini-Moore – about 30 minutes after ingestion I was in Madonna and had a moderate boner just sitting and looking at the girls, but I often get that anyway. Then I was ready to go upstairs and fuck one of my chicas and I went to take a piss. Christ, Mini-Moore was already at half-mast and wouldn't budge when I took him out to piss. I walked out of the men's room with a circus tent in my pants. He didn't really get hard by himself, but the slightest contact/touching caused an almost instant boner.

We began the session and Mini-Moore was standing at full attention before I even dropped-trou. I slammed this poor girl mercilessly for 17 minutes (prepaid the 20 minute session) and he was harder than steel. Harder than usual I'll admit. But he was kind of numb and so was I. It didn't feel nearly as good as it usually does. This was especially evident at T-minus3 when I was ready to blast-off into the girl's face. But this drug did me wrong. I had a headache, blurred vision, and just felt woozy, even slurring my words somewhat. My nuts ached the the next day. It actually reduced my sex drive – though Mini-Moore was armed and ready for battle, I didn't have the desire to pound out a 2nd chica and there were several hotties available. How depressing, I felt like a stoned pacifist. Even fucking the first chica wasn't that great, it was more like sticking a steel dildo that wasn't connected to my nervous system in her snatch rapid-fire. My brain, which is the body's most erogenous zone, was numb and dumb.

Feeling quite passive and somewhat disoriented, I left the pussy den. I had drank maybe 4 beers, which is nothing for me. Maybe this was just an initial reaction to a foreign substance and your system later becomes accustomed it. Like chewing tobacco – I became dizzy and puked the first time I took a dip of Copenhagen but then I got used to it.

I don't plan on using the drug again. Has anyone else been affected so severely/negatively? I'm an average sized American guy, about 175 pounds.

It's called Farmacia Azul. Recently bought 12 of the 50 mg. for just a shade over 3 pesos a pill. I split them in half and notice that 25 mg. works fine and the side effects are much less noticeable (I weigh about 75 kg).

I was in BA in March and I bought Sildenafil 50 mg. made by Northia labs for just about 3 pesos each. There are 4 pills in each box. I bought 60 and payed 180 pesos. They work for me. The usual face blushing andslight headache sometimes. Just go into any drug store and don't be timid, just say you want, the viagara 50 mgs. And ask how. Much. If they ask for more than 3 pesos a pill. Tell them that you bought them before for 3 pesos. If they act tough, say "I will go back to other store". And you will see the price come down. Allways rember that you got the money and can go to any drugstore. One drugstore guy told me 8 dollars US for a pill and I said I'll give you 3 pesos. I got them for 3 pesos. Good luck.

The other thing I would note is that it tends to give me a headache. So when I have taken it, I have taken a tylenol or two at the same time. You may also get a red flush to your face, akin to what some guys get when they are drinking alcohol.

Also, the dosage will depend on your physical state. Some guys need only 25mg, others 50, still others the maximum dose of 100mg. The more you take, the bigger the headache.

As Hunt says, it delays ejaculation, and it shortens recovery time to "get it up" again. You might however be able to get an erection again, but not yet to come - this happens sometimes to me. But everybody might react a bit differently.

So, best advice, try it, and report. And, maybe a good idea, ask your Doc before trying if it is safe for you.

I'm a Viagra virgin, but getting to the age (>50) where I might need a boost. Simple question: what effect -- if any -- does Viagra / Cialis have on ejaculatory control and time to climax?

Let's say (on Viagra) you're banging away missionary style and shoot your load after the standard 10 minutes. What then? Stay erect, and go for two (or five) What if you're erect and just can't make it to a second climax -- does one just declare "time's up" and take a cold shower?

Sorry if this sounds naive, but I really have no idea.

In my limited experience with Vitamin V, I found it to delay ejaculation somewhat. Which can be frustrating or welcome, depending on your perspective. I have also found that it is most useful for shortening "recovery time" after blowing your first wad, rather than as a need to get it up in the first place.
