Great memories at the block, in the 70s we were 18 and running wild there, loved the jewel box, went with a few frends got a dancer from there, we all fucked her in the car all night untill the cop knoked on the window and told us to roll out.

Coked out, reffer smoking, drunk, just fucked up to the gills, love those days.

Thanks for reminding me the block, think its gone, now its all about the harbor and hard rock cafe, sometime change is not so good. I got a 100 stories about the block don't get me started; I'm getting misty

There you go Meforu! That's what I'm talking about. My buddy and I used to drive up, see the O's play in the old Memorial stadium and sample the many pleasures of the Block over a weekend. We used to hit Fell's Point as well and get smashed at places like "The Horse You Came In On". No more Memorial stadium (though I like Camden Yards and had the privilege of attending the first regular season baseball game there) , just about no more Block, and Fell's Point is full of super expensive condos. We're getting long in the tooth.

I know exactly what you mean about Madonna. I was there last year. It felt like a titty bar in the USA. That's the kind of place I want to avoid.

The Triangle was too mainstream / expat for me, though I haven't been there for nearly a decade. Maybe I'll give it another try.

I know that everything is more expensive, but it's hard to believe that the clubs for the Argentine common man have vanished over the last few years. They are an integral part of Argentine society. My theory is that people have not been venturing out enough, or at least not posting enough. If I have to travel further out from Recoleta / Barrio Norte that's OK. We'll see.
The non "mainstream / expat" boliches are fading fast. And I agree, a damn shame. This is not just a Buenos Aires phenomenon but something that has been happening, to one degree or another, worldwide for the past twenty / thirty years. Not to say the working class boliches don't exist wherever you go, but they are on the way out. No surprise really as "mom and pop" establishments are struggling to make a buck and being replaced by glitter and the constant "come on". Take the states for example, and specifically "red light districts" that proliferated in big coastal cities. Nearly completely extinguished. Twenty to thirty years ago you could hit blue collar bars / boliches in a number of seaside cities in the states, knock back a few beers, get laid and generally enjoy yourself for a reasonable amount of money. I'm talking most of the big cities along the east coast where I used to hang out, as well as the gulf. The downtown area of Buenos Aires (seaport town) as a perfect example-Cutty Sark, Jaz, Ness, Catto's, Hook, all with a nautical theme, nearly all gone or going, save for Hook. And then you have probably the best blue collar boliche in Capital, Oro, which shut down about two years ago.

I'm ranting as I always preferred these kind of places, and they are more and more difficult to find the world over.

Hey, Tequiler Tim! Remember "The Block" in Baltimore. Now that's what I'm talking about. Used to be a thriving area and now it barely exists.

Whew, I'm in a shitty mood before two cups of java.

    Moore-

One of my Argentine employees goes to Sodoma on a regular basis and reports that the girls will go for $300- $400 AR and that the drinks for men are $40-$50 AR. I went with him one time more than a year ago and I was not particularly impressed with the talent. Compared to nearby Recoleta outlandishly priced venues such as Madahos and Hippo where drinks are $190 AR for men Sodoma is a "good deal". Unfortunately, the Buenos Aires hooker club scene of the "good ol' days" is long gone and has been replaced by something that is more expensive than banging an escort in either Miami, Madrid or Rio de Janeiro. I haven't even been to Cocodrilo (a place I must have went at least 50 times over a four year period) in over a year and a half. I keep busy by banging mostly non-pros along with a fews "pros" I have been doing off and on for years. You know you've been in Buenos Aires awhile when you've been banging the same hooker for SIX years.

The last post on the Doly's thread (9/25/10) says it's clausurado.

    Maybe it reopened?

There has been a lot of activity in the apartments / privados section and some excellent reports. That's where I learned about Esmeralda 517 during my visit last year, where I had some great sessions.

Not much reporting here on the Clubs & Boliches section though.

Affaire Pueyrredon was a locals' place on Pueyrredon and Cordoba. You'd walk in, have a few beers at the bar, listen to some Cumbia (which actually sounds good when you're mongering) , and there would would be about 10 chicas. Low key and not crowded. Rooms were just upstairs.

Prices were maybe 30% higher than at a large privado like Esmeralda 517. And I love privados. But sometimes its nice to hit a casual boliche where the prices aren't too high, the staff aren't too pushy, and you can have a few drinks as you're checking out the inventory.

I'd appreciate any suggestions you guys may have for a similar place within a 15 minute taxi ride of Recoleta. I'll be there in 10 days.

    Thanks,

Lot's of things have changed Moore. Firstly, the clubs are expensive (relatively speaking). The higher end clubs are absurdly expensive, though for those with money to burn, burn away. The more "relaxed" boliches are diminishing. Very few now, at least in Capital. Madonna, down the street from Affaire P, is still open but with close to zero vibe, chicas that are fed up with idiotic management, and close to a waste of time (and expensive for only a very short trip upstairs). Newport is full of beaten up over 40's and at least for me, depressing. If you want to hit Recoleta I would sample Sodoma. Not the relaxed boliche you are looking for, but with a mix of ages, some attractive girls and not super expensive.

I spend 90% of my boliche time in the Triangle and the large majority of that in Hook. Tuesday through Friday is best. Saturdays are pretty poor with alot of the best chicas not there on Saturdays. Like every place, it's way more expensive than it was just a year ago but not Madahos or Hippo expensive. A bunch of hot younger chicas, though again with the current mentality, some with attitude. The back room for a quickie is another draw. Beware that these days buying a chica a drink is not a guarantee that she will have two assholes in her panties before the night is over. That can be a problem with some of the hotter chicas in Hook.

Ness is the same and I would guess the most unchanged boliche since you were here. Catto's hasn't changed much either.

    Two Questions

    Hi,

Sorry if this was burried somewhere in this thread, and I just missed it, but I couldn't find it. I understand it's somewhere around Puerrydon and Paraguay (I think) but does someone have the EXACT address of this place?

The reviews are mixed, but I'm kinda interested.

Also, what is the BBBJ policy here? Is it included / expected? Negotiated as an extra? Not to be? Or up to the individual chica?

    Thanks, mongers,

    BTG

Am I the only one who goes here?! A recent price check indicates 20% inflation over the past year.

    30min - 180 pesos.
    45min - 240 pesos.
    60min - 300 pesos.

I stopped in after midnight last week and was the only customer. Soon after walking in, 4 chicas are kneeling on barstools, proudly showing off their asses while playing with their cell phones on the bar counter. There was one hot chica that I was definately interested in. She was initially standing across from where I took a seat, then went to the barstool nearest me to show off her tight ass. Fantastic. I was taking it in while sipping a beer and she turned her head a couple times and caught me looking at her. Well of course she comes over. 10 seconds after sitting down next to me, I am sporting wood and she is caressing my legs and chatting me up with a sweet voice. We continue chatting and I realize I have met her before, last year with an amigo who went with her and said he had a good time.

Her name is Evelyn. Early twenties, black hair, white skin, natural C/D cup, attractive face, slim although could lose just 5 pounds. Very sweet and pleasant.

At this point she is now caressing my dick through my pants and I am pretty sure I am going to go with her. Awhile later I bought her a drink, more petting and chatting. She explains the options and I go for the 45 minute option. She gets her coat to cover up and we head outside to the adjacent door. Up in an elevator to a floor with several short-stay rooms. You don't have to pay for the room it is included in the price. Very basic room with a bed and television. Evelyn has a hot body. Great tits which she enjoys being handled and sucked. She got some baby oil and after some making out I had her give me a long sensual handjob. She got into it as well and started playing with herself. I had a very good time. And it was a nice easygoing hassle-free ending to the evening.

Price for 45 minutes was 240 pesos. My beer was 30 pesos and the required chica drink was 50 pesos. Total spent 320. I would repeat with Evelyn.

A recent price check here indicates prices have remained stable over the past year.

    30min - 150 pesos.
    45min - 200 pesos.
    60min - 240 pesos.

This all for the hotel next door. To take a chica to your own place I believe there is a minimum of 2 hours (480 pesos). A mix of older and younger girls here. A few good lookers but not all.
