Most Argentine guys treat women like shit. I think it's because there are soooooooooooo many hot young thin pretty girls here, not like sex prison where most of them carry an extra 20 pounds or more. Here beauty is much more than not being fat. In addition after the crisis most of the young men of means (maybe not most but a lot) moved to Europe where there would be more opportunity. I think that explains the 70;30 ratio in bars. In addition there is a fine tradition in Argentina where younger girls are attracted to older men because they know how to treat a lady.
With all of this said, I still think in 20 days your going to have a hard time finding a temporary girlfriend. You might get lucky if your charming, girls here are very liberated sexually, but I wouldn't count on it. Also you will spend about the same amount on dinners and movies before you get play. In Argentina as well as sex prison there is no such thing as free pussy, you either pay directly or indirectly. Now the difference will be if you make it with a non pro the sex will be amazing, Catholic guilt requires that they feel much more "love" for you before they have sex.

Based on your comments about non-pros, I'm pretty sure that your posts are solely based on theory. Mine are based on fairly vast experience. Not a single time in 5 years here have I encountered, in practice, the theories you post about.
"Fine" (your word) girls to me are pretty, sexy, young, and reasonably educated and fun to hang out with.
I'm mostly class-blind here in Argentina. Ive dated, and 95% of the time nailed, local girls from Avellaneda, Lanus, Caballito, Flores, Palermo, Belgrano, San Isidro, etc. Which covers the working class to middle class to upper class spectrum.
A gringo "wouldnt do" for an upper class family here? A true Argentine upper class family here would prefer a gringo, especially a Brit. Thats why they take English names and teach their children Scottish folklore and shit.

General rule
Although obviously there are exceptions and success stories, IN GENERAL non-pros in South America are going to be hesitant to get involved with a gringo who is only here for a short stay. Never say never, but you could certainly spend a lot of time (i. e. your entire stay) trying to hunt up a relationship with an amateur and not get anywhere. And it's still going to cost something.

It's not a spell correction program, it's a grammer correction script.
In your case, you wrote a single "U" all by itself, and because there's no word in the English language spelled "U", the script identified it as chat-room style writing and changed it to the word "you".
The solution is simple: Please refer to the United States as "USA" or "US", without an isolated letter "U".
In additon, you can always edit your reports as you many see fit immediately after you post them. The script does not run when saving an edited report, only on the initial upload.

I was at KK a year ago. I am a middle aged Gringo. Early in the evening, great beer and conversation. Late at night the place was packed and I had a few local women who spoke decent English hitting on me (a new experience for me) took one back to the hotel for a very hot night. Never asked for money - gave her some cash ($25 US) And told her to buy something nice for herself. She was happy and left her phone number. I left BA the following day, so never followed up.

Lookit here, put your head on straight. You're going to be here 20 days and expect to find a girlfriend because "I would not pay U.S. $100 for any women."
Please consider:
1) No "normal" woman (especially here) wants a boyfriend for 20 days, especially if you don't speak enough spanish to be amusing, without expecting to be compensated.
And, BTW, "fine Argentine girls" don't go to bars, especially unescorted, and don't want a goofy foreign boyfriend (nor would there familys allow it) anyway.
2) You will spend far more then $100 in gifts, meals, and other penalties of "normalcy"
3) "Professional" girls here are as often as not "regular" girls who have discovered they can't make a living, much less support their child (or children) by working at a job, even if there was one which there isn't.
As for the Irish pubs, last Sunday 3 of the ladies who were here were planning on going to Kilkenny that evening. You will meet them there, consider them "normal" and still wind up paying them, cluelessly thinking that they are not "pros".
Try amigos.com if you want to meet a non-pro, and be advised that even there you are going to run into the problems discribed above!
Of course, this is just my opinion, YMMV (but I don't think so!)

My experiance with Argentinian women is that they are very friendly and approachable. However at the same time they are reluctant to be somebody's vacation squeeze. If you were going to be living there no problem. If you speak Spanish I would say approach anybody you meet, waitresses, clerks in stores etc. Ask them to dinner and a movie and see how it goes.

Tourists looking for Argentine girlfriends
Ok everyone I am a newbie here to this site and to Argentina as well. I am not really interested in the Pro action as I would not pay $100 USD for any women. I was wondering about finding a normal girlfriend and where might be the best places for this in BA. I have heard that there are some Irish Pubs and wondering if these were the best places to meet a fine Argentine girl. Your thoughts please. I will be there the beginning of Nov. For about 20 days and don't have a clue.
