Well, just talked to her today. This is what, April now, and we are still in touch. Hadn't really emailed for a while. This is really the first time I had called since a couple days after I came home. But she was happy to hear from me and it was nice to speak to her. She's so fucking jealous though, which I don't understand. I am fine with her fucking a different guy every night, but she's already asking me if I'll be with her every night next time I am there. She remembered my birthday which is coming up next week.

I kind of wanted to warn her though. With her name and picture on this site, I wouldn't put it past one of you motherfuckers to go in there and try to ruin it for me. So I just said if any old man comes in there to say weird things about me, it's all bullshit. If you think I am paraoid, a similar thing happened to exec talent on the rio de janeiro board with people from this site, so I just wanted to play it safe.

She was kicked out of Solid Gold until just like 10 days ago, which I guess sucked for her. I think she wanted me to send money at first, and was upset for a bit when I told her I wasn't going to. Honestly if I was some rich ass guy I would have sent her some cash for the time she wasn't working. It was mostly my idea for us to start meeting outside of solid gold, so it only would have been fair. I just honestly didn't have the money to send.

I wouldn't say we were in love, but this whole experience did open my eyes quite a bit. First of all, she's like 27, so since we did have such a strong connection I'm not really surprised that neither of us has moved on as of yet. Dealing with her and the 19 year old girls in the cabaret is quite a different experience. The main thing though is that I guess you can find that type of connection in the strangest of places. I know most likely in the long run that her and I won't be together, but who knows. She says she still thinks about me all the time, and I do think about her although it has faded somewhat since I haven't seen her for a couple months. But I have to think, are those guys in the cabarets so bad? I mean she told me I was only the 2nd person from solid gold that she ever had feelings for. But after reading how most of the guys on this site behave, I believe it. Also I plan to live in Argentina and she's getting up there in years. Stranger things have definitely happened.

I coincidentally was in Solid Gold on a night he was there. In a 'Post', Marak5 accused of spying on him. He felt I was sent to the club by the leaders of the AMA. I sent him a 'Private message' denying his accusation.

Alright, this is the last report for me. I talked to her on the phone and shes most likely getting the boot from Solid Gold. She asked me if I'd support her for a few weeks. Just kidding! I'm not gonna send her anything. They told her, 4 or 5 nights no work and after that they would talk with her. They are pissed though. Oh well.

All in all, I would have definitely had a better time if I just trusted my instinct rather than always thinking about what people on argentina private or isg.info would say. Going in, I was ok with paying her. There are plenty of guys in Argentina so shes not dating foreigners with little spanish for no reason. It just took me a minute to wrap my head around the fact that the girl liked me but also wanted money at the same time.

She told me, she wouldn't even consider that I wouldn't pay her, regardless if she likes me or not. After working as a hooker for a year, really all she sees in guys is a money sign and she was completely forthcoming in saying that. She says its a problem, when she talks to guys, all she thinks is "how much you pay for me?" She does want to get out of it, but I think the money is just too good and it's unlikely that she will anytime soon. She bought a house, she wants to buy a car, she buys things for her whole family. I hope things work out for her in Solid Gold. It is a more family type atmosphere for the girls and they provide better security for them. She said she could work in Shampoo but they don't watch over the girls that close and a lot of the girls use drugs and steal she said. She said she also worked in Madahos for 2 nights but didn't care for it.

In conclusion, a rather dramatic week for me but I had fun.

Well. Money rules. I can make MUCH more here than what I used to make at BA, at a more pleasant working environment, doing what I like and devoting a very reasonable amount of hours per week. I guess that other argentinos appreciate that.

Without revealing my exact location, I can say that I enjoy a university hub, with lots of young female students and LOTS of lonely immigrant women, so the non-pro scene is rather acceptable. Of course, P4P sucks (that's why I continue lurking here) but nothing is perfect, isn't it?

I agree. I just could not believe it upon returning. For me, even the non attractive ladies are nice to look at in Bs As. They may not all be "hot," but they at least nice to look at. Even the women in their 50s and 60s are pleasnat. In Chicago that age range is just down right scary. Well here is the last night of my report.

Thursday we met and I was kind of sad as it was our last night. Meeting with her was like meeting with any regular girlfriend I've had in the USA but way better. I had all the same feelings, the same anticipation seeing her, and pretty much the 6 or 7 hours we'd spend together would seem like about 5 minutes to me. We made each other laugh the whole time and talked about everything and nothing. She told me a lot about her life, and it seemed kind of sad. Messing around with johns for a living does not seem like fun. Just when I was there, some Mexican dude was calling her like 6 times a day asking where she was and bringing her presents into Solid Gold. I also told her about some chicas who I thought were doing drugs in the bathroom, but she told me that sometimes chicas will sit in the bathroom for like 10 minutes just to cut the session shorter for the guy.

We went to eat in Palermo Hollywood. We found a restaurant that had just opened that day and it was pretty dead. But she said that the 2 girls sitting inside were famous Argentine movie stars. Later we went dancing at Niceto in Palermo but I wasnt feeling that good so we stayed until about 2 30. After that we just walked around in Palermo awhile before heading back to Recoleta after awhile and walked around some more.

After that we went into my hotel. At around 4 30 she got a call and suddenly had a very worried look on her face. It was a friend of hers, a cab driver, and he said someone from Solid Gold saw her walking around in the streets with me. He said someone from Solid Gold might be coming to look and see her to confirm it so its best for her to leave right away. So her and I rushed downstairs and ran around the corner to get out of view of the hotel, and her friend came and whisked her away about 2 minutes later.

I talked to her at noon the next day and she said she would meet me at my hotel at 6 30 to come with me to the airport. But 6:30 rolled around and she didn't show, so I called her and she was really upset. "Mike, tengo muchas problemas." She was definitely busted with solid gold. She told me that she was going to have to pay all the drinks from all the nights she missed, but I guess at least she wasn't fired out right. She said that she couldnt come with me to the airport and had to go to Solid Gold early that night, but I said I would try to call her from the states. I tried calling a couple times, but it wouldnt connect from my cell phone, and when I dial her number through a calling card, a fax machine answers. That was the number I was calling her from Argentina so I know it's right, so I'm gonna try to get my teacher to help me out with it. I might send her the money for the drinks since I was totally the one pressuring her into meeting me outside of Solid Gold.

I was using a disposable camera so this is really the only nice picture that came out, I was hoping for more. If you're ever in Solid Gold ask to talk to her (Maggie) from what she told me YMMV with her sessions as she pulls a lot of tricks with guys, but shes really fun to at least have a drink with.

You feel that way after leaving the USA for a few days. Imagine what its like to return there after 6 -12 months in Argentina. The female situation in USA is like the economic situation in Haiti. One forgets how incredibly impoverished the place is until he actually visits again (and gets the hell out asap).

As in Haiti, there is a miniscule minority of "elite" in the USA - fairly attractive, sexy women that is. I generally see about 3 during a 10day visit there, whereas I often see 5 in 2 mintues just crossing the street in BA. The other 99% there is like a sewer. And Im only going by appearance - DO NOT try talking to them or even looking at them, unless maybe you're Brett Favre. The demand and competition for the this paltry 1% from 150M deprived US guys is rather high as one might imagine. And the elite are very arrogant as a result - can you blame them? So as a member of the 99% commonfolk you usually have to settle for digging your dinner out of the garbagedump and be grateful you got that.

And my 1% figure is not an exagerration when talking about the total population. The ASU campus or the new hires at the Dallas Ernst&Young office are not the general population. Walmart and the post office are. How may hot chicas do you see, and maybe chat up, while waiting in line to renew your drivers license. Come to think of it 0.1% is a better estimate.

The only reason I am talking shit to easy go is because that guy has been following my posts on this board around. Obviously I have been to Rio and Bs As 4 times and been reading isg all the time, I know chica lies and games but for some reason this guy thinks that because I am young he has to tell me the deal. I havent had 1 problem using my credit card in Bs As and this guy is like, ha ha, never do that, ha ha, but whatever.

I am back in the USA now and it is sickening. Getting into the airplane with all the fat Americans really made me super depressed. I literally had a scowl on my face looking at them. Flying back into ohare was even worse. In Bs As, every 1 out of 2 girls is hot, I counted in ohare airport I saw maybe 3 attractive girls in the whole damn place. Then walking back to my apt, man is it fucking depressing. I don't even really do that bad with the girls in the USA but I am just so much happier being around all the babes all the time.

All I want to do is speak spanish. I was speaking spanish for like 6 hours a night with my chica and by the end I was making marked improvements. Now I'm back and leaving messages for all my friends in spanish and its not funny for them. At least my spanish teacher here is from argentina but she said she won't give me lessons if I tell her about the cabarets.

I hate to step into the fray. But dude, you need to step away from this girl! You've got a "Stage 5 Clinger" on your hands. This relationship was screwed from the start because you both did not discuss expectations. Now, you both are still confused about the sex for money thing, but seem to like one another. One thing I noticed is that the guys are kind of gay and neurotic. I was listening to this guy and dinner talking and hes going on and on and on about how ugly he is, how he needs to pay chicas, and how no one in his life likes him. He seemed like a pretty normal looking guy so it was kind of funny. I had heard that this city has a huge population of therapists and everyone is in therapy. The guys also blab to each other in bars and cafes like women, they are so chatty. Definitely way different than the USA. If anything, I feel like I fit right in with these guys. I have a long term therapist, I have intimate relationships with men and I blabber on with guy friends all the time.

I also read in this book about Buenos Aires, that someone said (and they were saying this in like the 1800s) that Bs As itself was kind of shitty, there was shit in the streets, yet the people are very arrogant. I kind of notice that to be true. Maybe its just because I'm spending my time in Recoleta and places like Las Canitas, but Argentina itself is not that nice. The government is completely incompetent. Its a very poor country. Yet the Argentina people are some of the most arrogant that you will come across. Personally I don't find it offensive and I havent really run into any problems, but just the way these people walk around in Recoleta is kind of funny.

1) SOME guys are neurotic, but not "guys" in general. What is true is that Porteños are among the top consumers of "shrink services" in the World, specially from middle class, but not EVERYONE is in therapy.

2) Yes, BA wasn't a real city until 1890 or such (was half a village, half a city) but the problems it faced by then weren't that different from those of NYC or Montreal, where epidemics wreak havok on the slums due to poor hygienic conditions.

3) Many porteños are arrogant, that's true. Perhaps, most of them.

4) "Argentina itself" (understanding that by Argentina less Recoleta and Las Cañitas) is much nicer that these neighborhoods, In fact, most tourists come to see the Iguazú waterfalls, the Perito Moreno Glaciar and other gorgeous landscapes and provincial lifestyles (Ichigualasto, Humahuaca, Mendoza, etc)

5) The current government may have some inefficiencies, but is far from being "completely incompetent". How many governments from poor countries can raise USD 10 Billion and pay all at once their foreign dent to the IMF?

Its a very poor country.

While Argentina is poor, I think you need to look at some neighboring countries to see real poverty. I know that last year in my travels to Lima and some parts of Asia they would kill to have the poverty in BA.
