Why does he have to flame away, FT? Believe me, I've done exactly what you've suggested - spent a good deal of time in the Microcentro clubs. And I came to the conclusion that I dislike them. But beyond saying so here, I haven't made a big deal out of it because, as you say, it's a matter of personal preference. I think it is better to operate in a positive fashion, to highlight those experiences which we prefer, and cut out the flaming of disfavored experiences altogether.

Negative comments are just as valuable as positive comments, as long as they are based on fact and / or experience - eg they are generally constructive. If you go to a place and don't see anything you like then you should by all means post your experience, with an explanation of why you didn't like the place. Perhaps it was loaded with black dominicanas and thats not your thing. However, dominicanas might be another guy's preference and you may have just identified his perfect boliche.

But posting something like "I would probably puke if I entered X place" is a waste of space. If you haven't tried something, don't post about it, except maybe an (as in one) intelligent question.

Some guys I know have grimaced in pain just by the suggestion of visiting Envidia, for example. They have never been within 5 miles of it, yet THEY tell ME that it sucks. WTF? Although I'll forgive most of these guys since most are "just off the plane" gringos and still have "more$$$ = better" ingrained in their brain. Not true in Argentina - more$$$ in this trade often equals worse!

Generally speaking, the only way I know to find a shitty boliche is by going to the gringo-infested places. Incidentally, these places are also where you will spend more$$$. This is especially true for guys like me who like real Argentine girls, who IME are most likely working in "average" or even "below average" places geared for locals. My general experience with "high end" clubs is that they tend to be staffed with girls that management guesses appeal to gringos. Just say no to plastic and bones, or least thats what I say.

PS I believe I wrote once that I havent visited the "triangle" for some time. I pulled chicas out of there a couple of times but my successful experiences there were very hit and miss, strongly weighted toward miss.

Frankly Cutty Sark has become one of my favorite clubs in town except for their pricing on drinks. Its one of old town Buenos Aires most famious Brothels. When you go in there take the time to just look around and soak the place in and I'm not talking about the girls. The place is beautiful, knowing something about construction my guess is that it would take a small fortune to reproduce the place.

In my option the quality of girls in there are comparable to those in Madaho's whom have orders not to leave the club for anything less than $300 peso's, its the house policy. Where as in Cutty Sark almost the entire menu can be purchased for half that or even less if you can negociate like DickHead. I don't have those skills so I end up paying $150 peso's. But like I always say "It doesn't take any brains to spend money, any dumb Fuck can do that"

Which brings me to the point of what Marak5 has written below.

Marak5, fellow Mongers is a "Fuck" and a "Dumb Fuck" at that. Anyone that would "Stiff" his "favorita" girl friend after a TLN has got to be just plain stupid. Then go on this board and "brag" about it to the rest of the Mongering community has got to be out of his mind. What the man doesn't realize is the Buenos Aires is a very small town when it comes to Mongering.

MoonDog, a very well respected Monger whom many of us know personally, with years & years of experience in Latin American Mongering has taught us something. The, TLCN which stands for " The Latin Chica Network". I've defended you at times and actually enjoyed your whirlwind adventure in BsAs. I found your tastes fascinatingly different from 90% of the guys I know, which made the read interesting.

Now, I wish you wouldn't cast aspersions, especially from a position of relative ignorance. The majority enjoy the triangle, CuttySark and Jaz. For quality and value, they rank at or near the top of BsAs offerings, depending upon taste. The atmosphere is fun and frivolous, there are plenty of pretty girls, GFE is likely, particularly with a little research and on-site study, TLN is available, and the total price quite reasonable, even including the chica drink.

Flirting for an extended period of time, sharing a drink, spending a couple of hours with the girl and venue of your choice, and getting her telephone number for a future appointment on your own time. All for under $100 US?

If you sampled all of this multiple times and then decided it made you nauseous, I would be surprised but not judgmental. So, I invite you to try these places next visit. Then, you can flame away unabated.

Up in the Triangle the best deal is in "Ness" and as I recall their about $5 peso's under "Catto's" & "Hook", $15 peso's for Mongers & $35 for Chica's.

Thease two Chickie Wickie's One Tree's got posted below are a good example's of why I'm learning to like Cutty Sark a lot more than I used too.

They've build up their inventory too where they've got a pretty nice stable of talent that's more than competitive to most places in town.

Theres a down side though, There to Fucking expensive, $20 peso Monger drinks & $40 peso's for Chica's just doesn't get it.

I've become to like Cutty Sark over Jaz Jub even though their both owned by the same people and Teddy the bartender at Jaz is a friend of mine. I believe that "Cutty" has a better selection of girls. This was not true several years back. But over time they've build up an Inventory in their "Stable" that would compare to Madaho's.

What I don't like about any of thease clubs is the pricing has simply gotten out of hand, 20 peso's for Monger drinks and the Outrageous price of $40 peso's for Chica drinks. Thats more money than the most expensive Steak in town.
